(I started this topic)

I love volume but it is so difficult to achieve some times!! I've seen those Pantene commercials and was curious about those products but know how drug store products can be.

Also curious about root lifters- what would be a good buy?

Yeah pantene products are really have good work to get volume. Many of us preferred only these products hugely. I also recommended this one compared to drugstore products.

I was using for a while john frieda- full blown blonde - it's pretty good! now I bought Redken 06 thickening serum and I love it...yes, you will dish about $13 for that but also I spent much more on other products combine which did absolutely NOTHING!
I purchased Redken based on totalbeauty product review - this one and also Paul Mitchell were the best ones without spending too much.

i have been using neutrogena clean volume shampoo. it has been the only thing to plump up my fine hair in all the products i have tried. and besides that i am able to use it everday because it is very gentle (i have to wash everyday because i also have a really oily scalp). i can wash, dry, run out the door for work, and my hair is clean, bouncy, soft, and FULL all day long - seriously. it's the only thing i will use, and is a great value for the price if you don't want to spend big bucks on fancy overpriced hair products. i don't use ANY other products on my hair. i have found that most products out there only weigh my hair down, and add to the grease factor, making it limp and heavy - yuck. the only other thing i put in my hair is a deep conditioner once a week, to keep my hair healthy and protected from the blow drying. anyway, i like to keep it simple and low maintenance, so my style might not be for you, but it is working for me as far as volume is concerned.

Here are two things for you to try that I found have worked for me. The first is from Aveda and it's a powder called Pure Abundance Hair Potion. This is great stuff since it will give you volume and suck up any excess oil from your scalp. The second is Samy's dry shampoo. This one will give you both volume and suck up the excess oil and I got it for only 6.00 at Ulta. Hope this helps you.
