I wash my hair every day. Just because hate the way oily hair or hair with product feels. I let my hair air dry every day, so it's still pretty healthy.

You might want to try a dry shampoo, that helps cut the oil.

I wash my hair every other day. I can get away with not washing it for two days but three days or more it becomes obvious I need to wash it. I used to wash my hair every day but went to every other day after I started coloring my hair and wanted to prevent the color from fading too quickly.

i used to wash my hair every other day, but on the days i didnt wash it, it got so oily i couldnt STAND it. i couldn't go out without feeling completely self conscious of it. in fact, my hair looks oily at the end of the day even though i wash it everyday.
and on top of that my hair is SO thin and limp that i CANNOT put it up or tie it. it just falls out and it ONLY wants to part in the center, no matter how i try to tie it, the center part always shows through. so i absolutely MUST wash my hair every single day. no exceptions.

rite gurls heres some major tips...read and remember....i used to wash my hair everyday but now 3 times a week...firstly wen washing hair you mustnt put too much shampoo, take a teaspoon and dilute it in glass of water and use it...too much shampoo can damage hair...also on weekends try to towel dry your hair n if you blowdry it use cold and warm settings cold setting kips hair str8 n lasts longer...now 4 damaged hair after washing hair apply conditione more on the roots than sculp cos thats where its damaged....leave 4 15mins than rinse....a good tip is to wet hair use a comb an comb it back put shampoo and comb it into your hair,do the same with conditioner...dont colour your hair coz it damages it...heat damages hair alot...trim hair every month..as 4 oily scalp...make sure you massage shampoo in hair...try pantene shine...it helped me...if you got dandruff use head n shoulders or pantene....remember you hair nids to b kept clean al the time...gudluck ladies mwahxxx.

I use to wash my hair everyday since I have pretty oily hair. But after a while it started to dry out and now i only wash it every other day. My hair looks a lot healthier than before. I cannot go more than 2-3 days without washing my hair, it will look gross.

I have small hair hence I shampoo my hair every alternate day as I sweat too much and my hair gets sticky. As for applying powder to remove the stickiness of hair it actually works, though only for a little time for me, due to my excessive sweat.. :-)

I was washing my hair everyday...but I'm trying to grow it out so I'm trying to wash it every other day. However, I may just go back to washing it everyday. My scalp is pretty oily so by the end of the second day you can tell that it needs washed. It also doesn't have any body on the second day (and my hair is extremely thick). I've never really had any damage to my hair - I can go several months between trims and I'll ask the stylist if I have any damage or split ends and she always says no.

If you really can't stand not washing your hair everyday, I'd suggest using a gentle sulfate-free shampoo. It won't cleanse as harshly as a shampoo with sulfates - and all sulfates really do is cause lather. You don't need lather for your hair to be clean. If your hair squeaks, you know you washed it too much!

Also, eating a healthy diet and taking a vitamin/mineral supplement is a good idea for hair health. Check the label of your daily multi-vitamin to see if it has enough biotin - if not, you may need a separate biotin pill (they're cheap). Some people say that you don't need a biotin supplement but it really helped my hair - it makes it silkier and softer and I swear it seems to grow faster. The good thing about biotin is that if you have too much in your body, your body will flush out the excess in your urine. So if you accidentally take too much, you won't get sick or anything. It also makes your nails stronger too!

I used to wash my hair daily, I use shampoo and conditioner depending upon my work schedule. Its like if you are working hard and over sweated I will definitely wash my hair that day with shampoo followed by conditioner. if you are cool then you can take your hair wash the next day,
The important thing to notice is dont use hair dryer everyday! Hair dryer will make your hair dry and you are likely to get split ends resulting in hair cutting.
You can use hair gels and spray for maintaining the healthy look of your hair.

Add few drops of lemon juice in the water before you take bath, this will help in regaining the natural shine of the hair as well as helping from dandruff. Good for skin care too.

No, I don't wash with shampoo everyday or even once a week. I follow the Curly Girl method and don't use a sulphate shampoo at all. Not only does my color not fade but my hair is a lot healthier. I do co-wash (conditioner) daily tho.
The scalp does adapts after a few days.
