My hair is really kinky but not kinky enough to have a fro that stands up. I really want a short hair style but it all looks kind og goofy any ideas?

Sounds like you want to get your hair done by a stylist? Consider going to a male stylist that is familiar with thick, curly hair. Work with the natural layers for a curly bob style that works for YOU.

you could also do a few styles such as twists and twist out
braids and braids out

I would go to your stylist and get her to help shape a style that best suits you, and why not try a straight style, or even switch it from time to time? My girlfriend has super curly hair and she gets it bone straight with the Karmin Hair Straightener. You can get it here;

Is this your photo on avatar? You can some products which can get rid of you from this problem. Use conditioner to eliminate the curls.
