(I started this topic)

Well, maybe 'curly' is something to far-fetched to aspire to, but I would love to have some waves happening.
I have naturally thick and straight Asian hair that absolutely refuses to hold a curl. Admittedly it's very manageable on a day-to-day basis (I can let it air dry and it's fine), but I can't seem to get it to curl without hot rollers and a ton of hairspray. A curling tong can make my hair kind of wavy, but even those drop within a couple of hours. Oh, and I have this horrible flat patch at the top of my head.
Can anyone help me get a tousled curly / wavy look? I do love my hair and try to keep it healthy, but a bit of variety and body in the right places would be very nice =]

I can totally relate to you on having a bit of variety and the bodacious wavy or curly hair look is totally in right now.

The secret according to Mark Garrison is the right hair care and styling products. Perhaps this article could help you: http://www.lhj.com/style/hair/styles/how-to-get-tousled-tresses/

Good luck!

I have hair just like yours and right after i get out of the shower i put mousse in it and scrunch it. But it in a bun for 5 min. If you shower at night you can keep it in the bun for the whole night but i prefer in 5 min.

Hope this helps!!

The Matrix Curl Life line works very well for my hair. I comb light conditioner in it in the shower, rinse, mousse/light spray gel it and scrunch, put it in a bun for about 10 minutes, release, and have soft pretty waves once dry. .. Sometimes, I blow dry my bangs bc they go a little crazy if I dont and hit the rest of my head for a few muinutes
