  • Palmers Cocoa Butter Formula Dark Chcoolate & Cherry Lip Butter

After running out of my first tube and not being able to find another one, I was quite bummed. Although I have found a new favorite lip balm, this is also still one of my favorites. What I love about this is the fact that it has pure cocoa butter and vitamin E providing that rich moisture that you really need to soothe dry and chapped lips. I also love the smell of the dark chocolate and cherry! It's a wonderful lip butter that works great!!!

  • EOS Smooth Sphere Lip Balm

For years I've been trying to find the perfect lip balm that would make my lips feel hydrated and smooth. After running out of one of my previous staple lip balms by Palmer, I was sad to see the drug stores no longer carrying them, however in an instant I noticed this one in its unique packaging. At first I was a bit skeptical, but once I read it was Organic and contained Jojoba Oil and Shea butter, I just took a leap of faith and went with it. I'd have to say, I'm pretty happy I did! I first purchased the Mint flavor and have been using it for two months now. I'm really satisfied with how it makes my lips feel and I even purchased the Summer Fruit one which I have yet to open since I'm still not quite done with the Mint. Then today, I was happy to see the store carrying the HoneyDew Honeysuckle flavor so I purchased that one as well to add to my collection! That's how much I love this product! The smells are so refreshingly yummy! This is definitely my new love!

  • Neutrogena Oil-Free Moisture for Sensitive Skin

After getting off of a plane and not being able to bring along my "go to" moisturizer, I was left pondering through the drug store looking for something similar on a budget since I was only going to be at my destination for a week. Having found this product for sensitive skin, I took a leap of faith as I did not do much research before purchasing due to lack of time. After trying this out before bed, I was very relieved that it felt super smooth and didn't irritate my skin. It wasn't greasy and it even absorbed quickly into my skin. I liked the fact that it worked well under my makeup and didn't cake it up at all. I was pretty happy with this purchase and I'm really glad I took that leap of faith with this one. This is now my new back up go to product!

  • Pond's Dry Skin Cream

    Pond's Dry Skin Cream

    Not My Fave

I really wanted to like this product after a girlfriend of mine recommended her "go to" moisturizer to me. She swore by this and I decided to give it a whirl seeing that it was a steal. For my senstive/dry-oily combination skin, it worked well for a week, however as the weeks progressed, I started to break out more and more. This cream made my face itch a lot so I pretty much stopped afterwards. Once I stopped and started using Aveeno instead, there was a huge difference so I knew right away it was this cream that was the culprit. The smell of this cream was really nice, but it was unfortunate it didn't work well with my skin...

  • Garnier Skin Renew Anti-Dark-Circle Eye Roller

It's funny how this product states that it "instantly corrects the appearance of dark circles" when really all it is is just a liquid concealer in a tube. After using this product for over two weeks, it really hasn't "corrected" any dark circle appearances under my eyes. If anything, I have used it more as a concealer than a "treatment". The roller ball does feel nice as it glides along smoothly, but that's about it. I still use liquid foundation on top of it since it doesn't do much for me. I fell into the gimmick and honestly, it's just a "liquid concealer" in a slimmer tube with a "cool" roller ball to make you feel like it's a miracle in a bottle, but really...It's not. This thing does nothing that a regular concealer can't do.

  • Laura Mercier Undercover Pot

    Laura Mercier Undercover Pot

    Too Dry For My Taste

This product was included in my free Laura Mercier gift bag from Nordstrom. After opening the product, I wasn't too happy that the actual cream concealer had left globs on the mirror and along the opening. Once I dipped my brush into the concealer and applied it onto my face, it felt thick and was a bit difficult to even out. It was pretty dry for my liking. I was pretty surprised that it wasn't as easy as I expected coming from a high end brand. This product made the lines more visible and was a bit too chalky and cake like for me. The color didn't seem to match my skin tone either so I was a bit disappointed to know that I have this product sitting around for nothing. What a waste, but luckily I got it for free.

  • Garnier Moisture Rescue Lightweight UV-Lotion SPF 15

I've always had trouble trying to find the right moisturizer that would not harm my sensitive skin especially during the harsh winter months. I found this to be quite relieving to my dry skin during those times as it did not make my skin feel oily or itchy. Its scent has a smell that is almost reminiscent of vitamins and some sort of fruit which many seem to like, however to me it smells a bit weird since I can't really pin point what exactly it smells like. I like the fact that it has SPF 15 in it as the overall smell masks the actual sunscreen smell of it all. Also, it glides on pretty smooth and doesn't feel heavy at all. The only thing is that if I use it during the summer when it gets super hot and humid where I currently live, it does make my skin feel a little itchy and a bit more red than usual. This is a good simple moisturizer for the winter months rather than the summer.

  • Olay Pore Minimizing Cleanser + Scrub
    6.0

Olay Pore Minimizing Cleanser + Scrub

Not Bad For What It Is

I've known Olay to be a pretty reliable brand as it has been used in my family for years. Having seen this product picked up by a few shoppers within five-ten minutes a part, I did a quick read and decided to pick one up for myself. The exterior tubing of the product resembles that of an "Aquafresh" toothpaste pump. The application itself when pumped into the palm of your hand is more of a light blue color with the microbeads all around. When you apply it onto your face, it does glide on smoothly and you do feel the scrub as you rub in gently onto your face. After the wash itself, it made my face feel pretty soft and after a week, I did notice that my pores were minimized along my t-zone. Once my face was dry, I noticed that some parts of my face still had a few dry patches which I thought this cleanser would smooth out a bit. Also, after a week of using this product, I did break out and I haven't broken out in months! I still have a lot left of this product, however it's not bad for what it is as it exfoliates and cleanses deeply to minimize pores.

  • Maybelline New York Line Stiletto Ultimate Precision Liquid Eyeliner

I purchased this after having used the Revlon ColorStay and Maybelline Unstoppable eyeliners. Having grown tired of those eyeliners always wearing off halfway through my day, I decided to make the switch. I bought this liquid eyeliner on a whim and I'm actually glad I chose this one out of all the other ones! First of all, I love the felt tip as it allows me to draw a precise line whether that'd be thick or thin. It's not stiff at all as the tip is quite soft. The handle is easy to grip and it's overall casing is not bulky. Its coat is more on the shiny/glossy side, however that might be a con for those who tend to have oily eyelids. My eyelids tend to get oily, but luckily the application hasn't subsided yet after wearing it for a whole day. You may have to reapply while you are applying it as I find myself at times drawing along my lid then having to dip for more liner. It's not much of a problem for me as I've become use to this already. It does dry quickly and the color comes out pretty bold. So far so good with this mascara as it has become my go to for quick and easy application.

  • Maybelline New York Volum' Express Falsies Flared Washable

After purchasing this item and trying it out for a week, it seemed to be living up to its name, however a couple weeks later and however many applications later, I was let down. This mascara was not what I had expected as I was hoping it would last longer. After applying it on my lashes, it turned out to be clumpy, heavy and sticky. I wasn't too happy that it made my lashes look uneven. Don't get me wrong, it does volumize and lengthen, but it'll eventually become a bit thick if you don't use it often.
