Okay, I'm a makeup lover but I'm feeling the pinch with prices today like everyone else... I've been wanting to try e.l.f. products both because they've been advertised on big shows (like Oprah) and they've been featured in magazines... but also because they're cheap! Has anyone used e.l.f. products? Are they long-lasting? Do they measure up to the more expensive brands (i.e. Covergirl, L'Oreal, etc.)?

I recently ordered some products from elf and I thought they were OK. I had heard horror stories about people not getting their orders for 3 to 4 weeks, or getting incomplete orders, but that didn't happen with me. I ordered some of the mineral eyeshadows, eyeliner and some of their brushes. The mineral shadow is pretty on. It is pretty sheer, but I have layered it on for a more dramatic look. The brushes are GREAT! I ordered a kabuki, foundation brush, blush brush, eyeshadow brushes and a smudger. For $1 they are really good.

Last Christmas I recieved nearly everything e.l.f. makes, and most of it was WONDERFUL. The pencil eyeliners are total crap imo (they barely show up and what does show rubs off in minutes), but the liquid liners last AGES. The concealer that I recieved was extremely orangey (their palest shade). I loved everything that they make for lips.
