    Clinique Superbalanced Makeup

    CLINIQUE SUPERBALANCED MAKEUP

Superbalanced makeup has always been one of my favorites! What I love most about this product is the natural finish. I currently use this product as my day time foundation as the coverage is perfect for every day use. It blends lovely and I would definitely recommend using a foundation brush for application as I find this is the best way to apply this product. I have read a few reviews mentioning the actual bottle that it comes in and I personally remove some of the product with a cotton tip on to the back of my hand and use my hand as a palette by removing the product and then applying, I find doing this also means I use less product too so little tip for you there! Even though I have dry skin, this foundation looked good and felt good on my face. Just doesn't have enough moisture for winter. I'm going to try it again when hot summer gets here. I think I will like it very much then because I won't need so much moisture on my face. Great product! I am lighter than NC15, and I bought in Breeze and for the first time in my life. NO MAKEUP LINE. I am impressed with this. I dont even have to really touch up during the day. Nice coverage, keeps oil at bay, and not too mask-like. The only gripe is the bottle, but even then it's a nice thick consistency so it just rolls out of the bottle so you just have to pour out a little bit onto a foundation brush or sponge. perfection! But this foundation gives a flawless full coverage matte finish. If you have problems with the staying power, set it with pressed powder. It helps to absorb the oil; it works for my every time i do that. I love this foundation. I have had no break outs using this and i have been using it for over a year now. Very good quality, and it looks very natural. Only problem is the packaging, not very practical, its glass, and product difficult to remove from bottle. But otherwise love it. Light to medium coverage. Slightly buildable but doesn't cover dark spots completely. Very thin formula when applied with a brush, product doesn't go far as my other creamier liquid foundations. I tend to use much more which is a bit wasteful. It does a nice job of covering pores, lasts most of the day but does tend to fall off my face toward the end of the day if I use a very light hand with it. I set this foundation with Clinique's loose powder foundation. Both leave my skin looking FLAWLESS and poreless. My boyfriend marveled at how airbrushed and pretty my skin looked. (Before, I was using MUFE HD foundation and NEVER received that sort of response from him). I actually was complimented at how pretty I looked and I the only thing in my routine I changed was my foundation/powder. I had/have acne prone skin and so far I haven't broken out with this product. I recommend this foundation if you're not looking for a cakey finished look or full coverage. I also recommend using a brush since fingers may leave streaks and uneven coverage.

  • Matrix Biolage Smooththerapie Deep Smoothing Shampoo

Matrix Biolage Smoothing Shampoo works better than any other shampoo I've tried. I have very fine hair (and a lot of it per square inch on my scalp!) plus my hair is rather long. My hair has a tendency to get extremely tangled easily, and is usually hard to manage. Also it is very difficult to comb out after a shampoo. I find that after using Biolage Smoothing Shampoo, which I often team with the Matrix Biolage Smoothing Conditioner (although when I'm in a hurry, the shampoo alone does the job!), my hair is much easier to care for and it seems to stay that way longer between shampoos. I'm not fighting the tangles. And my hair has a smoother look to it. It takes away the "split-end" look that comes from frequent brushing and blow-drying. Plus it has a pleasant fragrance that stays with my hair long after I shampoo. And it does not have the heavy greasy feel that some conditioning-type shampoos have. I was first introduced to Biolage by my hairdresser. The first thing that I noticed was the wonderful scent. It has kind of a fruity smell but is not so strong that that is all you smell but not so weak that there is a "wet hair" smell. Biolage shampo is a bit pricey but well worth the cost. It is one of the only shampoos that really helps my dry, brittle, lifeless hair to come to life again; leaving it shiney, smooth and stronger. I really like the selection (anything from dry to normal to oily and every thing in between, even for colored hair!) that Biolage offers and size variety. Also, you only need a little bit to get a good rich lather; another perk for the cost. I like that it is environmentaly friendly and does not test on animals. This shampoo is NOT for children as the product can sting your eyes. I would and have recommended Biolage to my friends and family. Great product! They offer color care, smoothing, volumizing, and many more but the smoothing is the most effective one. It actually does everything it is suppose to do. How many products actually do that? It is also pretty affordable. Also you don't need to use as much as drug store bought products, so it lasts much longer. You actually get more for your money if you just splurge a little.. Just think you buy one bottle of shampoo for about twelve dollars and it lasts a couple of months and leaves your hair healthy and smooth. Opposed to store bought thats four dollars anyways and lasts about a week or two and really does nothing for your hair

