(I started this topic)

I recently had a beautiful baby girl in Jan. During my pregnancy my upper lip started to get dark. Well I thought that it was my hormones going all crazy and was sure that it would go away after the baby was born....NOT!! My little girl is now 6 months old and it is still there!!! I just recently tried the Nair Upper Lip hair remover and it worked great except the darkness is still there. So it is not the hair just my skin is dark in that one area. I have an olive skin tone and enjoy my days on the beach with the kids. Anybody have any ideas what the heck this is or suggestions?? I know this is wierd but I just do not even know where to go from here!!!

It's defiantly because of hormones. My mother told me after she had her first kid her hair went for golden blonde to dark brown. I wish there was something I knew of, but I can't help you. I would do some research on the web and see if there is anything out there.

I'd try some All Nighter. That stuff is great for getting rid of my dark spots. see: beauty society

I also had a baby...just 4 months ago...I also thought my discoloration will disappear very shortly after birth. Unfortunately I still have the big dark circle in the middle of my forehead. I was told it may take even 9 months or more to fade away...also one more thing....if you had the dark line on your tummy and you still have it, you are fine because that will definately disappear and so will probably the darker lip...just give it a few more months.

Your problem is not unique but I think I know something that will help. Look into Shiseido's White Lucent line and the Brightening Concentrated Serum. This should help with the discoloration but it is pricey. They also have a full line dedicated to brightening the skin.
