  • Philosophy Amazing Grace Restorative Perfumed Hand Cream

I received a gift set from someone of the Amazing Grace series. Although I admire the gesture, I'm not a huge fan. Although this hand lotion is wonderful--so moisturizing and keeps my eczema at bay, I do not like the scent of it. That's just my personal taste though, others may feel differently! I prefer the regular Hands of Hope from Philosophy!

  • Bobbi Brown Hydrating Face Cream

I received a deluxe sample of this. When I first tried it, I thought I fell in love with it! It felt so creamy and hydrating to my face, not to mention that it absorbs like a dream. This can be used as a day or night cream (if using in the morning, remember to wear sunscreen!). Normally, whenever I moisturize in the morning, by the late afternoon my face begins to show some signs of drying and slight tightness. Using this, my face felt well hydrated all day long. Like I said I THOUGHT I fell in love with this, after a full day and night's use of this product, I started breaking out. Normally I do not break out after using a moisturizer, but I noticed a bit of a flare of mild bumps all over my face. This really frustrates me because I was so impressed with this product initially. Thank goodness it was only a deluxe sample, because had I bought it, I would have had to return it. This might be great for people with dryer skin and not acne prone, but I would definitely ask for a sample to try before you buy!

  • Clarisonic Brush Head

The deep cleansing pore brush is my favorite! It cleans everything out so well that over time I have noticed a significant reduction in the size of my massive pores. I also have noticed fewer breakouts. This brush is effective, yet it is gentle on my skin. Love it!

  • Korres Natural Products Watermelon Lightweight Tinted Moisturizer SPF 30

Although I was eager to try Korres for its natural makeup and skin care, I was not impressed with this tinted moisturizer. First off, it made my skin feel greasy and heavy, even when I set it with translucent powder. I have combination skin so this might be why. I agree with other users--if you have predominately dry skin, this might be useful for you, but I had to return this.

  • Clarisonic Mia Sonic Skin Cleansing System

I know many women who owned Clarisonics and I was always slightly jealous. Yeah, for many people, $119 for a Mia system might be a little too much, so it's essential to save up if you're a little tight on cash like me. To my fortune, Clarisonic released a Mia system in time for the holidays which contained an ADDITIONAL deep pore cleaning brush and a 2 oz bottle of the Purity cleanser by Philosophy (which happens to be one of my favorite cleansers EVER). Prior to purchasing this system, I would use those cheap $5 face brushes to manually scrub my face which wasn't nearly as effective as cleaning (but I was on a budget). First off after opening the package--charge the battery. The clarisonic system has a rechargeable battery that you clip on a magnet that is plugged in. Allow the battery to charge fully before disconnecting it. A fully charged battery will allow about 20 uses before it needs to be recharged. Do not try to charge it every night--this kills the battery faster and you must know that Clarisonic rechargeable batteries are not covered under warranty and are quite expensive to replace. I like to apply a foamy cleanser on my face immediately prior to starting the Clarisonic device. They recommend 10 seconds on each cheek, 20 seconds on the chin and forehead. The Clarisonic will instantly shut off after a minute. You ought to know that the outer ring will not spin--although it vibrates from the mechanism, it will not spin because this is to keep your skin in place and allow the inner spinning ring to better cleanse your face in a concentrated spot. The brush can be used up to four months before being replaced, but I recommend replacing it as often as your toothbrush--every 2-3 months. Even though the Clarisonic is waterproof, make sure when you are finished to lie it on its side to dry so the water doesn't submerge. Here's a COOL tip--obviously you can remove the brush, but you can pop out the inner ring and pop that back into the Clarisonic. This will allow you to clean the area around your eyes, nose and cupid's bow area more easily and comfortably. For those who begin to use the Clarisonic, you may experience an initial acne outbreak because the Clarisonic is bringing dirt, oil and bacteria up to the surface that was buried deep in your pores. After continued use, this will go away and you will be left with much smoother and cleaner skin. What I love about using the Clarisonic is that it makes my skin softer and brighter. Using a Clarisonic will make your cleanser up to 6x more effective and any treatments or serums you use will penetrate up to 60% deeper so expect to see better results when you use a Clarisonic! The only difference between the larger system and the Mia system is that the larger system has an additional speed. To some people that might be useful, but to most people, one speed is more than adequate enough. The Mia is perfect for travel too!

  • Make Up For Ever Grease Paint Case

It's 95 dollars and that usually turns people away IMMEDIATELY. But if you work in make up often, this palette is one of my go-to's because it has EVERY color you will need and you can mix them to create new colors. I know that this has the superior long wear ability that I expect from Make Up For Ever, so if you apply makeup often, this is a great palette to have. Be warned that there are colors that you CANNOT use on your eyes (the pink/red/orange) and there are colors you CANNOT use on your lips (the darkest). Since this is very creamy and pigmented, a little goes a LONG way! I use it all the time and I've barely made a dent in it! I HIGHLY recommend using a translucent or eyeshadow powder to set this or else it will crease very fast.

