I went drugstore shopping yesterday and bought Neutrogena Healthy Skin Glow Sheer with SPF 30 to have on vacation. I got light to medium and it seems to be a good color match. I think the sheer foundations are a much easier match to your skin color.

I have tried a ton of foundations as well, but I always go back to Prescriptives! I love their Virtual Skin and Traceless (discontinued) I don't like a lot of converage, more just evening out my complexion, and a little bit of moisture. Plus, it matches amazing.

My HG foundation is Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk (LSF); I've worn it forever. Natural finish, easy to blend, and agree--I don't feel the need to use a primer, either. Second fave would be face atelier. What a pleasant surprise that turned out to be.

Estee Lauder recently came out with a new version of their Double Wear Foundation in a Light version. It's fabulous!! It stays all day but looks much more natural than the original Double Wear. This is Estee Lauders best selling foundation. Right now many department stores are sold out of many shades. It's selling like crazy. On the days I want to wear a powder foundation I either use Makeup Forevers Duo Matte Powder Foundation or Laura Geller's Balance and Brighten. The Mineral Foundation I love is Lumiere. BE is so tinny looking and it accentuates my pores and fine lines. There are much better mineral foundations available. Everyone makes one nowadays. I use many different types of foundation depending on how my skin is feeling at the time.

Juice Beauty Mineral Light foundation has rocked my world lately. It's a great, lightweight, sheer-ish tinted moisturizer, and it's gives my skin a nice dewy glow. I never realized how dry and dull my skin looked until I started using it, and so many people commented on how great my skin looked. I've heard mixed reviews (and scary stuff) about mineral makeup, but I'm still loving it.

I am in search of a great foundation. I know nothing is perfect, but there are several that do come close. If anyone has great suggestions, please do NOT hesitate to let me know. *hugs*

I know that companys like bare minerals and sheer cover expect you to buy 2 colors and blend them to get the perfect match but I found that to be a royal pain not to mention a waste of money. I also use Joppa and have been very pleased with the results. They have 4 different formulas (I love the simple radiance and morning dew lines) depending on your skin type and like 100 shades (I havn't counted but it's alot). You can also buy samples for $1.50/jar joppaminerals.com and those last like 2 weeks. If you want more opinions you can go to allure.com forums and read up on them, they are crazy for joppa over there. That's where I heard about them from but unfortuantly one of the members has hijacked the board selling her own bodycare and I really don't care to be a member anymore. Hopefully this forum will be better. Sorry to ramble but I just needed to get that off my chest.

Me too!! Since my last post I have tried Physicians Formula Talc Free Mineral Wear, Bare Escentuals, and Everyday Minerals. Now I am using Physicians Formula Organic Mineral Wear....I liked PF talc free but about half way thru it started to make me break out..I used the pressed powder cuz it is less messy...BE makes my face glimmery and I do not like that and they have limited colors...Everyday Minerals is really really cheap, have lots of colors, and samples for $5 but I tried the SemiMatte and it provided no coverage and the powder flies every where! I do like the PF Organic I am using but it seems to be drying out my skin, although my skin is clearing in my t-zone so I am going to try a different moisturizer....I think next I am going to try Joppa if I cannot get use to this...so let me know what you try and how you like it. I have normal/combo skin but very sensitive skin to foundations....
