I have been getting a Pedicure once a month for the last 2 years! I was dragged into a beauty salon by a girlfriend of mine as a dare, And i did it! I will admit, It was a VERY awkward feeling walking into a beauty salon and being the only male there...

After sitting down at the Spa Pedicure, And the lady was working on me, I quickly realized that i LOVED it!

I was asked what polish i wanted, And i didn't know! I told her to give me what other guys get. She ended up giving me a flesh pink colored clear that looked good!

Last years St. Patties day, A few friends and i decided that we were going to paint our toes green, And had a total blast with it!

Bottom line, It makes me feel so much better after getting it done, And makes my day a good one!

Hey, pedicures feel great and they sure help make your feet look ten times better! My wife got me into this and I enjoy somewhat regular pedicures for maybe 4 years now.

And speaking of polish on guys toes, yeah I've been wearing it on mine too for a couple years now. But I do not wear it in public view, I just do it because both my wife and I like the way it looks. We've gotten so used to it that my feet look kind of odd now without it.
I'm not trying to get a reaction from anyone and I don't really care what others think about it, so I keep it private. I think it is becoming more acceptable for guys now, but I'm not ready to show it on my feet quite yet.

I was looking for some different shades of nail polish online a few months ago when I came across a line of nail polish for men! I thought it was either a joke or some kind of marketing gimmic, so I emailed the company (BB Couture) and asked them if they were serious. Why would men need their own nail polish?

The owner emailed back and told me that they had been receiving inquiries from salons for some masculine-looking colors to use on men because they've had a few male clients who requested polish on their toes after a pedicure. She said that the colors men seemed to like were very limited, and so she decided it was time to develop some masculine shades of nail polish and see where it led.

Well, apparently their sales have been increasing because since then I am seeing their name pop up more frequently online lately along with articles about more men wearing their toenails polished.

So last week, I decided to order a few of the colors to see if my hubby would be open to considering it. I presented them to him and explained that if he didn't like it, I would take it off and that would be the end of it, but at least "try" it to satisfy my curiousity.

But first, I sent him to get a professional pedicure so we were beginning with a half-way decent starting point. He gladly agreed (he's enjoyed a few of these before).

I decided to try a deep silver/gray as the test color since it looked about as manly as I thought nail polish could get. It turned out better than I had expected, even though I had to endure his persistent squirming (he was not used to having wet polish on his toes). He didn't dislike it, so he agreed to wear it for a while to see if it 'grew' on him.

Five days later, he was still wearing it and I was actually beginning to like it on him. I asked what he thought and he said it was 'okay'. On to shade #2...

This one was a deeper green, almost a dark shade of army. It also looked good on him (I thought so anyway), but he was not so sure about it. He reluctantly agreed to give it some time and after he wore this one for a few days, I asked him how he was feeling about it. He surprised me by admitting that he actually liked this one now that he'd had some time to get used to it.

I am beginning to think this idea of men's nail polish maybe isn't so far out. I may just try a few more colors to see how they work for hubby. Honestly, I think it makes his feet look great! I mean, at least now he seems to take better care of them and I've even see him using lotion on his feet a few mornings.

Maybe it's not for every guy out there, but he and I are becoming beleivers.

How many of us have seen men's feet that grossed us out? Most guys don't do much to care for or make their feet more attractive, and so they end up looking like some kind of animal paws - or worse!

I am happy to say that my husband is now an exception to this. I dragged him in to the salon for a pedicure with me a few months ago because he 'needed' it, and the results were even better than I had hoped for. His feet no longer scratch me in bed and he even keeps his nails trimmed and smoothed, as well as using lotion to keep his callouses from getting hard and crusty.

And speaking of nails, we went in for our latest pedicure "date" together just last Saturday. I noticed that the salon had a new display set up with nail polishes "for men". I was both surprised and intrigued. I thought "what would my hubby's toes look like with a deep army green on them?". So, I talked him into trying it - for me, of course. He was not that enamoured with the idea, but he went along with it.
It turned out looking great! Good enough that even he was mildly pleased with the result. The nail tech told us that this color was the most popular with men since they got the new display, and even a few women were trying to 'guy' colors. She even took a picture to add to their 'guy feet collection' on the wall.