  • DDF Ultra-Lite Oil-Free Moisturizing Dew
    8.0

    DDF Ultra-Lite Oil-Free Moisturizing Dew

    Great, lightweight moisturizer

I received a 1 oz deluxe sample of this from Sephora (I LOVE large skin care samples, they last a long time and are a large portion compared to their full-sized product!) This is a very lightweight moisturizer, which is perfect in the summer time or for people who don't like to feel like their wearing heavy creams or products. You only need a little bit of this (be aware of the pressure you apply on the pump in order to maximize use of your product!) and I like to spread this all over my face and neck. This really does glide over your skin and absorbs almost immediately. I recommend this for oily skin because it's ultra lightweight without adding too much that can clog the pores or produce more oil. I do have to agree with some people and say that this is not recommended for people with drier skin. What I mean when I say this, is because whenever I put this on, it feels like I need to put more on my face because it doesn't feel adequate enough and your skin may feel a little tight. However, rest assure that a pump is enough to moisturize your face and it does hydrate adequately. Perform a hydration test after putting this on, but taking two fingers and running it on your cheeks back towards your ear. If you notice a change in texture (fine lines appearing as your move your fingers), then your face is not receiving adequate hydration. I did this test on my face after applying and rest assured, my skin was receiving adequate moisture because I did not see a change in texture and my skin felt plump. I do recommend using a night cream before your go to bed (as always), that way you supplement with additional hydration. So far I have not had any problems with breaking out or irritation, so I would recommend this to people with sensitive or acne-prone skin.

  • Boscia Enlivening Amino-AG Eye Treatment

Eye cream, along with moisturizing your face, are the most important steps of a makeup regimen. You MUST wear eye cream, especially if you wear eyeshadow or other eye make up; if you don't, then the pigment in the makeup will cause the already delicate skin around your eye area to dry and that causes fine lines. What I love about the Boscia line is that they are free of harsh chemicals (like parabens, sulfates, pthalates, etc), synthetic dyes and fragrances, and other things. This one of the most natural products you'll be able to easily find. You only need a TINY bit of this stuff around your eye area (patting along the under eye and orbital bone area above your cheekbone). However, since this stuff does not contain a lot of the harsh chemicals found in most eye creams, it is one of the few safe creams that you can use on the top of your eye lid. Most people don't realize that they shouldn't use most eye creams on their eye lids because that can really irritate the eye. My eyes feel refreshed and hydrated. I can see a little bit of firming. As far as under eye circles, I cannot say that much because I have not seen much of a difference. However, I'm not expecting a miracle for my circles; many people do not also realize that their circles may be GENETIC and will not be drastically altered with using creams and serums--cosmetic procedures may be a better alternative. As far as it goes for a hydrating and light eye cream, I really like this. It's only $38 which is much cheaper than most eye creams, but this is one of the few that is suitable for sensitive and delicate skin. Don't expect this to treat deeper wrinkles and crow's feet either; this is primarily for hydrating and plumping fine lines. I'm not a big fan of the packaging because I'm one of those people who prefer the jars so I can get every little drop out of it. Also, be aware of how much pressure you put on the pump because you only need a little, so make sure you don't waste any of this. Like I said, if you don't wear eye cream, you should (every girl in their 20's should start wearing an eye cream; something only hydrating, you don't have to worry about retinol unless you have far deeper wrinkles or skin conditions). I promise you will notice a HUGE difference in how well your eye makeup goes on much better!

  • Make Up For Ever HD Foundation Invisible Cover Foundation

I sell MUFE products and I love how I can always stand behind the products I love and convince others to fall in love with them too. This foundation looks more natural than any liquid foundation I've ever used (and I've used them all). It has ultra pigmented coverage so most times I don't have to worry about concealing. With ever person I've ever matched a shade too, EVERY shade has matched someone perfectly---there is never any need for mixing colors and there's something for everyone. This seems like a pricey investment for foundation, but as long as you use a foundation brush for even coverage -- which also uses the least amount of product than sponges or fingers, this bottle should last you at least 4-6 months depending on how frequently you use it. This is a light-weight foundation which feels comfortable and like a second skin and it engages soft-focus technology which blurs fine lines and evens your skin tone perfectly. This foundation is photo ready as well, so never feel afraid to have your picture taken--you will never look ashy or overexposed--always perfect!! I'm not just saying these things because I sell MUFE products, I USE these products myself and this is my honest review of the products I've fallen in love with using.

  • Bath & Body Works Signature Collection Eau de Toilette White Cherry Blossom

I'm a big fan of the white cherry blossom series because they aren't as strong as the original cherry blossom or the japanese blossom. It's a very fresh floral scent that's soft, feminine, and makes me feel pretty.
