has anyone done mystic tan? I've done it 2 times in the last few years and have had good results - non-streaky.

You need to make sure you have exfoliated (although I've been kind of careless about it and been OK)- and if they offer clear or instant bronze tint, get the bronze tint so you can see if the solution is running or streaking anywhere. you can shower that tint off the next day (the tint isnt that great, but that part of it washes off) You also need to make sure you apply the barrier cream to fingers, palms, feet and stuff - don't be careless on this part! and those booties....don't wear them past the toe cleavage or you'll see a line.

The only thing I hate - is how COLD it is when it sprays you! And you want to inhale from being shocked - and you can't because the whole booth has this solution in the air! Those nose plugs don't help much. lol They need to add warmers to the solution containers!!!

I'm going tonight as a test run for a wedding I have in a few weeks - I want to see if it looks good with the dress I bought, of if I should go as my usual pale self. :o)

I've always wanted to try this! Being tan year-round is really "cool" around here (the midwest, which is kind of ridiculous), but I am severely sun-phobic (I'm an SPF 45+ daily kind of girl).

I have a question about mystic: do you have to bring your bathing suit? because I've always sort of just wanted to drop in...I don't know, I'm afraid to come out looking streaky and orange.

you should do it naked. no one is in there with you anyhow. if you wore a suit or something, it would end up stained. go bare. you won't be streaky if you follow all the directions! try it!!

I really need to try it soon. My mom suggested I do it for my wedding. I could just imagine the horror if it ended up turning out awful and I look like a streaky carrot in my pictures!

I'm going tomorrow to give it a try - I figure that I might as well do it now when I can cover up my arms and legs completely if I look orange or stripey.

I have done this several times, but for me I didn't really see a big change in my overall skin tone. My face though had this GREAT color that I wish i could look like all year round. I don't care for the actual machines those, they scare me for some reason...lol I guess standing there waiting for something cold to spray me just sorta scares me. Plus did you ever see that episode of Friends where Ross gets sprayed a million times on the same side...lol I could do something that stupid...lol

Two things:
First, it scares me too! I thought it was just me!! I'm not literally scared but I jump and I hate standing there waiting for it to spray you. The one I go to kind of gives you a count down but I still get scared. LOL

Second, I actually did the Ross thing!! I got confused as to when I was supposed to turn around and sprayed myself twice on one side. LOL It turned out to be not that big of a deal but I had to wait until the next people in line were done and then I sprayed the other side twice too. I wasn't even orange and I went to a wedding the next day and everyone said they couldn't even tell. I had a small streak on my knee but other than that, I was okay. My teeth weren't glowing though (like Ross)!! LOL
