So many people think that one product will do all that for you. One of the first things to do is make sure your hair is moisturized. First of all, don't shampoo every day, once a week is plenty. Whenever you take a shower condition your hair though and apply a deep conditioner or mask once a week. Another thing most people don't know is that you need to apply the shampoo only to the scalp and conditioner is meant for the actual hear. Use a leave in conditioner afterwards also. My two personal favorites are either Catwalk's leave in conditioner (spendy - $12-$17) in the curls rock collection or luxtress from Nexxus ($10) kind of spendy but it lasts forever. Make sure to use something for frizz, either the dove or John Frieda work's best. To amplify your curls most people enjoy the catwalk curls rock collection of amplifier and curl booster (both slightly spendy). Another product I'd recommend is Nexxus Alluring Curls or gorgeous curls the trick to applying this gel (or any gel for that matter) is to apply the small amount to your whole head before turning your head over to scrunch it. DO NOT puddle it in your hand while you scrunch it, it will create a thick gooey mess of hair. If you have wavey hair look for a product that defines curls, boosts them and has a harder hold. If the hold isn't hard enough waves will begin to droop. Don't go for a thick gel either. You have to experiment for yourself though since everyone's hair is different, don't just go out and buy something because someone with slightly similar hair liked it. Another great product I can recommend is from Aussie Moist so it's not very expensive and it is a wavy mousse & leave-in conditioner in one which is amazing, it may not help tighten your curl very much though. I'd enjoy your wave though, wavey haired people have so many choices. Hope this helped =]

Oh, I forgot to recommend this product - Goldwell Dynamic Loop Curl Spray but if you use that it has very little moisurizing contents so couple with a leave-in-conditioner and you'll be good!
