Disney Takes Down Their "Sexy" Version of the "Brave" Princess

So I bought this nail polish from Target for only $1 and it's a good deal for it's quality. i love love love the color, it's so fun and pretty. Butttt it starting chipping 4 hours later! I wasn't doing anything extreme, just hanging out with my friends and they chipped! I gave it its time to dry too so idky it chipped. But since i loved the color and how cheap it was i have to say it wasn't a complete waste of money. I definitely recommend this to people who love bright colors and change it up often, not to people who want long lasting results. And until i find a not expensive brand of nail polish that have bright colors and last long, i will keep buying NYC nail polish. Sheer, pearlescent, glittery pink! So girly, so pretty! Very even colour even with the first coat. But I find the best way to wear it is to double coat it and then use the NYC Extra Shiny Top Coat. My choice of pink when I do a French. Will repurchase. Excellent value. Dirt cheap. I usually don't like glittery nail polishes but I tested it on my nail while in the store and it went on smoothly. There were no streaks. One coat was all it took and the glittery effect is subtle...which I like. Nails look healthy. Can't beat the price.

As a general rule, I hate kohl-type eyeliners. I find them too waxy or hard, and the color is never true on me. I picked up this NYC Waterproof Eyeliner by accident, thinking I was buying an automatic eyeliner, and had I not been down to a nubbin on Prestige automatic liner, I would have taken this back to Rite Aid toute de suite. I'm glad I gave this a try! The pencil I tried was black, and the black is a basic, true black that does not look grayish on me. The formula is even softer than the automatic pencils I'm accustomed to, yet it can create a fine, delicate line. What's more, I can actually pencil in between my lashes and on my waterline with this, something I have never been able to do with ANY eye pencil. I took off one lippie because the color does seem to fade, but only after six hours or more. For the price and the ease of application, that's something I'm willing to live with - after all, I can reapply! I have used this in black everyday for yeeears, just because it's super cheap and gets the job done. But now that I have the funds to go for more expensive brands, I don't think I'll ever be coming back to it because I HATE how the color starts to fade after about four hours. I have super oily lids and watery waterlines, so I always have to put powder on underneath. It is very soft and gentle, and actually quite waterproof too. I have cried in this, swum in this, been rained on in this, and it holds up reasonably well, especially for the price. I just can't stand how it turns grayish after just a few hours. But like I said, this has been my go-to eyeliner for several years, and if I repurchased that many times then it's still got to be decent. And my skin is also really uncooperative, so I'm sure it will be fine for most of you. I own two eyeliners: an Urban Dacay 24/7 pencil liner in bourbon--a beautiful shade of brown with lots of gold and silver shimmery glitters and this one. I really don't need/want any other eyeliners than these and I really really like this one b/c it's DARK brown, almost black, and it does not smudge as easily as 24/7. (and I dont have oily eyelids!) (this one is shimmery too but you cant really tell.) It only costed me $4 and I dont think I'll be purchasing a Sephora brand eyeliner any more! AMAZING QUALITY!

I was looking for a cheap true red lipstick just to try with my skin tone. I've never worn any bright red lipstick before and wanted to for an upcoming wedding I'm attending. I knew I wanted to buy it in a long-lasting formulation (CG outlast, Revlon colorstay, Maybelline superstay, etc.), but didn't want to fork over $10+ unless I knew it would look good on me. So when I came across NY Color's Retro Red for $0.99 (not sure why everyone else here is paying $2.29?), I decided to buy it. Wow! These are the creamiest, longest lasting lipsticks ever (aside from the 16-24 hr ones I mentioned above). I bought this tube just to try a few times and then toss. But after realizing the amazing quality, I'm definitely keeping it and buying more! To be honest, I've never been a big fan of NYC. It just always looked cheap and low quality (even though I LOVE Wet n Wild stuff). After getting the blush sticks and now this lipstick, I'm starting to realize I shouldn't judge a brand by its prices or packaging. The one thing I wish for them to improve is their color selection. Most of the shades are boring and not unique in the slightest. None of the colors popped at me. Retro Red was one of the only ones I really liked. Even though the packaging is kind of a pain, I really like the bullet-like shape of the cap. It's kind of sleek and sexy. I have the NYC lipstick in Lilac. It is an ok product. I like the color, and I like the price (1.99), but it turned out WAY more sheer and sparkly than I thought it would be; not the color I wanted at all. It's ok though, the sparklyness makes my lips look fuller. These lipsticks probably work best when paired over another lipstick. I would probably buy them again, though not in this color, because the price allows me to experiment with colors I won't normally wear. On the lips, it feels rather creamy, but not the kind of thing you'd want to get in your mouth. Like if you painted your lips with really thin, watery plasticine. But that might just be me, because I don't like the feel of a lot of lip products. In the 1st few days of opening this, I was rather crayon-like and hard to get on the lips...you kinda have to draw it on. So I heated it with a blowdrier for 5 seconds before each use, and within 3 days it had turned soft and creamy, not like a cheap lipstick anymore! I dunno if that just happens, or if it was the blowdrying... anyways, i'd probably buy again, just not that color.

I have to be honest, I didn't like this product very much. It was alright when I didn't have any other lip stains on hand, but the staying power wasn't very impressive. Plus, it seemed to transfer. I don't remember the name of the color, but I got the brightest red I could find. I actually prefer the Revlon Just Bitten Lipstain because it doesn't transfer, doesn't dry out as quickly for me, lasts longer, and includes a lip balm at the other end. It is a little pricier, but I feel it's worth it. I purchased this for quite cheap in Work It Plum. While the colour itself is subtle and natural looking.. this does not last at all! In the above swatch photo I compared it will Revlons Just Bitten stain. After around 15 minutes I wiped gently with a damp cloth to test which would prevail. The NYC one disappeared 95% percent, while Revlon's disappeared 30%. One positive this about these, are that the felt tip is much more fine compared to other stain such as the Cover Girl and Revlon ones. Though these are cheap, they do not last that long on my lips nor hand in a test. I would not recommend or repurchase. I bought the color "persistent pink" and I admit that I loved the color so much. It's a clean pretty pink that you rarely get with lip stains plus it smells good and it actually lasts long. However, the marker tip dried so fast. I was irritated that no color would come out after I used it twice. I don't know, maybe I got a crappy one? The color selection looked amazing, but how can I use something that'll dry out in less than two days?

I always wear this, it makes me matte and I have oily skin so I really like that. I have used a lot of expensive products and this works better than all of them and it's so affordable.

At first I thought the brush was going to be good for my lower lashes. But apparently, it is very awkward and hard to work with. But then again, my friends have this mascara and it works wonders for them. I guess mascaras work differently for different people.

I really like this mascara. The little brush is absolutely great for your lower lashes. This is the only mascara that I would use for my lower lashes. It never flakes and I wear it for long periods of time and it is really easy to remove, no pressure at all!

This mascara has a small brush, I like the one with the huge brush. When I wear it, it's not very clumpy but the formula is sort of wet. But, after a few uses and it dries a bit, it is easier to work with. It occasionally flakes, but not usually.

First of all, the brush isn't very good. The formula is very clumpy and causes my eyelashes to stick together. It only works well for me when i wipe off a lot of the mascara off of the brush.

I absolutely love this foundation. It is very lightweight and covers acne bumps, blemishes, and redness. It's so inexpensive and smooth. It would be better with a pump or something besides this huge hole to pour the foundation out. I like to apply this with my fingers. The foundation has this really light perfume scent that my boyfriend likes and always tells me that my face smells nice.