Six days later and he's still wearing it! He says it is 'growing' on him now. I like the look on his toes and can't wait until the next trip to the salon - with hubby in tow!

I have found that BB Couture nail polish is about as close to an "all in one" polish that I have seen. It goes on like liquid butter and dries to a beautiful gloss. Of course, in order to help keep you nails from staining, and to get an even better finish, use a good basecoat - I like OPI Nal Envy.

I know this may seem a little strange to most people because men are not 'supposed' to wear nail polish. But, sometimes things happen that you don't expect and your mind gets changed.

That is how it happened with me. My wife was in a mischievous mood one night a few weeks ago and while she was painting her toenails, for some reason she decided that I should have mine painted too. I thought she was crazy, but she had already started on my second toenail by the time I could protest. I just decided to let her have her fun because I knew it would come off easily.

When she was done, we both just stood there and looked at our toes - twenty of them painted with a deep, rather attractive maroon polish. She was the first to speak, "not bad" she said, and I actually found myself agreeing with her!

I decided not to remove the polish right then and so my toes ended up staying maroon for the next week and a half. I was beginning to like it but it was starting to chip off in places, and so it was looking like it was time to take it off. I went to ask my wife where she kept her nail polish remover and it just so happened that she was already painting her toes again, and she offered to paint mine if I wanted her to. I saw she had a nice silver polish on this time, and so I decided that might look okay on my toes as well.

I have now been wearing the silver polish for a little less than a week, and I can already tell you that I think this is something that I am going to continue, mainly because I like the way it makes my feet look. And it helps that my wife likes it enough to paint them for me too!

I would not have thought that I would ever be a fan of this, but because it happened to me in this way, my mind was changed about it. I guess you just never know how you will feel about something until you actually try it.

I have neroaphy in my leg and cliping my toe nails can be hard for me if not impossible, I can not feel my foot very well so having a pedicure is the only way I can do this. At first I thought sence I had ticklish feet I thought it would be a problem but to my surpise and happiness I found this was not the case. Now I am not one for having posihed nails but it does feel so good to have them rubed cleaned and cut by someone else. If you are a male like myself and have never tried this before I recommend you get it at least one chance it is awesome

Being a typical woman, you would probably expect me to exclaim "ewwww...." when considering a guy wearing nail polish. Well, a few years ago that would have been true...but not anymore.

A few weeks ago, I was in a more prominent salon that I visit on a semi-regular basis having my nails done and I noticed a man in the chair across from me. He was rather good-looking and was receiving a spa pedicure because the tech was working quite a while on him. As my nail tech began polishing my nails, I glanced over and noticed that the tech that was working on his feet was applying a deep silver-gray polish on his toenails. At first I was surprised, but then as I looked at it more, I suddenly became aware that it did not look out of place at all - in fact it looked good on his feet! I began to wonder why I had never considered this before, than a guy could wear his toenails polished. This guy obviously was doing it tastefully with a masculine color, and it looked great.

My daughter brings our granddaughter (she's 8) over to visit me and her grandmother on a regular basis (they live close enough to do this easily). We really enjoy seeing both of them because they are always into something new and interesting.
Well, a few months ago, my grandaughter decided that she had to paint grandpa's toes silver. I don't know what promted her to want to do this, but I was a good sport and obliged. She did such a nice job that I didn't have the heart to remove the polish after she left, so I left it on my feet.
The next time she visted, she had to see if grandpa's toes needed a new coat of polish. It had been a few weeks, and so she proceeded to give me an "update" painting. And, as you can imagine, she likes to give me the treatment whenever she comes over now.
I am getting used to having my toes silver, and in fact, my wife's friends say that I have the nicest looking toes of any man they know.
