From Unsure to Impressed
The first time I used this lotion, I wasn't sure about the smell- I thought it was a bit strong and that made me kind of nervous. However, this lotion provided the perfect amount of moisture and really improved my complexion. My skin seemed to break out less often and just looked healthier. I'm pretty picky about my creams and lotions and I found this to be a nice textures, light to medium weight lotion.

I love exfoliation, but I'm def. aware that too much of a good thing can become a bad thing. Although I'd love to exfoliate every day, I keep it to 1-2x/weekly. I have fairly sensitive skin and also have an autoimmune condition so I'm careful about the types of products I use. I normally use gentle products on my face (Cetaphil for washing, SteamCream as a lotion), but I won a CellCeuticals Kit and decided to try it. I'll leave a review for the entire kit at some point, but I wanted to also review this separately since it's prob. my favorite of the 5 items that I tried. So this came in a tiny little tube which had me worried at first. I like to use a big handful of the St. Ives scrub!! It turns out that you seriously don't need (or want!) to use very much of this since it's so effective. It's a smooth, white creamy base with no detectable odor. The part that made the previous reviewer hate it was the part that made me fall in love! It has some *serious* grit to it!! The particles are micro-fine and you can't even see them in the cream. You'll def. feel them on your face though. You don't have to use much pressure at all when exfoliating with this, in fact you'll prob. want to be gentle. I felt like it really got the blood moving in my face and make my skin feel more....alive. It didn't damage my skin at all and I was left with a clean and smooth face. It also didn't dry out my skin in the slightest--- all the CellCeutical products that I've tried have been very moisturizing. Something to note: I'm afraid of all those spinning brush things bc I fear they'll damage my skin but I love using this. *Also, I did receive this product as a prize from a contest, but the opinion is totally my own. I would def. repurchase the MicroResurfacing Skin Treatment and recommend giving it a try if you're looking for something with a more intense scrubbing experience!

I've been using this for about a week along with the matching conditioner (which I also reviewed). I gave the conditioner an 8/10 so I guess for the shampoo and conditioner when used together, I'd give them a 7. I'm basing my review on the fact that this is a drug-store product at a fairly low price point, but I'm also speaking from the viewpoint of someone who has naturally curly hair that is dry/damaged from some health conditions, side effects from medications, and from flat ironing and blow drying my hair. I wasn't a huge fan of the smell, it does smell like honey (which I don't really like). Not sure if this product will make my hair stronger in the long run (I kind of worry that cheaper, drug store products of this type will damage my hair over time) but I've had decent results when using this shampoo along with the conditioner. I wouldn't say it's calmed down my frizzy hair or necessarily made it appear less damaged, but it does feel softer after using it. It didn't leave me with any build up or residue. I bought this on sale, so it was under $3 so I feel satisfied with my purchase. I'll see how my hair does after using it for a longer period of time, but at this point, I plan to keep using it and would consider buying it again in the future.

Pleasantly Surprised, Immediate Results
My hair has been really dried out lately and I just can't seem to find anything that's working for me. I remember a prior incarnation of L'Oreal Hydra Vive that I really liked and something about the color of this bottle, the smell of the product, and the fact that it had honey (the other had royal jelly) drew me to this product on the shelf. It was also on sale, so I decided to try it out. I'm glad I did because my results so far have been positive. I've been using it for almost a week with the matching shampoo. It does have a slight honey-ish smell (which I don't totally love since I'm not a big honey fan) but it's not strong or off-putting. I'm sure there are lots of people who would find the smell to be a plus. I like how smooth it feels on my hair when I'm applying it. I also like that I don't have to leave it on for 3-5 minutes. I have natural curly hair (3B) that is prone to getting frizzy. I usually try to buy products that specifically claim to reduce frizz or to add shine, so this was a bit different than my normal purchases (though like I said, I haven't had much luck lately with smoothing/anti-frizz products). Not sure if this will make my hair stronger in the long run, but I do feel it had immediate results in terms of making my hair softer and more hydrated. It doesn't leave me with a feeling of any build up or residue. I think this was a great value, I'm satisfied with my purchase, and I would consider buying this again in the future.

Works great..but for a price
I got this product from Sephora as a bday gift. I almost wish I hadn't because I love it so much but just can't rationalize spending this much for a lip product. It has a fresh lemony scent (but warm, not chemicall-y) and glides on smoothly. I did find that the product seems like it would break off super easily and I was only using the mini-size. My lips weren't ultra chapped when I used it, so I can't comment on how effective it would be in that situation but it felt great applying it before bed during the summer. Sometimes Sephora and/or Fresh have gift sets and this product is included-those seem to be a much better deal. *Note that the colored versions of this product and the more intensive version DON'T have the same smell, which was a bummer since the smell was so addictive.

Love the smell!
And how this product works. I don't think it's overly greasy; just like all products designed to moisturize the cuticle area, you need to gently massage it in. You only need a small amount. It makes my nails and cuticle areas much healthier looking--smooth and free of hangnails. I love the little tin it comes in and since you only need a small amount, it lasts for a really long time.

Surprised by the negative reviews...
I personally thought this product went above and beyond my expectations. I'll admit-- I bought it for the name. Whipped Cream sounded like something that my dry, frizzy, and super curly hair would enjoy. You only need a super small amount; I mix a dollop of the mousse with one pump of Paul Mitchell's Super Skinny Serum (my hair dresser said it's best to mix and mousse and serum for naturally curly hair). The smell is strong but pleasant. Sometimes I blow dry my hair for looser curls but if I choose to air dry, this doesn't get crunchy at all.
