I'm looking for a top-notch facial serum to wear under moisturizer, day and/or night. In my 30's and trying to prevent damage and brighten existing age spots. I'm especially looking for a serum that's moisturizing, contains Vitamin C and other antioxidants, and is not too pricey (not more than $60). What are your favorites, and why?

P.S. Just ordered Exuviance Vespera Bionic Serum to try... if anyone has used this, I'd love to hear opinions!

I love Caudalie's Moisturizing Concentrate! it is 39 bucks, smells amazing, and really helps moisturize and plump my skin. I use it at night before my night cream. It has a lot of natural ingredients, and adds much needed moisture back into my face. In case anyone doesn't know, serums are the only thing that can truly penetrate the skin. So get you some!

Thanks for the suggestions! I'll check those out. I had been wondering about the Topix serum actually...wondering if you can actually notice a change in the skin.

Scinceuticals C E Ferulic made my oily/dry, large pored, bumpy skin yucky skin look amazing. After i had been using it for a few weeks I looked at my face in the visor mirror in my car, with the 5:00pm sun shining right on it and went, OH, I look pretty good today! It really does trasform your skin. (it is expensive, but so worth it)

I love Paula's Choice 'Skin Recovery Super Antioxidant Concentrate Serum'. It contains vitamin C and retinol, along with vitamin E, green tea, and a wealth of other antioxidants. There's no color or fragrance added, so it's non-irritating for sensitive skin as well. I find it to be pretty darn inexpensive (about $23) for the quality and quantity of the product--I've had my tube for a couple of months, and I still have a ton left. It can even be used around the eyes! There are a couple of other varieties of this serum for different skin types as well.

My Favorite Serum is Perfective Ceuticals Divine Age Guardian Serum. It is more effective than Retin-A, but without the irritation. I first used it alone (no night cream on top) in the evening before going to bed . The next morning I could see and feel a marked increase in the suppleness of my skin. My face felt smoother, looked fresher and more radiant compared to my usually tired-looking morning skin. I've been using it for a month now, twice a day - during the day under my day cream and at night with nothing else. I highly recommend it for its firming and smoothing action.