  • NYX Cosmetics Extra Creamy Round Lipstick

NYX Cosmetics Extra Creamy Round Lipstick

    NYX COSMETICS ROUND LIPSTICK

I like this a lot! I have very pigmented pink lips, and when I apply this over them it turns out to be a very pretty light peach color. The formula is very creamy and moisturizing feeling. Personally, I don't smell or taste anything. The only con is the shimmer. The first time I applied it I felt the shimmer was too overbearing for everyday wear. The thing is, once you work through the first layer of the lipstick in the tube I think the shimmer decreases. Maybe that's just my imagination. But now that I've used this a few times it's perfect for an everyday lip! I think this would go nicely on a lot of skintones, especially fair/warm. I'd buy again. I have medium-skin tone. NC35 to be exact. This is sooooo gorgeous on medium skin tone! This is the perfect nude lip stick! It doesnt make me look sick. Very hard to find a great nude color for medium skin tone. The texture is also very creamy and it lasts fairly oaky around 2 hours before it starts to rub off without eating or drinking. What I dont like about this is that since my lips are pigmented, it tends to highlight the lines on my lips so i had to get a lip concealer from etude house. But the color is really great. A pale peach color with a slight coral tinge to it. This is a great, everyday color. I would describe it as a peachy neutral. I usually wear this with my NYX mega shine lip gloss in smokey look and it looks great. My two complaints about this product; the taste and the frostiness. First, the taste is like detergent, absolutely awful. Luckily the mega shine conceals the bad taste. Second, I would not wear this without a lip gloss over it because of the frostiness. It can look quite garish without it.

  • EcoTools Bamboo Angled Eyeliner Brush

    EcoTools Bamboo Angled Eyeliner Brush

    ECOTOOLS BAMBOO ANGLED EYELINER BRUSH

Need practice to be able to use this brush well. The edge is a bit wide for my eyes compared to its MAC equivalents - definitely could be narrower. However, it's much more precise in terms of the width of its line. Great with gel liners, as long as you have a steady hand. Other than that, it's a great brush. As with all other Ecotools brushes, you can't complain too much about their very few imperfections. You can always find better brushes, but they offer a great price, and philosophy. If you want to complain about their brushes, write to them so they can improve their products!! Come on... it's for the earth. I have had this brush for a few months now, and I love it! It works so well for applying gel eyeliner, and I also use it to line my eyes with coloured eyeshadow when I'm going out :) It's very precise, and I can easily build up product depending on the look I'm going for :) The bristles are very soft (as I've found with all of my EcoTools so far :D) but they are still firm enough to make this a great eyeliner brush. The bristles are firmer than any other angled eyeliner brush I've tried, which makes it great in terms of minimal fallout, but they're still not scratchy! :) I have very sensitive skin, and EcoTools work wonderfully for me! I actually have 2 of this brush. One to use with my gel eyeliner and one to use to fill in my eyebrows. This brush is perfect for eyeliner but it's just okay for eyeliner. It's nice and dense and soft. This brush is only okay for eyeliner because it's pretty big for an eyeliner brush but I can live with that. Winging out your eyeliner with this brush sucks because it's so big, like I said. When I winged out my eyeliner, it was also hard to fill in the space in between the cat eye and my upper lash line. Overall, this brush is pretty good. I would recommend it to fill in your eyebrows but not for your eyeliner.

  • EcoTools Bamboo Blush Brush

    EcoTools Bamboo Blush Brush

    ECOTOOLS BAMBOO BLUSH BRUSH

This is definitely one of my favorite blush brushes! I also have the Sonia Kashuk blusher brush (black-handle), which I really like, but I think I like the Ecotools one better. The size of the Ecotools brush is better for applying blush. This brush is very soft, easy to clean, and does not shed. It is a bit more dense than some other brushes, however, so be warned that this will apply your blush a little heavier. In other words, a little goes a long way with this brush! I have a small-ish face, and my cheekbones aren't very prominent so when i apply blush, i like bring precise. I feel this brush is too big for my face for blush, but it's perfect for powdering, especially for my small face. I don't powder everywhere - only places I get oily, and over where I want to apply other powder products over my foundation. And I don't like when I powder around the hairline and I imagine the powder getting all over my hair because the brush is too big and bristles splay. I don't know how well it'd pick up loose powder, but I find brush works very well with pressed powders. The product transfers well, unlike with many natural-haired brushes. This brush is super soft. It could have more give, but is much better than some of the other brushes I use to powder where i just feel it's taking product off my face while I swipe over my face. It being cheap and environmentally-friendly will definitely keep people buying them. I'm curious about the "new improved" shape some people have written about here. I'm currently using the Sigma equivalent of the MAC 109 for blush, which I love, but I want to be able to use it for contouring. My ideal blush brush would be the MAC 116 or the Shu Uemura blush brush and Suqqu cheek brush (but obtaining that is far from my reality). But they both use natural hairs. Would just be great if ecotools made a brush of similar shape and size.

