I liked the Life of Pi, too. How about the Tao of Pooh? I think it is just adorable.

The Tao of Pooh! I loove that book. I read it in high school and again over Christmas. It's very cute and such a great reminder to just simplify our lives. I have The Te of Piglet at home and have yet to read so maybe I'll start in that if I can ever tear myself away from the laptop!

I wonder why they keep losing directors, maybe it's a hard to find a way to translate what transpires on the boat in a way the producers want? I wonder if they gave Yann Martel and creative direction on it?

I do wonder how they are going to get the tiger to work on a boat.

Its a biography about a woman who fled her African Muslim nation to avoid undergoing female circumcision. She eventually winds up in the US, wanting to seek status as a refuge. She is imprisoned. The book is about her fight. It really is a powerful book. That sounds like a great book. Whenever I read books like this, my friends think I'm morbid or somethign but I find it fascinating and also important to realize how lucky we are that we were born in countries where woman have rights.

Eek, that last post I wrote sounded so preachy. Sorry, it wasn't meant to come across that way.
