I used Wen for several months. I didn't want the Guthy Renker system where they sent it automatically (since they were sending me the styling creme and wax stick thing again- and the first one was going to last me a year-I just wanted the conditioner) I was tired of ordering every month so I got a 3 package from HSN for about $80 and it lasted me quite a while. Well, I was out again and not up for ordering online and spending $30+ dollars for the product so I started looking at alternate products.

I FOUND ONE! I completely recommend HAIR ONE which you can pick up at your local Sally Beauty Supply. The directions were very similar and a 12 oz bottle was only $12- less than half of Wen (not even counting shipping costs!) I took it home and was skeptical but when I read the user reviews on Sally's they were all five stars. I tried it and was hoping for a product comparable to Wen- I found a product SUPERIOR to WEN. My hair was even softer and shinier and very manageable. It felt like it cleansed a little better than Wen. I highly recommend skipping Wen and the hassle of dealing with the sharks at Guthy Renker (who contract you into ambiguous contracts about automatic billing and shipment and you can't get a refund because they "already shipped the product" and you have to wait 4-6 weeks for it to arrive and then send it back and wait another 4-6 for a refund- but I digress). You can pick it up when you need it, not pay for shipping, pay half the cost and get a great product.

oh no I just ordered through GR, should I try and cancel and just go to the local store and buy hair one? does this product still work for you and how long have you been using it? Is there a 800# I can call personally to get through to GR and cancel my order or have them not send anymore after this first order so they do not ship the next 3 month supply. thank you Robynn

I must said I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this product. I have heavy curly hair. It get really frizzy and unmanageable. I saw WEN infomercial and I said, what the heck? Let’s try it. I got it two weeks ago, the first time I used it, I felt I love, the first thing I love is the smell and the tingling sensation in my hair, I was worry because of my curls my hair get really tangles, sometimes my hair will break while I am untangling my hair. This time, the tangles in my hair came out every easy. I applied the Re Moist Intensive Hair Repair Mask overnight. The next morning, I wash my hair and really felt like silk. I let my hair air dry after styling and my curls look fantastic, my hair was not frizzy at all. Over the weekend I saw my hair dresser and I took my products with me and she style my hair like she always do. Usually, the next day or two days later my hair start curling up again. NOT THIS TIME! My hair still nice, shiny and straight. It even rain yesterday and my hair still looks straight and fabulous.

I understand that this product might not work on everybody but I am truly happy I works in my hair. My suggestion is try it see it does works as far as the customer service, the only thing that happen to my is that I got a double order and my credit card was charged twice. I called the customer service I got someone right way, I was given I returned #. I returned the box with the duplicate and about a week or so after I returned the product, I got a credit on my card. So I guess I am one of the lucky ones.

Tried it and did noting hair was no different then stuff from drug store. It is crap, dont wait your money. Funny how we get suckered into this stuff looking for that "mircle" hair or skin product. Me, well from now on I will save my money and stick with what I know works. I dont fall for any of these infomericals, QVC testimonals, etc.

RE: ALTERNATIVE TO WEN!!!!!! CHEAPER TOO!

I tried the Wen product via infomercial and started getting the Auto ship, sent them back and continued to get them. Finally called and they tried to give me 30% off the $89 plus shipping. BUT LADIES, I found another product that does the same THING at Sally's. Thank GOD! I love the non sulphate shampoo and did some research and learned that coconut oil is the core of of the lathering effect from the health food store guy. Now let me tell you about the Sallys Beauty product store item. It is only 10.99 if you don't have a Sallys card and 9.99 if you do. it is called HAIR ONE and comes in a 12 ounce bottle. I use the one for color treated hair which works like a charm. I tried the one for Normal Hair and I don't think it cleaned as well and left my hair a little oily feeling. Loving the fact I don't have to wash everyday and my hairstylist even commented on how much healthier my hair looked and felt. I don't know if Sally's is a national chain and even the store clerk didnt even know about it when I inquired about non-sulphate shampoo, I just happen to find it way back in the corner, its distributed by Fisk Industries. I just had to share this in these economic times I will take a #$10 bottle over a $28 bottle anytime! P.S. Look up the alternative words for the coconut based products, they lather they are sulphates. you can find some that are less abrasive than regular store brands.

We have well water that is always turning my color treated hair and ugly orange. This time after getting my hair colored I used Wen products. My hair color has stayed and my hair is much more softer! I will never go back to anything unless it stops working of course... (:

Tried the Cheaper Alternative!!!....

After seeing the infomercial for Wen I was really interested. But, I was concerned about the price and the idea of the GR auto-reorder merry-go-round. While researching the product online, I found the post on this site about Hair One sold at Sally Beauty Supply. I ran out the next day and bought it, on sale for $9.99 no less.....
Today was Day 1 of using the Hair One for Color Treated hair--Jojoba. I love it! My hair is much softer and not as dull looking. I have very fine hair so I was worried about it appearing greasy. It looks really good today and actually has quite a bit of body. I also have not had to deal with flyaways today like I normally do when I use certain volumizing products. We'll see how it does with repeated use. Normally I have to wash it every day because it is so fine, but I am hoping that I can start going to every other day using this product. It feels and smells so great! It gives your scalp a tingly feeling when you put it on.

My only other worry is that I am very allergic to plants and flowers (I take 3 allergy meds 365 days a year for allergies to plants, flowers and trees). I have had allergic reactions to products for my face that have contained plant extracts. I don't break out but they make my eyes water constantly. It doesn't always happen immediately but after a few days of use. So, I have my fingers crossed that I won't have an allergic reaction to this product!! It would make me so sad!! (Right up there with my frustration at having developed an allergy to self-tanning lotions :(.

I will post an update after using the Hair One repeatedly in a few weeks...
Thanks to those who posted about this great product!

glad to hear about Sally's cheaper version BEFORE I buy Wen. Just spent $70 on Kenra & Redken products!!?#@ My hair is colored & highlighted, wavy, frizzy, dry (due to chemicals), and as my 5yr old said, "Itchy". Also live in hot & humid climate (Gulf of Mexico coast). By the way, I've tried L'Oreal's sulfate-free. Not impressed at all. Still lathered up like regular shampoo, left my hair frizzy, nothing special. Anyone hear good things on Ojon? High dollar stuff!