  • EcoTools Bamboo Powder Brush

    EcoTools Bamboo Powder Brush

    ECOTOOLS BAMBOO POWDER BRUSH

I love Ecotools! I have their retractable kabuki brush and the powder brush and I just bought their 6 piece eye brush set, and I can easily say that I am in LOVE! They are affordable and great quality and never EVER shed! And this brush is just fantastic! I used to use it for my Bare Minerals foundation before I got the kabuki brush, and It worked really well. Now I just use it for blush and bronzer, because I don't use powder and it is good for contouring. I am in love and recommend this to anyone, you won't be disappointed! I use this brush every day for applying blush or a touch of bronzer. I have had it for almost a year and it is still as good as when I bought it. I use it for blush because I am naturally a bit red, so I want my blush to be quite subtle (even after I cover the redness with foundation). For me, this brush delivers the perfect look, never makes my makeup look cakey, and cleans well. For the price, you definitely can't go wrong. Pretty soon after I bought the brush the handle fell off. I did try to glue it back on and tighten it on with pliers and it stayed on ok until I had to wash it. Also, The actual chuck of bristles came off after I had been using it for a year or two. The bristles falling off may have had something to do with me constantly tightening the ferule with pliers but it's worth mentioning. So, that aside I really like this brush! It's as soft as those velvety body shop brushes and are really inexpensive! I find that even the best quality brushes tend to shed once you get to the powder brushes but this one never did! (Until it fell apart that is.) Taking off the handle to wash it wasn't a big deal and even though it fell apart eventually I'll probably just buy another because it never shed a hair and is super soft. If you're worried about it falling apart though either go for a smaller brush or you could try to find this blush brush I have from them. It's the stubby one that came in a pack of four I think. I've had it forever (Not to mention I use it pretty aggressively.) and it's still perfect.

  • MAC 224 Tapered Blending Brush
    10.0

    MAC 224 Tapered Blending Brush

    MAC 224 TAPERED BLENDING BRUSH

My 224 says France as place of manufacturing. It is a brush that really changes my makeup results from what I have been used to. I use it to apply and blend crease colour and to diffuse the colour towards my eyebrows. I FEEL that this brush has great potential, but since I am inexperienced and self-taught I cannot say how good this is. It picks up colour quite well, no unnecessary eyeshadow picking of e/s fallout and it deposits it in the exact spot I want. Then it is easy to blend, The bristles are soft and dense and I had no issues of hair fallout yet. I spot-clean it every now and then, and also wash it from time to time. No problem, no bleeding, no shedding, no splaying (guard always on). I will repurchase if I lost this, but not to have multiples as one is enough for me. All in all necessary but not something thrilling. I really love my 224! This brush often gets over looked because of the 217 (which is my #1 brush). Even though the two brushes look very similar, they apply color very differently. The 224 is great for putting shadow in your crease (if you want something softer than the 217), but my main use is for highlighting under the brows. It applies just enough color that it catches in the sunlight, but I don't look like a drag queen. I've also started using the brush for under eye concealer (I use MACs select cover up) and, in my opinion, works better than a traditional concealer brush because it really gets into your fine lines. I bought this brush to be a blending brush without product. It ended up being my main brush. I have hooded lids, so while I like the 222, it has a smaller radius of adding eyeshadow into my crease and I need the color to go into my crease and above to see it at all. The 224 is perfect for that, but if you have smaller lids and want more precise placement, you might want to look into the 222.

