Just wondering. I bought a lot of Dermalogica products last year and couldn't stand them. They even irritated my skin. So, for the price I found it's overrated. I know some people love this stuff so I hope this doesn't offend anyone.

As of late, I think that a lot of people think that La Mer is totally overrated. I kind of disagree - it really just depends on the product.

I recently tried La Mer's The Cleansing Foam and I actually really love it - definitely worth the hype for the brand. And I'd spend $65 for it again ;-)

Benefit is completely overrated. A lot of cheaper equivalents can be found elsewhere that work just as well, proving that all you pay for is the fancy packaging. The only one I haven't found an equivalent of is Lemon Aid...

Please don't shoot me, but Stila is overrated! I don't find most of the products to be terribly inspired...

I don't know, I bought the Brow Zings about a year ago. Despite the price, I still have a ton and they make my brows look perfect. However, the lady did try to sell me what was essentially a white eyeliner pencil to rub under my eyebrows to make me look more awake.

As far as overrated products...definately Maybelline Great Lash Mascara. How does it always get voted as the best mascara in Allure?

I agree with all of the posts! La Mer-got a sample a few yrs ago and would LOVE a whole jar of moisturizer. It's less expensive than I thought but I'd probably get obsessed and have to buy all their stuff.LOL! I also agree that Benefit can be overrated, I love their stuff for a few months and then get sick of it. I also found their packaging slightly annoying and impractical. As for Stila, I am loyal to their eye shadows and their illuminating concealer. I kind of like their lip glaze but I find that Stila is very pricey. I do however, love the texture and saturation of the eye shadow.

I totally agree about benefit. I also think, other than the foundation (which I love), bareEscentuals is way overrated. As are Smashbox and LORAC.

I feel the same way you do about La Mer. It is considered one of the overrated, overpriced brands, but I was lucky enough to try it for about a month and I thought it was fabulous. Maybe it's like wine: The higher price of the wine, the better it tastes according to a research study. Cheers!

The only fun about benefit are the whimsical names of the products. It just makes it fun to say and wear =D

Benefit definitely has fun with their products, maybe that's how they get away with charging so much for products that are so-so...and why I keep falling for it!
