Okay, I have conducted an exhaustive search on serums. I want something that smooths, brightens and refines.

Here are my choices so far:

1. Olay Regenerist Rejuvinating Serum
2. Boots #7 Age Rewind Intensive Serum
3. Philosophy When Hope is not Enough Serum
4. Serious Skin Care RuLinea FX Serum

Are any of these good? Are pricier brands better than Olay, Boots, etc? Do I need retinol, vitamin C, what?

Hi Staci,

I think one of the best serums out there is Olay Regenerist Daily Regenerating Serum. It makes my pores smaller, moisturizes my skin, smooths out discoloration and leaves my face looking radiant. I haven't tried the other serums on your list.
