(I started this topic)

This may sound like a stupid question..but....I have fine but thick hair that I like to tease up at the crown and curl loosely (tousled) with a large barrel curling iron. It's halfway down my back.

I have been using Pantene texture and strong hold hairspray as it's one of the few that really holds the crown up all day after I tease it. I would like to be able to use a soft hold hairspray that many of you rave about (holds style all day without stickiness and crunchiness even in windy and humid weather, can run fingers/ brush through it without ruining the style) etc

My question is how do these hairsprays actually hold if they aren't sticky or stiff, and would they actually hold a hairstyle like mine especially at the crown??

Thank you for your advice :)

Hello! I've used different hairsprays, all I've liked and all can be purchased at the drugstore. One is Garnier Fructis Anti-Humidity Flexibel Control hairspray which I really like, it smells yummy too! Second one I've tried is Garnier Fructis Anti-Humidity Volumizing hairspray, again it's smells yummy and eventhough it's a "3" hold it really doesn't feel stiff nor sticky! The last one I've tried which I really like too is Aussie Mega Flexible hairspray. I have tried all and they're all really good. I tend to switch it up between these three not for any reason other than scent. Again, they all provide just enough hold without being sticky of super stiff. Hope this helps! Good luck!

I love David Babaii (sp?) hairsprays, soft, flexible and strong. You can get it for fairly cheap at Sally's beauty supply.

STARTING from the foundation .Shampoo with proper product for your hair type (color treated or volumizing ect. ) then apply a -root lifter in your problem areas .Because you have fine hair strands, you have thicker density ( more hair folices per square inch on your head )this will confuss your choice of products. Follow up with BACK-TO-BASICS firm hold aerisol spray, it is infused with sunflower and chamomile, so you have a great fragrance too. I recommend aerisol versis pumps because the product will dry faster on your hair ,this is what you need to hold that style all day. Yes , you can brush through the hair ,I promise it will not be sticky even when caught in the rain
