It's so frustrating!

Recently, the message boards have become extremely crouded with totalbeauty "members" whose one and only goal is to try to sell people stuff-or offer people "free samples" (grrr). Is there anyhting anyone can do about this problem? It has seriously gotten out of hand. If you look at the "I'm off topic and I don't care section, you'll find that it has been completely taken over by advertising posts. It's really frustrating. If there's anything anyobe at TB can do that would be awesome!-Hannah

I noticed that too! It's annoying to say the least, especially when it appears muliple times, on MULTIPLE PAGES!

Grrrrrrr is right! Clean those up, please. And if possible, if there's a way to prevent it from happening again.

We get bombarded by enough advertisements in our culture, in all media forms. Even on this site, there's stuff flashing at me everywhere and ads trying to load. I ignore everything except the message boards and reviews on products I want to try.

I don't so much mind the ads that this site sponsors, even though they do seem to slow down loading time. Keeping Totalbeauty around costs money, after all. What I cannot tolerate is the blatant misuse of the message boards carried out by users whose sole purpose is to profit from free advertising space-in the form all out spam and gimmicky ads.

True, they do need sponsors. But it's "overkill" to me. ;)

We get bombarded by ads everywhere: On TV, radio, Internet, DVD's, bus stop benches, billboards (the flashing kind are especially annoying to me). Okay I'm off my soapbox now. :)

You're right...spamming these boards is like getting a lot of spam in your e-mail or a lot of telemarketing phone calls. Same concept. Too much advertising.
