Why can't Sephora keep the "try me" products clean in their stores? It is the most annoying thing ever. Yes, I'd love to try that shade of Nars eyeshadow but I'm not sticking my finger in that mess where 50 other people have stuck theirs! If I was the head of one of the stores, I would make it mandatory that my staff keep every tester clean and presentable. Isn't this how they sell product? If I was a brand and had my products in their stores and saw how badly the testers looked, I'd have a big issue with them. Does this bug anyone else?

Some stores are better than others, I've noticed. The Sephora at Tyson's Corner always looks clean and well kept even though it's always packed when I'm in there. A couple of the stores in NYC were kind of scary, though.

I've never noticed a big problem with testers in Sephora, but then, I'd never place the products on my face either. :) It might be a location thing, because the Sephora stores here seem pretty clean.

Omgah yes I know! One time I was at the mall with my sister and grandma and she was afraid to go in there again after seeing the testers! She is totally anti-sephora and discourages us from going there whenever it comes up in conversation! I used to really like that place, but the testers are a bit dirty sometimes and the service at the store in my town absolutely SUCKS!

I don't think its just Sephora...I've been into the cosmetics company store near my house and their testers were nasty. It makes you scared to try out any products! It also didn't help that half the nail polishes and lip products were nearly entirely dried out.

The testers looked like they haven't had any upkeep. EEWWWWWWWWW

Yeah, I finally went by the local Ulta today. Its been there over a year and a half, so I don't know why I am just now making by there. But yeah I noticed how a lot of their testers looked gross.

i never try testers on my face, just the back of my hand but seriously, ULTA had better get THEIR act together too, because half the dang testers are empty or missing! What kind of crap is that! Is it that hard to write off A FEW products for the store and slap them up their for people to try out? Everytime i alerted someone that a tester was empty, they were like, "um... yeaaaaahhhhh, i really can't do anything about that..." And for all the testing that goes on, you'd think they could offer a makeup remover or at least a WATER BOTTLE near all the kleenex's. Obviously i try out a primer on my hand BEFORE testing 23895729203 shadows, and if it were to wipe right off, i'd not be buying it.

Yes! My local Sephora is the same! (Danbury, CT) Some of the tester products look so nasty, you don't even want to look at that product to buy, never mind test it! Yuck! Not everything in the store, but alot of the stuff. Even the body washes that people usually just smell!

At the new Sephora store by me is either out of a tester or the tester is nasty. Nothing is taken care of and most of the time the pencils are not sharpened.
