  • Dermalogica mediBac Clearing Oil Control Lotion

I have combination skin, and I hate when my forehead is super oily after a few hrs. This product was suggested to me at a salon. I haven't decided if I like it or not. It may have improved the oiliness some but I don't know if it is enough of a result for me to buy it again. It's a little on the pricey side. I think it may have made my skin break out a little too. I stopped using it, so I can't say for sure, but the product has caffeine in it, and I try to avoid caffeine

  • Aveeno Positively Radiant Daily Moisturizer SPF 15

So the moisturizer works decently but my pores felt clogged at the end of the day. I have combination (oily t-zone), sensitive skin with medium-large pores. This didn't necessarily cause my skin to break out, but at the end of the day, my pores just felt clogged (to be a little graphic, I could squeeze my pores and it seemed like the lotion had been stuck in there.) As for moisturizing, it did a decent job, but I switched to clean and clear daily moisturizer spf15. It's cheaper and doesn't clog my pores. It probably doesn't give you all the benefits of nicer moisturizers, but it does the job for me.

  • DDF Sulfur Therapeutic Mask
    5.0

    DDF Sulfur Therapeutic Mask

    Not much difference

My verdict is still out on this one. I have oily skin that can get dried out easily..which then usually leads to overcompensation and acne. I have used a prescription sulfur mask years ago for acne (and loved it), so I thought I would try this. I have to agree with one other review in that the smell is not pleasant..and not because of the sulfur but because there is clearly some other perfumes or what not that they put in it. If it was just sulfur, I wouldn't mind that. Anyway, this mask leaves my skin feeling really dried out and I'm not sure if it has had any positive effect on my acne or made my skin feel cleaner. I felt like I got better results when I just used the St. Ives equivalent (which didn't dry my skin out) . I also prefer to treat my skin with a pumpkin peel (which has glycolic, lactic and salicylic acids) and then put a 100% pure hyaluronic acid moisturizer on. That makes my skin feel the best. All in all, this mask isn't terrible but for the money, I don't think the results are there.

  • Clean & Clear Foaming Facial Cleanser for Sensitive Skin

Update..not sure if I'll stick with it because it seems to leave my face dried out, but so far everything I try does. Otherwise this wash is pretty good at cleaning my face. I have always been using tons of harsh products for my acne. I'm fair skin and after I would wash my face, it always looked pink. Most of the washes I've used in the past contain benzoyl peroxide, and I started to wonder if those product were doing more harm than good for my acne. I've recently switched to this and so far my skin is doing great. It feels healthier and doesn't get red like it used to. I'm still waiting to see if my skin will breakout because I'm not using an acne wash, but so far, so good.

  • Bobbi Brown Everything Mascara

I usually use just regular drugstore mascara and get decent results. I just had my make-up done at the Bobbie Brown counter and loved how dramatic my eyelashes looked with this. It's pricey but I had to get it. It was the only thing I bought at the time. I'm still waiting to see how I like the rest of the make-up.

  • Maybelline New York Pure Makeup

    Maybelline New York Pure Makeup

    Good for oily skin

I have problems with combination/oily skin with occasional breakouts. I've used foundations for acne but sometimes find my skin flaking by the end of the day. I tried this product and have been pretty happy with it. It doesn't dry out my skin but handles my oiliness decently. I have fair skin and it matches well. I still use a green concealer for redness from acne and loose powder to set the makeup and combat oiliness. All in all, I've been happy with it and it doesn't irritate my skin or cause more acne. I just wish it offered more coverage.

  • Clean & Clear Persa-Gel 10 Acne Medication

I've tried all different treatments from dermatologists to Proactive. I have combination/ very fair skin. One thing I always found with all these products is that my skin is left looking pink. Currently I use Acnefree, but I'm realizing that benzoyl peroxide cleansers are too harsh on my skin. I still need something strong to attack the occasional ugly zit and this stuff works. Of course I only use it as a spot treatment, and on the areas where I can feel a breakout coming. I would never put it all over, because it would definitely be too much for my skin and leave it dried out I find that using a gentle foaming cleanser, toner (acnefree) and a salicylic acid gel (acnefree) along with this for spot treatment at night works well, although I'm still experimenting. For daytime, I use a gentle cleanser, toner(acnefree), a repair lotion (acnefree) and this product if I still have a persistent pimple. I always use an SPF moisturizer for the day too.

  • Physicians Formula Mineral Wear Talc-Free Mineral Loose Powder

So I always see the bare essentials infomercials, but wasn't willing to spend the money. I use a powder to set my liquid foundation normally. All the rave seems to be about how these mineral powders are better than talc-based powders, so I thought I would give it a try. At first, it didn't seem to work well with my skin..making my pores seem bigger and not blending well. Of course, I'm a cheap-scape when it comes to make-up, so I thought I would try it out for longer. Now, I use it all the time and it looks fine. I don't know if my skin got use to it or what, but it goes on smooth and doesn't clog my pores. As for coverage, I don't use it alone and can't really picture it offering a super amount of coverage, especially if you have blemishes. One thing that can be a pain is getting the right amount on the brush, because if you put too much in one spot on your face, it doesn't blend super well and can look a little cakey.

  • Neutrogena SkinClearing Liquid Makeup

    Neutrogena SkinClearing Liquid Makeup

Good, but sometimes dried out my skin

I used to use this foundation. I was pretty happy with it because it matched my skin decently. I have very fair skin and combination skin. I also get hormonal breakouts. It did a decent job with my oily skin, (of course I always have to use a powder to help set the makeup and control my oily skin). I found while this foundation seemed to help my acne, it sometimes left my skin dried out in areas, and make-up does not look pretty when your skin is flaky.

  • Herbal Essences None of Your Frizzness Smoothing Shampoo

First off, I love the smell of this shampoo. Also, it works well on my colored hair. Whenever I use it, my hair feels much softer.
