Most Overrated Brand/Products?

I tried Proactiv because i had HORRIBLE acne, it did help me, but it smelled SO bad and left my skin kind of red, and then I seemed to build a tolerance to it! Plus, proactiv is so inconvenient to get a hold of. It is overrated. And I'm using Maybelline Great Lash right now...not impressed with it at all.

I politely disagree...I find that their bronzers are wonderful..as are their blush...the consistency of their products is great...not at all chalky like many of their competitors. Although they're pricey I do believe their products are a better buy than just about any because of their quality.

I guess that I would have to disagree, I LOVE Bare Escentuals, everything that they make is awesome, I'm so obsessed with it, that I think I'm gonna have to find a 12 step program. LOL But, I guess that everyone is diffrent, what works for one person doesn't work for another. One makeup that I feel is overrated is BeautiControl, it makes me break out something awful.

As for Stila, I am loyal to their eye shadows and their illuminating concealer. I kind of like their lip glaze but I find that Stila is very pricey. I do however, love the texture and saturation of the eye shadow. I hear you ...I got a sample about two years ago and now that is all I use...I have become obsessed...however, I do feel it does a great job for me and I see results...so I know...its a great product!!!

Great Lash is overrated! I don't get it. Could it just not work on me? nonsense! I just thought is gave me stubby lashes and at the end of the day (this was a long time ago), I couldn't get it off. not fun.

Every Maybelline mascara I've ever tried gave me a major case of raccoon eyes. I never understood the fuss over Great Lash. Also, I've never cared for Clinique products. I do like Estee Lauder but only get them from my grandma when she gets the "free with purchase" lipsticks and mascara (I have two tubes of Rosa Rosa lipstick because of that) since my budget is too tight for me to buy them. I mostly buy Cover Girl.

I agree with the Maybelline Great Lash comments. Soooo overrated! I don't understand it, it did nothing special to my eyelashes. Just made them clumpy and stubby looking. Also, agree with the Bare Escentuals comments. Basically I think all of the mineral makeup products are overrated. I've tried them. I see nothing special about them at all. Benefit products are ok, but overpriced. Really like Benetint though. I think the original is always the best and there are a lot of lip/cheek stains out there now, but Benetint is the original and still the best cheek stain out there to me. Just expensive. Stila is really overrated to me too. Tried a bunch of their eyeshadows about a year ago and was completely underwhelmed. Lastely, anything and everything by Clarins to me is way overrated. The products do not do ANYTHING they claim to. Especially the new Young Longer Balm. $98.00 worth of crap!
