Here are all my reviews:
  • June Jacobs Spa Collection Green Tea and Cucumber Body Balm

I got a deluxe sample of this and was really disappointed. I put some on the back of my hands and they instantly turned red and felt irritated. When I looked at the ingredients, I was appalled that the fragrance was way at the front of the list of the green tea, cucumber, rice bran, extracts, etc. that it touts making this more of a frangrance product than a good moisturizer. Besides the huge amount of fragrance, it also contains a lot of plant oils/extracts that are known to be skin irritants, such as citronellol and limonene, and linalool . This product is also very expensive, so I would expect it to have an exceptional fragrance and/or more importantly, really hydrate my skin. This smells very much like a much less expensive Healing Garden Lotion. I absolutely would not recommend it for sensitive skin, which I have. The smell is strong, but okay. I would much prefer a perfume to this product.

    Free & Clear Hypoallergenic Shampoo

Awesome for sensitive, allergy prone skin

This is a great product because it is so hard to find a fragrance free shampoo. This shampoo is very basic--it does not contain fragrance or irritants found in most other shampoos, but it thoroughly cleans and leaves hair soft, shiny, and manageable. It is really nice because it does not irritate my super sensitive, allergy prone skin. It also does not cause acne. I love that it is fragrance free because I feel better using it on my child, and my husband does not complain about the floral or coconut smell as he does about other quality shampoos that I would consider buying. This is also at the top of my list because the company does not do animal testing. It does not contain extraneous, unnecessary chemicals (no such thing as hypo-allergenic--those with very sensitive skin should use effective products with as few ingredients as possible). Note that this shampoo cleans well, but in order to avoid extraneous chemicals, it does not lather so it takes a bit of getting used to. It is hard to find--I can only find it on online. It is average price.

  • Jane Shimmering Bronzer Powder

    Jane Shimmering Bronzer Powder

    Hidden gem--must have!

This is a super high quality bronzer in cheap packaging. The color is right on--very flattering! It is a fine silky powder that blends beautifully. It lasts, is buildable, and it has a radiant glow finish without being sparkly. The packaging is cheap, but effective. It has bronzer in the top compartment and a mirror and brush in the bottom. The brush is not great but works on the go. I love Fiji and especially Tahiti as a general bronzer--the bronze shades are in a checkerboard pattern. Sedona has the shades in stripes and is very versatile--the light colors can be used as a highlighter. I lke these as well as Bobbi Brown. The bronzers are not fragranced and work well as eye shadows too. I cannot find these in stores anymore and have never seen this brand advertised. Everything on their website is $3. This is my all time favorite bronzer/general makeup staple. I hope they do not go out of business. This is an exceptional must have that you really should try if you have not already.

  • Jane Lipkick Rich Color

I don't know why Jane does not do any advertising, marketing, or free samples ever. I saw all these great reviews of their powders, blushes, bronzers, and lipkicks. The are high quality products in cheap packaging at phenomenal prices. I decided to try these Lipkicks because their website is selling everything at $3 each right now--a real steal (hope they are not going out of business--I can't find these in stores anymore). I got two. Naughty is a bright pink one shade brighter than a natural lip color. The other was rose, which is a bright raspberry. They were not exactly the colors I expected but are both very pretty, flattering, and wearable. They are very pigment creamy lipsticks that stay in place and last. Compares to high end lipsticks. If you have not tried Jane, these are awesome. You will not be disappointed.

  • Neutrogena Triple Renewal Weightless Conditioner

I have baby fine, color treated hair. This conditions well and detangles without weighing down my hair. The only things that disappoint me are that the company engages in animal testing (so I will not repurchase) and I cannot recycle the container.

    Clinique Facial Soap

    Side step this one

I don't care for this soap. Like other bar soaps, it is just too drying. While it does it fragrance free and does not irritate my skin, it makes my skin feel tight and does not seem to rinse clean. It is also expensive. I like Clinique's liquid soap much better.

  • gud Natural Body Lotion

While I love the fresh, clean, not to sweet fragrance, I just cannot recommend this body lotion. I got a sample. On application it kind of pills. It is difficut to rub in and feels slimey and sticky--very odd texture. It remains waxy feeling and my hands still felt dry. The main reason I do not like this product is the ingredients. Ingredients are listed in order by the ingredient most prevelant to least. The first ingredient is water which I am guessing is to thin it (water is not hydrating--note how chapped your skin gets from hand washing). The second most prevelant ingredient is cetearyl glucoside which is an emulsifier. An emulsifier keeps the ingredients from separating. The third most prevelant ingredient is fragrance, which I find alarming. This lotion contains more fragrance than moisturizer! It is just listed as "fragrance". It does not specify whether it is synthetic or natural--it is very vague. If it is synthetic, it is not really as natural as it touts itself to be. If it contains natural citrus oils--wow! Citrus oils are known to irritate skin and should be used sparingly if at all, mixed in with beauty products. Sure enough, it made my hands sting and turn red. Glad I did not slather it on elsewhere. I would absolutely not personally endorse it for sensitive skin, or even regular use. If you like the citrusy blood orange scent, Bliss had body butters which have great citrusy fragrance, but also moisturizers and benificial ingredients up much higher on the ingredient list.

  • Origins Ginger Essence Intensified Fragrance Rollerball

It is a nice vibrant, spicy, energetic scent, but it made my skin break out in red bumps where I sampled it. Ginger is a known skin irritant so this is not for those with sensitive skin or even daily use. Bummer because I really like the fragrance.

  • Oscar de la Renta Live In Love Eau De Parfum Spray

I originally like this parfum. It is a light, clear, floral blend with a note like lilies of the valley or something. It did not smell unique but pretty. I was surprised and disappointed that the scent was almost gone after it dried. This never happened to me before, so you may want to test it before you buy because it is pricey.

Paula's Choice Hair & Body Shampoo

Luxurious lather and great for easily irritated skin

This is an excellent product for sensitive skin (even for babies). It is fragrance-free, color-free, and irritant-free. It has a luxurious lather--almost like a bubble bath without the irrirtation and rinses leaving your skin and hair feeling clean but not dry or greasy. It is great for family vacations because it is good for baby's skin, no fragrance to scare your husband, it can be used as a bubble bathe or shower gel, and one product washes hair and body. It is a little bit expensive which is why I originally gave it a "9", but way worth the money. I had to bump it up to "10" because despite the price, I keep stocking up on this. It is my favorite. The company also does NOT engage in animal testing which is a huge plus!
