(I started this topic)

What does everyone prefer? I used to wax my brows for the longest time and last yr I finally got them threaded. Hurt like hell but I loved how clean my brows looked! The shape was so well executed and it was so easy to maintain. I haven't had one since last yr and my shape still looks defined.

I am in LOVE with threading! Since I have such sensitive skin, I don't wax -- I'm afraid it would make me break out. But threading, while it does hurt a LOT, definitely makes my brows look amazing and I never have any sort of allergic reaction to it!

Great question. I also prefer threading as I heard that continual waxing will cause the skin to sag. I've been threaded so often that it doesn't hurt anymore but my eyes used to really tear up. Also, a friend taught me how to do it so I sometimes do it myself, although it seems much easier to do it on someone else. I also find it less expensive than waxing.

That's one beauty procedure I haven't had done -- threading. I was considering sugar waxing because it was supposed to be more gentle to sensitive skinned-women. I'm not sure I have enough brow to thread, but I sure have a lot of peach fuzz!

I've thought about trying threading, I just don't know of any places around here that does it. I also don't get mine waxed because most of the places around here end up removing way too much hair. I just do it with tweezers the old fashioned way. Luckily my pain tolerance is high so I can stand doing it.

Any recommendations on tweezing procedure or tweezers?

I usually use a nair wax strip to get rid of my "unibrow" area. I have some Revlon tweezers. I can't remember what they are called exactly, but they work great. They are black and have a very good tip. My mom tried to steal them when I moved out. But I just use those to go around my brows. I also have some brow grooming scissors because the hairs tend to grow long on me. I've always had really thick "Brook Shields" type eyebrows. I was so happy when fuller brows came back in style because I could never do the super thin brows that people were doing for awhile.

I prefer threading over waxing. It's great for those with acne too. Threading is more precise, cleaner and cheaper!

I can't wait to try threading :) It's true that people using Retin-A can do threading, right? I know that's an issue with waxing and sensitive skin - threading should be great for me!

I had such a bad experience with my last waxing anyway - my skin was raw, red and sensitive for weeks after. And it still looked odd for months! I haven't gone back since, lol!
