Hello! I'm fairly new to this site and I've been looking everywhere for makeup advice on my crooked (ha) situation but could not find anything and finally decided to ask.

The fact is, I've got a pretty crooked nose that makes me look two-sided: the left side of my face looks fairly nice (as my nose looks thin) but the right side of my face (the side my nose bends towards) looks cheeky (meaning, my nose looks pudgy and I look like I have "big cheeks" on the right side of my face; proportionally, it looks awkward). My face, therefore, is not symmetrical.

I was wondering if there is any way to create an illusion of a more straighter nose/symmetrical face with makeup...? I've read somewhere that applying blush on the side my nose bends towards (right side) can create this illusion but have tried and not noticed anything different. Also, I never wear makeup and have a tannish brown face (thought it might help if you knew).

Please help! I know looks shouldn't affect my self-confidence but this issue bothers me every once in a while and makes me a bit sad. So, I would greatly appreciate any help =)

Much thanks!!

hi, you need to search shading and hilighting , there are many tips on how to change the shape of your face, nose, ect. one great kit that i use is color theory by cynde watson, available @ hsn.com. she has a kit for lips, eyes, and (the one you want) face. comes with instructions on shading and contouring. hope this helps!

You may want to give a try to a nose corrector such us Nose Secret at www.nosesecret.com
For those like you that are not considering a nose surgery and want to fix some imperfections of the nose this is the best alternative to try.
I have a friend who is using this type of products for decades and she not only has improved the shape of her crooked nose but she has build a lot of self confident. It only cost around $35.00 and now they are running a Free Shipping offer and they have even good deals for shipping outside the United States.

Hi,
Not to be mean or anything but why don't you fix your nose?? I had a crooked nose because I smashed it twice once when I was kid and than in a bus accident. My dr. did a catscan and I could not breath well meaning my brain was not getting enough oxygen and it could be deadly. THe dr. had to do a whole recosntruction of my nose, break it again and do plastic surgery. I found a good surgeon that knew how to word this to my insruance so they would not think it is cosmetic, he took pictures, send copies of everything he could and I got it approved like in two weeks. I had surgery done and my nose is fixed now. I am saying this to you so you feel better and also you can fix your nose which on the long run can cause breathing problems. I personally was not breathing right for years. Hope this helps you. :)
