(I started this topic)

I need to know a good lipstick brand to buy that will stay on, stay moisturized, and won't flake off.

Right now I use Revlon ColorStay.
Pros: Color stays
Cons: Lipstick crumbles up into little balls over time. Feels as if my lips are peeling. This happens even when I put gloss over it.

If you reply I appreciate it :)

My big search has been long lasting lipstick that doesn't ball up. Every drug store brand that I've tried does that. I now just stick with the better lines, although I've found they don't last as long. The best ones are lip stains. Laura Geller and Benefit make good ones that last, although the colors are a bit heavy. My favorite right now is Benefit "Love Ya". It comes in a big fat pencil, plumps pretty good, and has staying power.

I have been using the Revlon colorstay lip pencil in nude then putting regular lipstick (I use Loreal) on top. The liner helps it stay put for a long time but not dry with normal listick on top.

Try Cover Girl's Outlast All Day Lipcolor. It really does LAST all day, through meals as well. It may not be "lipstick" in the way most people think of it, since it comes with the lip color AND a topcoat (I guess you could call it that)to add moisture and a bit of gloss.

Personally, the gloss is a bit too "glossy" for me, so I use it just sparingly, enough to keep the lips moist. The undercoat of color will STAY. Won't rub off, won't kiss off! :-) It is very difficult to remove too...only baby oil will do it. And that's after letting it sit for a few seconds, breaking up the color.

If you skip the topcoat, lips will feel a little dry. But boy does it have staying power. And it has NEVER flaked on me.

Hands down...my all time favorite is L'Oreal Infalliable Lip. It doesn't flake off or anything like ColorStay does. However, be sure to use a thin layer and wait two minutes for it to set before you apply the top coat. I've tried many different ones and this is my favorite. It lasts all day, doesn't flake off or get crumbly and is not drying at all. Plus I love how the gloss coat smells too.

I totally agree w/you about the use of Benefits "Love ya". I have been a user of Benefit make up since inception. I absolutely love their line of cosmetics, even their lovely B Spot perfume. "Love Ya" is creamy, non-creasing, non-drying, no flaking, etc. For me, it does last a good 6 hours before I have to reapply, and that is even after eating meals. Also, again I agree w/Laura Geller's line of lip colors, great staying power and lightly scented (not over bearing at all), just a refreshingly calm scent.
Thank you kindly, Dr. Leigh
