  • Wen Sweet Almond Mint Re-Moist Hydrating Mask

This is not their absolute worst product. It does moisturize you hair, but I feel like I have to shampoo it out. There are far better (and cheaper) hair treatments out there.

  • WEN Saw-Cut Shower Comb
    8.0

    WEN Saw-Cut Shower Comb

    Only good Wen Product

The comb works really well. The wider toothed side gets out tangles after I apply conditioner, and the finer side really distributes the conditioner through my hair. It really helps the conditioner to sink in. It hasn't broken on me yet (super plus) and I keep in the shower at all times.

  • Revlon Matte Lipstick
    7.0

    Revlon Matte Lipstick

    Smoked peach

I love Revlon lipsticks. I have the matte in smoked peach. I do like it but I really have to make a look around it as it does not go with everything. It is definitely a matte finish. It doesn't feel gritty or gross and it doesn't dry out my lips like some mattes can. I can't say I am a huge fan of mattes, I like to put a little gloss on top. They don't have enough color selection. I wish that Revlon would display their lipsticks by finish because that is the hardest part of shopping their colors. I find a beautiful color and it turns out to be a frost (yuck). Three stars off because there aren't enough matte colors and it's just not my favorite finish.

  • Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter
    9.0

    Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter

    Great quick lip color

The lip butters are very high on the hype. There is a reason. They are pigmented, moisturizing and easy to use. They have some really great colors and they last a decent amount of time. Application feels good, and you want to reapply - even if you are lazy like me about reapplying lipstick. They are at a good price and Revlon often has bogo offers. I need more colors!

  • Maybelline New York Superstay 24hr Color

I really like this product. I enjoy the infallable ones (once I figured out how to use them), but I find the lipbalm on this one to be glossier and much more rich. When you apply you really must use a thin coat and make sure the edges are smoothed out (I use my fingers), or else you will get a weird harsh shiny line. Too thick of a coat will cause pilling of the color. I love that they are cheaper than the infallibles too. They have a good color selection and I love the pretty pearly pink one especially. I find these stay all day with minimal wear. They are easily removed with a makeup wipe. The only thing you need to be careful of with any of these 24 hour color/balm products is that greasy food will cause it to come off. Other that that I highly recommend this over any of the other brands I have tired.

  • Maybelline New York Superstay 10hr Stain Gloss
    8.0

Maybelline New York Superstay 10hr Stain Gloss

    Great drugstore gel gloss/stain

This product has been compared to the ysl stains, which I have not tried but kind of want to. The gloss applies like a gel, and is super shinny. I also find the colors to be very bright. Some more toned down colors would be a great addition to this collection. I don't think the gloss lasts more than an hour or so. The stain does last about 4-5 hours before I feel I need a new coat. Definitely not 10 hours. I don't find them drying, but once the gloss wears off, you can always put another gloss or a balm over the top of the stain if you feel you need it. Or just re-apply the product itself. For the price, I would give it a try. If they truly are similar to the YSL, you can try this first for less than $10 and then decide if you might like to spend a crazy amount on the high end brand.

  • Maybelline New York Eye Studio Master Shape Brow Pencil

Minus one star for having to sharpen it and it's plastic that you are sharpening. It does however sharpen easily. I use the auburn color and it works great at matching my (dyed) copper red hair. It applies super easy as it is smooth. It is a bit waxy, but only enough to keep your brows in place and it works great at it. If you get a little heavy handed, it has a brush on the other end that works really well and redistributing the color so it looks more natural and of course combs your brows into place. I have found, using it everyday, that is lasting me quite awhile. I have to sharpen it once a week or so, but I use a light hand - keeping it natural as possible. The price is great - drugstore ranged price and it works great so I don't feel like I have to spend a lot. It also doesn't hurt my feelings at all to repurchase (which I have). I don't see a lot of reds in eyebrow pencils in the drug store either, so I am glad they have this shade. It's easier than powder, because you aren't applying powder, then applying a setting gel. It's all in one and super easy. The only improvement they could make is the packaging. If it was a twist up pencil it would be PERFECT. But then I am not sure where they would put the nifty brush on the other end.

  • Maybelline New York Dream Bouncy Blush

First off, be aware, the lighter colors are not near as pigmented as the darker colors. They do have a strange texture and are more mushy that bouncy. The best way I have found to apply them is by gently swirling my finger around in a circle in the product. This gets it on my finger, then I can tap it into my skin. I have also used a flat top brush and stippled it into the product, the swirled it on my cheeks. Trying to swipe my finger through the product - like you can with cream blushes, just didn't work for me. I always put a powder blush over the top to set it. It does feel like a powder after you apply it to your cheeks, but the staying power isn't really there for these blushes. The consistency is like a really finely milled powder mixed with play dough (not greasy like play dough though. It does not bounce back when you press your finger in it, so I am not sure why they call it bouncy blush. They should have called it smooshy blush as that seems more appropriate. It us a fun product to have in your collection if things like this cheer you up. Once you learn the best way for you to use it, it is easy and fairly quick to apply. Overall, I am not sure if I would re-purchase, but I do recommend it for the fun factor and just to try out the uniqueness of it.

  • Maybelline New York Eye Studio Color Tattoo 24hr Cream Gel Shadow

I think I have 6 of these now. Gold, Taupe, Orange, White, Green, and Pomegranate. I LOVE these. I usually apply them as a base for other colors. I use a brush to lay the product down then blend out with my finger. These last all day, don't crease, and really add to sheer eyeshadow and give added depth to any eyeshadow. I love using the white under pinks as it really makes them pop. The taupe is a bit off for my skin tone and unlike some people, I can not wear it just by itself. It does make a nice base for taupes that I can wear. The green is not what I consider Emerald green, but it really adds depth to my favorite eyeshadow color - green! The gold works really well under natural colors, browns, golds, bronzes. The orange is great for summery yellow/orange/red looks which really compliment blue/green eyes. I love wearing reddish/burgundy colors as well, and find myself grabbing for the pomegranate punk color often. I have not gone for the purple because it is hard to work with, but I may give it a go. I know MUF makes a nice bright purple, and I might just spend the extra money on that one instead. I would love to get the rest of the colors, but they always seem to be out at the store - that tells me just how much people love them. I hope they come out with many more colors - matte and shimmer. Some nude colors, a matte white, maybe different versions of blue and green. These are smooth, creamy, and work well. I would highly recommend these as they are at a good price. They often have buy one get one free or buy one get one half off.

  • Maybelline New York Color Sensational Lipcolor

This is not my favorite lipstick, but it is a darn good lipstick brand. It's moisturizing and the color selection is large. I also like how they separate out their colors on the display. This way it is easy for beginners to find a great pink based, or brown based, etc. They are reasonably priced and are much more moisturizing that some more expensive brands that I have tried. Overall I will continue to purchase these lipsticks.
