Most of these are pretty hideous, but I have to disagree on some of them. I like Joss Stone's hair, although maybe she should have just stuck with the red streak and gotten rid of the purple. And Mariah's hair isn't so bad either. It's a little big, but there's nothing wrong with curly hair.

I do hate most of these looks. I definitely don't like Mariah Carey's look. However, I think that Hilary Duff's hair looks good with the braids. Also, I think pink pulled off the mohawk pretty well.

Mariah's actually looks pretty good. Notice her chest looks normal back then! Pink doesn't look bad either. I think Scarlett must have been afraid to get rid of the length but notice how cute it would look with it cut off.

I didnt think your bad hairs were that bad actually...Scarlett looked super cute, and 80s curls were the trend...At least they all had healthy looking hair! Same with cornrows, none them let frizzy hair take over, and the punks totally fit the look. So come on now, is that really the best you could find?

Ok I think that Christina's stripe-y color was an icon and a symbol of her 'dirty' style, I like it because its unique, trendy but not everyone can do it. Pink mohawk is HER distinctive style! Even in a bride dress she will look cute! (obviously with an white orchid in her ear) and finally I LOVE Joss Stone's multicolor, maybe is better a combination of black and one color (pink, blue, purple) but still she look very young, funky and fun. I have black hair with a purple chunk, and every day I dye it I love it more!!! I think its ok to try new looks and color before you chose one, obviously trying not to damage it too much. Anyway, hair is died cells, you can always cut it and start over!!!

My hair looks like Sarah Jessica Parker's & Jennifer Gray's WITHOUT a perm. I LIKE curly hair! I'll bet SJP's hair is not a perm, but natural curl.

Why was Scarlett's hair called a "mullet"? I thought a mullet was when a GUY had short hair ALL OVER his head and then had a sad little tail of hair extending from the back only? (Remember in the late 80s when the high school guys actually started to PERM that sad tail as well!???) I think Scarlett actually looks cute in this style!

instead of busting on people who obviously have naturally curly hair by calling them PERMS, or discussing extremely niche-style performers like Gwen and Pink, this article would have been funnier if it HAD included things that WE ALL tried like the before-mentioned banana clips, and clips that used to only be used to temporarily hold hair while getting it cut in a salon that we all used in varying sizes..... what about SCRUNCHIES? and HEADBANDS? and supersized-hot rolled Texas hair with bangs sprayed into place 4 inches above the forehead? (I can say this because I had this hair IN Texas!) Remember ASYMMETRICAL haircuts? how about the "Flock of Seagulls" bangs? does anyone remember wearing WINGS?
