Just wondering if any one has any? A few years ago, I had short hair and went to London. Took my flat iron and bought a wattage converter. Worked fine for the first few days then on one of my last nights, my hair was a bit damp and as I was ironing my hair I noticed a bit of steam coming off it. I continued anyway. Well, to my horror, I had FRIED my hair. It was awful, it looked all singed, like when your hair gets too close to a flame- it was extremely noticeable. It may have been doe to the damp hair plus something going wrong with my converter but the guy I was staying with suggested I put a bag on my head, it was bad. When I got home, I went to my hair dresser for weekly cellophanes, which made it look a but less fried but it was still visibly charred. Since my hair was short, I had no choice but to wait til it grew out before I could cut it.

My worst hair disaster was when I bleached all of my very dark brown hair and dyed it purple. The purple wore off so quick and I ended up having purple/orange hair!

I could go on and on about this one...

1. Right before having my senior picture taken back in high school I was in dire need of a hair cut. My usual stylist is one of those people that you about needed to make an appointment a month in advance. So my mom called some place at the mall. The guy cutting my hair barely spoke English. I ended up with a hair cut that looked exactly like my haircut when I was 4! (short bob with straight across bangs)

2. I went through a phase where I loved red hair. I don't know how it happened, but I used one bottle and my hair turned out 5 different shades, ranging from black to strawberry blonde. Now I stick to letting a professional do it.

Oh no, all the hair disasters awful and at the time I know how frustrating they can be to deal with but they're so funny when you look back on them.
In high school, my friends and I didn't want to spend a lot of money to get our hair done for our formal in gr 10 (I don't know why as we spent good money or hair cuts and such) anyways, we went to a hair school and we all wound up with these awful, hair-sprayed-stiff updos that looked awful. When I met up with my boyfriend, complaining about how I was stuck with this mess for the whole night, he asked why I took a chance on someone I didn't know at the last minute on an important night. Good question!

Does anyone remember Sun-In from the 80's, or am I dating myself? Yeah, my worst hair disaster involved me, my dark brown hair and several bottles of Sun In. Pure orangeness, it was awful!

Oh, you are not dating yourself. I remember Sun-In.

My worst disaster was my first perm on virgin hair prior to a hysterectomy. I looked like a poodle on steroids. The perm didn't relax for eight months. I had a standing appointment with the salon for a blowout for eight months. I will never perm again. I look better as a Golden Retriever.

Sun In! I completely remember that stuff. Great for blondes but awful for everyone else. What was in that anyways? Lemon juice? Bleach? I can still remember it's scent!

Another hair disaster: walking to a posh salon with my friend when I was 15. We were lost and my friens. angry was trailing behind me. All of a sudden, a bird flies above and splat, craps on my head! All I could hear was my friend laughing behind me. We went to a pay phone where I called the salon, canceled my appointment and took a bus to the sea bus and then another bus home. A 45 min trip back home to was turd out of my hair bc I was too humiliated to walk into an upscale salon with bird excrement on my hair. To this day, I cover y head whenever birds fly above

I fried my hair once too...it was bad. My hairdryer broke in the morning before work so I tore through my closet to find my old hairdryer that was like 10 years old. When I used it it smelled like something was burning and I originally thought it was just the coils in the dryer since it hadn't been used in so long. Alas, it turned out to be the ends of my hair. It was a crappy dryer and I guess I put to too close to my hair. It was awful. I already had short hair so it took two haircuts to get rid of all the damage...I could have cut it all off in one shot, but I would have had a pixie cut, which I wasn't willing to do. Lesson learned - never use old hair equipment, even in a pinch!

Isn't fried hair the worst, especially if your hair is short to begin with!

My worst was having 4 different hair colors in 24 hours all due to my own stupidity.

I'd been coloring my hair blonde for 6 months (shouldn't have done it in the first place) and decided to go back to my natural shade without the help of a pro. Isn't that always when the problems occur?

I chose a box dye that was too dark, my hair grabbed all the color and turned a lifeless black.

I spent 8 hours at the salon the next day having the color stripped leaving my hair purple. After applying color I was finally at a reddish brown, close enough to my natural shade.

I didn't color my hair again for over 5 years.
