A great face starts with great brushes...I mainly have MAC brushes- I used to buy a new one every week so it didn't seem like I was spending much on brushes. There are a few whose numbers hve worn off bc i've used them so much but the ones I love that still have numbers on them are: 150-big powder brush,129-smaller blush brush, 116- smaller blusg brush, 190-great for foundation but I never wear it, wtvr # their concealer brush is and their angled eyeliner/eyeshdow brush. I also have a few brushes from art stores which are great. I'd like toget a few Body and Soul brushes, does anyone have any from that line?

I will admit. This is the one area that I need to start spending more money on. I'm notorious for buying cheap brushes. I've found some that I like such as the Sonia Kashuk brushes at Target, but I really do need to start spending some money since I've essentially flushed money down the drain with some of the crap I've bought in the past.

I don't think you need to spend a lot on brushes, honestly. But, I do LOVE my MAC 187. I use it for everything - even liquid makeup. Its a multi-purpose brush to me, so if it's the only one I owned, I'd be OK.

I don't really have many brushes and the ones I do have are cheap. I do really like my Sephora eyeliner brush though and I recently ordered a brush from Avon to use with my mineral shadow from them, so we'll see.

I love my Sephora brushes, as well as my Too Faced Teddy Bear Hair ones. I have a lot of random brush sets, like my Lola ones or my MAC SE brushes as well. I love brush sets, especially the MAC SE ones because it shows me what I use most and gives me ideas for full sized brushes to invest it. I'm going to start buying the full sizes by getting a 187 when I buy my Heatherette stuff. The whole buying one a week thing is a great idea!

I'm just now getting started with brushes - last night I got Sephora's foundation brush. However, I'm having a little trouble using it to apply foundation... anyone got tips or help for me? lol, I feel like such a dork. I put a little foundation on my hand and tried to use the brush to apply, but it seemed kinda streaky and took some blending with my sponge to get it right.

Just bought Sonia Kashuk's Powder brush. I have never felt anything so soft on my face! It doesn't shed either. Good for those of us on a slight budget who needs a good brush! I also bought her concealer brush for my cream eyeshadows, and it works great too!

I like Sephora's brushes - they are great for those unique brushes that you don't really need, but want to play with anyway. I love my MAC foundation and powder brushes - they are a must have. And I have three Sonia Kashuks that I love. She had two lines of brushes, one that was a "premium" line, I guess, but I haven't seen them in my Target for ages.

Yeah when I checked last time, apparently the premium brushes have been discontinued. Which is disappointing. I bought the foundation brush for $15 and have loved it. I've noticed that if you go to different targets some of them still have different brushes. Hopefully since they've been discontinued they'll go on clearance.

I use MAC brushes for my eye makeup and am very happy with those. For my face, I like Bare Escentuals. The brushes are so soft and full! (They shed a bit at first, but it stops after a while.)
