Maybelline New York Fit Me! Blush

2nd container thing of this color!

As the title says, this is my second container of this color since they renamed the color I used to buy, which is called Gentle Rose. I believe all the colors of blush and bronzer in the Fit Me! line are just old colors from their previous ExpertWear line, just renamed. I forget the name they changed Gentle Rose to, but whatever color name it has doesn't change how much I like this blush. It doesn't swatch as well as it wears on your skin. I would recommend trying it out with the brush it comes with, so as to not contaminate the product in the store and find a mirror and apply the blush with the brush. It really gives a gorgeous flush that's soft yet noticeable. Definitely try it out in the store if you're hesitating to buy it. It's great for school and work and everyday. I've already repurchased it and think I might again. :)

Revlon ColorStay Mineral Blush & ColorStay Mineral Bronzer

Not the best blush in the world, but...

I think this blush was a good buy, but the problem is that when I swatched it with my finger, I couldn't get any product off whatsoever, so I tried scrubbing harder with my finger until I took it off the product and got a nice, average-blush-color-result on my finger. This blush doesn't swatch well with your fingers, but when you actually go in with a blush brush and apply it to your cheeks, it gives the most divine color on your face. I bought the color Roseberry if anyone's wondering. :P I think Revlon did a pretty decent job with this, although it easily could have been a lot more pigmented and a brighter color. I tried to find the brightest, but most wearable for school and everyday, daytime wear, color and this just happened to be it. It's priced at a whopping $14, which is pretty outrageous for a drugstore blush, considering MAC blushes are just $19.50. Revlon might as well start selling this blush at Sephora because of the price. If this blush were at least $5 cheaper, I would buy it again.

  • Revlon ColorStay Makeup for Combination/Oily Skin

I do like this foundation a lot, don't take the title the wrong way. The colors are fantastic and mine matches me EXACTLY whilst balancing hereditary redness, it lasts forever, even in the humid Texas summer, and the finish wasn't too matte or too dewy. Personally, I prefer a dewier finish so that kind of turned me off to it at first, but I looked at all the pros about it like the coverage and decided a little setting spray could do the trick (which it does). The one thing about it that you really have to be careful with is accidentally dotting too much on your face so you look like you have a fuzzy mask on. All in all, this foundation was definitely a great buy and I would definitely buy it again.

  • Maybelline New York Dream Smooth Mousse

This foundation is AMAZING. I have oily skin and it doesn't wear off too much as long as you set it with some kind of powder all over. The color selection is great, although I felt that some of the colors looked a little too pink for my skintone (mine is more on the light but still olive-yellowy side) but I made it work by balancing it with a more yellow powder. It feels really soft on your skin and hydrating to the touch, which brings me to my next point. It's possibly one of the only foundations I've tried where I don't feel like whenever I touch my skin my 'face' is gonna come off. Overall, I really do enjoy this foundation and would most definitely repurchase it in a better shade for me.

    Great Coverage; Shimmer Somewhat Noticable

I enjoyed this foundation somewhat, since it looked like a pretty natural finish and had great coverage. However, when I looked up close in the mirror to fix any possible streaks (which, there were pretty much none), I noticed I had quite a bit of shimmer on my face, but as I backed up from the mirror little by little, the shimmer became less and less noticeable. I haven't actually worn it outside yet, so we'll see how that goes...Overall, I'm still on the fence if it's truly worth the $14-15 it's marketed for. I don't think I would repurchase this.
