JennBee wrote: Hmm, I agree about BE. My mother and I both tried it, and didn't care for anything except the mineral veil. Aside from being difficult to use, the results for us were an awful enlarged-pores, caked-on look. I completely agree. So many people seemed to love it, but when I tried it, I looked like a hot mess - huge pores, cakey, just awful. Definitely doesn't work for me.

Thanks for the info! I'll look into it and hopefully it'll solve the itchy problem! Lifeofaladybug wrote:
makeupjunkie13 wrote: I had that itchy/bumpy problem too with BE! Is it the SPF in it? Or is it the minerals? God, I wanted to tear my face off when I first tried it! I couldn't stop itching it! It's probably the bismuth. Lots of people have that reaction to it. You might want to do some research - I know there are mineral products out there without bismuth, so you may like those better.

I necessarily do not believe that any brand of cosmetics is overrated, I do, however; believe that actual cosmetic products can be overrated. These are the type that have been played out many times are done in different spectrums. Although, I love Lancome's Juicy Tubes, in general, I find them a bit overrated because there are multi cosmetic companies around the globe that have developed the same/similar kind of product. Look at Maybelline's Fruity Jelly, which is very similar to Lancome's Juicy Tubes. There are just so many products like that in the world today. As much as they are fun, universal, and eclectic, I think it's time to change something (or rather, change them "up" a bit) in order to increase their stand and stamp their mark in the beauty industry.

The Murad acne system is totally overrated...doesn't work at but I think most products designed for acne makes it worse...I'm better off sticking to cetaphil and oil-free stuff.

I have to agree with the above, Victoria Secret doesn't have some of the best products, I think they need to stick to panties and bras :-) YSL glosses, love the colors but I do not feel like you are getting the best bang for your buck. Typically I can find a similar gloss for a lot cheaper.

Oh yeah and the Kheils has got to be one of the best prodcuts made ever! I religiously buy the Creme De corps body lotion. The yellow one. They also have one that has an SPF in it, but I really like the regular one.

I think Bare Escentuals is OVERRATTED! I have been using it for almost a year and just recently decided to stop. My skin has never looked worse and is breaking out like crazy. Nothing else in my beauty regimen has changed, so I know my issue are linked to Bare Escentuals. I know it's "all natural" and they claim it's good for your skin, but I disagree. Does anyone have any recommendations for "gentle" (I have sensitive skin) make up that they have been happy with?
