(I started this topic)

Has anyone tried this? The Monistat Chafing Relief Gel is supposedly a miracle primer for your face before applying foundation??

It has some primary ingredients that are very similar to Smashbox Photo Finish Primer, comparing them side-by-side. I'm actually planning on trying it next, because I've heard good things as well.

I've heard nothing but good things from those who have tried the Monistat. I will be trying it myself as soon as I can find it somewhere!

I have been using it for about a week and I love it. It seemed so weird at first to be putting Monistat on my face (and you should have seen my husband's expression when he asked what I needed that for), but it works great. I've never used a make-up primer before, so I don't have anything to compare it to though. I do have rather oily/acne prone skin and it hasn't made me break out, which was my biggest fear.

I have used the Monistat chafing relief gel for its original purpose, and I can definitley see why it would be good to use a primer. It has exactly the same cosistency, kind of a powdery, slippery gel. Maybe I'll try that next. Right now I am using Revlon Beyond Natural foundation primer. I like it. It's not too expensive either, about 10$.
