  • Dr. Lewinn by Kinerase Instant Perfecting BB Cream SPF 15

I have mixed feelings about this BB cream. It does feel good on skin, and seems to even out minor imperfections, but the color is quite dark and orangey, so looks very unnatural on lighter skin tone. I would probably like it much more if there was some selection of shades, or if this product was lighter. I can't really use it unless I get some tan on my face, which really isn't my goal. The package is nice. Fairly large tube, so you get a good amount of product. It is good for medium- dark skintones, but ladies with pale skin should stay away.

  • NYX Cosmetics NYX Lip Gloss with Mega Shine

This gloss is alright, but I have mixed feelings about it. I got 2 colors - Nude Peach and Beige. I like Beige a lot- nice shade, goes on smooth, not sticky, has nice finish. Nude Peach on the other hand is pretty terrible. It goes on in clumps, the color is uneven, and is overall blah, not even shiny. The package is not too great, the gloss keeps getting out of the tube, and onto everything. Will not repurchase, since I don't want to get another clumpy gloss.

  • Revlon Nearly Naked Makeup

I like most Revlon foundations, and this one is no exception! I love, love, love it! It has nice selection of colors, including shades with yellow undertones (like vanilla). The foundation is very light, and feels great on skin, and even at the end of the day I don't get a feeling like my face has suffocated. It goes on very smooth, and has very natural dewy finish that makes face look really fresh and well rested. Despite of being light, the foundation does a great job covering flaws and imperfections, and it is also buildable, so if you want more coverage, you can layer it gradually, and it still looks good. The only thing I didn't like about it much is the packaging- it's just a glass bottle with no pump, so I just pour some on the back of my hand and then apply it either with a brush or just with my fingers. And no primer needed- works ideally on clean, moisturized skin. I highly recommend this foundation, it is absolutely perfect, and is very affordable. It is really great on dry skin, since it doesn't accentuate dry patches, but I'm sure it is good on oily skin as will with a bit of powder. Will undoubtedly repurchase this one, I'm soooo in love!

    E.L.F. Bronzer

    Nice bronzer

This is a good bronzer for summer, when you want to add a bit of extra glow to the skin. There is a nice selection of colors. And I love the packaging- a very sturdy, sleek compact with a nice big mirror, which you rarely get at that price point. I'm taking a couple of stars off for 2 reasons. First, the pigmentation is not impressive, I can barely see any color on my skin when I use it, and that's a very common minus of cheaper makeup. Second, it is shimmery, so doesn't always look so good- acceptable for summer and tan skin, but not so great for winter or if you want to contour your face. Good product for the price, but not for everyone.

  • E.L.F. Studio Complexion Brush

It is a great brush for a very low price. It is fairly large, and the bristles are rather dense, and are soft for a non-natural-bristle brush. I like that the brush also looks and feels nice, not like a $3 brush. I've had it for over a year, and use it regularly for plain powder or HD powder. I've been washing it pretty much every week too, and it holds up perfectly- no shedding, doesn't lose shape. Very happy with the brush, and recommend it to those who don't want to spend much on a brush, but want a good quality product!

  • E.L.F. Studio Small Angled Brush

This is a very nice brush, I use it for gel eyeliner, and applying eyeliner hasn't been easier! It is also great for applying brow-shadow, really helps to fill in the gaps while leaving brows look very natural. The brush is easy to wash, is made well, and keeps it's shape. The bristles are firm, but not at all scratchy. Fantastic product for the price.

  • Secret Outlast Clear Gel

    Secret Outlast Clear Gel

Great deodorant for those who wear black a lot!

I have never used gel deodorants before, so I was very eager to test this one. I've been using it every day for about a week now, and am happy with the results. It survives through the day without any issues like body odor or marks on clothes, both on cooler and extremely hot busy days. I have it in "protecting powder" scent, and would probably get unscented next time, because this particular smell gets a bit overwhelming, and not necessarily goes with my perfume. The reason I'm giving this deodorant 8 out of 10 stars is the packaging, which needs to be worked on. It looks nice, and the product is easy to apply, but there is a big but: when the deodorant sits on the counter or (got forbid) you take it someplace with you, it starts "escaping" the tube, so when I open it, there is a lot of deodorant pushed out already. That product would NOT travel well by air, would go all over the place with pressure. It is a good product, and I see myself buying it, especially for those days when I wear black, but for travel purposes, I'll definitely stick to secret clinical strength.

  • Revlon ColorStay Makeup for Normal/Dry Skin

Revlon Colorstay foundation is a lifesaver for me, the best makeup I've tried, and I've tried many. I have dry skin that flakes here and there, and all other makeup products, with or without primer, make them very obvious. Colorstay goes on smoothly (no flakes!!!), covers imperfections well, I don't even use primer, concealer, and even powder anymore. The coverage is great, and the product is very buildable- it's easy to hide dark circles, blemishes, etc. The finish is smooth and a little dewy, just perfect! It really lasts all day, even if you skip primer and powder, I put it on in the morning and never worry about it wearing off or melting on my face. There's a very good selection of colors, I just wish there were testers of some sort, cause it might be difficult to pick the right shade in the fluorescent light in stores. One small minus is that this makeup is not so easy to remove, and I have a hard time washing it off the makeup brush, so I just use my fingers :)). But that's a small price to pay for flawless look that lasts literally all day no matter what you do. Also, I wish the package had a pump, it would be much convenient, and more hygienic. Hope Revlon will fix that. I can't recommend this product enough! It's simply amazing! And is also quite affordable.

  • Revlon Top Speed Fast Dry Nail Enamel

I really wanted to like this nail polish, because the colors offered are very pretty (Jelly and Fire are to die for!), and it does dry fast. But there's a big but- it just doesn't last well no matter what I do. Maybe metallic/glittery ones are better, but there's no way to make the enamels to stay perfect over 2 days. Despite rubberized base coat, sealing the edges with base, nail polish and top coat, it still wears off and eventually starts chipping too. I will probably still buy this polish if it's on some crazy good sale, and I like the color. At least it dries fast enough to redo manicure more often.

    Revlon Nail Enamel

    Okay nail polish

This is a pretty good nail polish. I have one of their "metallic" series polish- gold coin. It's a very pretty color, especially for summer. It dries relatively fast, and doesn't chip or peel. However, that doesn't so much apply to enamels- pretty colors, but really bad staying ability. Wears off and stars peeling regardless of base coats or top coats. Mostly ok for pedicure, stays better on toes.