  • It Cosmetics Heavenly Luxe Powder Brush

It Cosmetics Heavenly Luxe Powder Brush

IT COSMETICS HEAVENLY LUXE POWDER BRUSH

This is a really nice, high quality brush. It has a very full and soft brush head. Perfect size for picking up enough powder to do my entire face with one swipe. I haven't experienced any shedding with this brush and no loose hairs which end up stuck to my face. I have washed it several times, and the brush looks and feels just like new. Again, no shedding or splaying. For reference, I also own some MAC, KevynA, PaulaD, LauraM and several Shu (including the 18R Powder). I prefer this brush for finishing powder over the 18R, and this brush cost less. Way to go QVC, I just rec'd this brush with the powder & was raving that it should be sold on its own!!!& here it is!!! This is the BEST makeup brush I have ever owned..Now, I cannot use my other brushes...It is cashmere to your Face..& soooo soft , feels like Velvet...Even my favorite Brush is taking a back seat to this one...I hope the design and sell a set of Brushes.....It is well worth the price!!!! Luxury for your Face!!!!Luv, luv luv.. Thank you for making it Available alone!!!I may have to get a second one for a gift...as it is just that good!!!!!! I got this brush with the powder. Absolutely LOVE it! I have used Bare Escentuals make up and brushes for several years now but I am tossing them all for the IT COSMETICS line of brushes. They are all so silky smoooth to your face and pick up just enouugh powders to cover the wanted areas. I have found a new love in the IT line!

  • Clinique Eye Shader Brush
    10.0

    Clinique Eye Shader Brush

    CLINIQUE EYE SHADER BRUSH

I admit I bought this because I saw Pixiwoo do such cool looks with it, and at the same time it was on sale at Sephora, so I did not pay full price for it. Otherwise I would have said that it's too big to be of any use, maybe for catwalk shows not real life. This is big indeed (thumb size wide, no less) and fluffy. I like to use it to apply base skintone eye shadow on the lid and also for a very soft sheer deposit of darker shades, for a more dramatic look (like the crease color going all the way up to the eye brows, like in some fashion looks like this fall's Chanel). If you think that because it's big you will do your daily looks faster with it you will be disappointed. Because it's big and more of a blending brush all colors it deposit come out sheer-er so you need to spend more time to figure out what to do. It's decently soft, especially after you spot clean it with Clinique's Brush cleanser liquid. But I would rate it more suited for those who have time and mood to stay and play with their eye makeup because it's not an average blending brush (like 217 - not like that at all) it's more a backstage brush (I saw Dior has one even bigger and it's also an eye shadow brush) for certain effects. I love this brush, and I use it every day. It was my first high-end brush purchase a few years ago... and I still love it, after many more. I has never shed and has stood up to many washings. Plus, it is super soft. I will probably add more to my collection. This brush is fabulous and was very easy to use. The bristles are soft, yet have a firmness and it feels nice in my hand. It was wide enough to easily spread shadow over a good area of my lid, but also fit the width of the shadow duo color. I also didn't have to pick any stray bristles off my face, either. The quality and results are definitely worth the money.

  • Amazing Cosmetics Velvet Mineral Powder

    Amazing Cosmetics Velvet Mineral Powder

    AMAZING COSMETICS VELVET MINERAL POWDER

I have used bare minerals in the past and while I liked the idea of mineral makeup, I was getting a reaction to the bare minerals..then I tried laura mercier loose minerals and had the same itchy reaction. After reading about these products I realized it must be the bismuth oxychloride..so I went on a search for a mineral foundation that didn't contain bismuth and I found amazing cosmetics velvet mineral and I love it! First of all the color light golden is a perfect match for my skin, it gives me amazing coverage, and it is long lasting! I live in houston where it is always hot and humid and I swear this is sweat proof as long as you are not wiping away sweat but blotting it away. Also I find this lasts longer if it is set with a setting powder..I use clinique translucent blend face powder. I have this in the loose version and the pressed..I find I can get better coverage with the loose minerals, and I like the pressed for travel since I really hate traveling with loose minerals. Overall I think this is a great product! This is for the pressed Velvet Mineral Powder.. This is good for people who don't like to wear a lot of makeup. I am light skinned with combination skin and slight acne on my cheeks. I just turned 30 and stated to use make-up to try to hide my face imperfections (acne scars, open pores, small spot of sun damage). All the things i mentioned are minor but I don't feel comfortable not covering them. I started using this pressed powder a year ago but I only use it with a brush. I love the way it makes my skin looks, it makes it look flawless and is if I was not wearing make-up at all. I don't wear a lot and can still see the acne scars unless I use concealer to hide them. My sister is a make-up fanatic and has tried tons of powders and feels this is the best out there. She recommended to me since I am a beginner with make-up and I can say I love the way it hides imperfections but still looks natural. For $30+ is worth the try. I purchased the set which included the concealer, pressed powder, and the mineral makeup and I'm sold on it. Amazing's Velvet Mineral has beautiful coverage w/out exposing my pores. I even brush it on my decollage. I can't say enough about it. My skin gets a little oily in summer and dry in winter and the makeup pretty much adjusts to my skin. I LOVE it!!!
