One of the best pencils out there
Obviously this liner is for smudging. That is why there is a 'smudger' on the opposite end. The beautiful thing about this liner is that it is not too hard or too soft. When sharpened to a point, it is defining and I am able to keep it that way all day. No smudges. Anything thicker than a point and it will smudge - but it the color does stay with you throughout the day. It is great for the water line and it will keep until you take or rub it off. It is pricey though - which is the only downer for me. Wet 'n Wild has similar pencils at a fraction of the cost. I only ever get the chance to use this product when it is a 'gift with purchase.'

Length? Cover Girl has a twisted sense of humor
So I wanted to try a mascara specifically for lengthening purposes. This is not it. Not even close. It does separate marvelously and it was able to reach those itty-bitty lashes in the corner of my eyes. There was absolutely NO length that I would consider apparent, let alone 'substantial' as CG advertises. Very natural look, but I won't be buying this again.

Save your money
I bought into the hype and tried this in place of my #1 beauty tool, Maybelline's Great Lash mascara. Ugh. The brush looks fun - but it's not as easy to apply as it would seem. Perhaps I haven't been trained properly? I went to youtube to get some tips and have yet to find anything I can use. The formula is creamy - oily almost. The first coat went on very light and faint. It was a natural look, but zero "oomph" factor. The second coat was a nightmare. Tarantula eyes!! I've tried layering wet, dry, after combing it through with a comb . . . nothing works. I consider it $8 wasted.

Best mascara hands down
I get that some people might not like Great Lash at first - I didn't either. However, I am now a firm believer that this is the best mascara on the market. The formula is thinner and slicker than most. However, it is the easiest mascara to layer. There have been a few occasions I have put on 6 - 7 coats at a time and have very little clumping. Nothing a swipe through of a decent lash comb can't fix. This is more for lengthening than volume. Some tips: Curl your lashes; Wipe the brush on some tissue before applying each coat; Comb through each coat and, most importantly, DON'T let the coats completely dry in between each application. The results are natural, lengthy lashes that are soft to the touch and shine!

I am half asian and half caucasian with pale skin and a slight yellow undertone to it. Estee Lauder has a wonderful color selection. The color I received was spot on, which is no small feat. The woman at the counter talked me into this foundation as it is their "best seller." I have combination skin that errs on the side of oily. This formula is incredibly thick and I found it hard to blend. You have to work fast! I wasn't impressed with how it felt on my skin. It is full coverage and does give a very matte finish that lasted throughout the most of the day. I just don't like feeling as though I am wearing a foundation mask - which it did with this. Rather than let it go to waste, I mix it with lotion before applying. This helps. When this bottle is done I will go back to EL's "Equalizer Smart Makeup".

Metal combs are hard to come by at such a good price!
I have only recently started using the Sonia Kashuk line at Target Stores. While I haven't been impressed with the colors of her make-up selection, I am *in love* with her brushes. This lash/brow groomer is, by far, the best lash separator I have ever used. The metal teeth are wonderful at getting all those little clumps out. "Goodbye" are the days of tarantula eyes! When you buy one, make sure the teeth are straight. There were a few on the shelves that had bent combs. Word of caution: The teeth are SHARP! I actually drew blood when testing the strength of them. You only have one set of eyeballs, so use with the utmost care!

Pore Minimizing It Is Not
I have used this product for about 7 months, along with the rest of the Genesis line. Unfortunately, there is nothing about this cleansing gel that has made my pores any smaller. That's all due to genetics, so I can't blame L'Oreal for that. (Although I wish I could!) What it DOES do is make my combination skin soft and smooth - not an easy feat for just a gel. I do not use any type of scrub or other exfoliant, but people always comment on how good my skin looks. They sometimes go so far as touching my face. Even when I forgo using the serum or lotion, my skin is still amazingly soft. I LOVE the smell of this cleanser (all of the Genesis line, really) so it is definitely not for those sensitive to fragrances. Yes, I still have to use an eye makeup remover, but just to remove the residuals after washing. This stuff does take off most of it AND I've never had a problem with eye sensitivity. I've never found a skin cleansing product that can remove all my mascara at once, so I can forgive this small flub. For a good cleansing gel under $10, it doesn't get much better than this!
