  • Sally Hansen French Manicure White Tip Pen Fine Tip

I bought this several years ago because I thought it might be a quick & handy way to do a french manicure. Wrong! It was much harder to use than I thought it would be, the liquid was runny and didn't stay where I put it and it was more transparent than I really thought it should be. I think I tried it twice and eventually gave up and threw it away. I wouldn't bother with this if I were you...

    C.O. Bigelow Metha-Lip Tint

Not as great as I hoped...

I love the cinnamon flavored gloss from this brand and the plain clear mint gloss is nice, too. I normally prefer tinted lip products so I was excited to try the tinted version of these mint flavored glosses. But what I didn't think about before I bought this was that the original versions don't stay on very long. Not the end of the world with a clear gloss but makes for a lot of reapplying when you're trying to keep color on your lips. I never used this much and wouldn't purchase again.

  • C.O. Bigelow Mentha Lip Shine / Breath Freshener

This lip gloss is very shiny and very minty. It's smooth and not sticky, but I do not think it is very moisturizing and it also doesn't last long. Definitely not bad if you don't mind reapplying! I don't love the applicator either and always end up putting it on with my finger. I like the cinnamon flavored gloss from this brand a lot better.

  • C.O. Bigelow Mentha Vitamin Body Wash - No. 1411

This body wash is a summer favorite! My fiance especially loves it and after I bought it for him, I got hooked on it myself. The mint scent is very, very strong--but it's not a natural, herbal kind of mint. I definitely recommend giving it a good sniff in the store before buying to make sure it's the type of mint fragrance you're looking for. It's also very cooling. I absolutely love it after a long run or on a hot summer day. It's very cooling and refreshing (in fact, we put it away every year for the winter and it doesn't come out of the cabinet again until the first really hot summer day). We will buy this for as long as they make it!!!

  • C.O. Bigelow Cinnamint Mentha Lip Shine

This gloss is so great! The cinnamon flavor/scent is very, very strong (which I like) and it gives lips LOTS of shine. It's not sticky at all, though it doesn't last as long as I would like. I don't love the applicator--just slanted plastic with a hole, so you either squeeze directly onto lips to apply, or as I prefer, onto a finger and apply that way. It's smooth and moisturizing and I have purchased this many times.

  • Method Hand Wash Refill

    Method Hand Wash Refill

    What's not to like?

Method is a fantastic brand. Their products are effective without being unreasonably expensive. And it's so cost effective to be able to buy a pump bottle once, then buy a nice big refill so you don't have to pay for that packaging over and over. (You also don't have to THROW AWAY that packaging over and over.) It irritates me sometimes that my local stores don't carry as many scents as refills that they have in the pump bottles, but that's not Method's fault. Definitely a great product.

  • L'Occitane Shea Butter Hand Cream

I have a tiny, sample-size tube of this cream that I have been rationing for months. This hand cream is so amazing! It has little or no scent (I have a weak sense of smell--so do a sniff test first if you're sensitive to fragrance!), so it never overpowers my perfume, which I like. It isn't even a little bit greasy and it soaks right in. I have never used a hand cream that is as richly moisturizing as this one. When my tiny tube runs out (I don't have to use it often because it moisturizes so well!), I will definitely buy this again. A tiny bit goes a long way so it is definitely worth the price!

  • Burt's Bees Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream

I bought this some time ago on the recommendation of a friend who swears by it. It isn't bad, and I don't regret buying it, but there are other products I use on my cuticles that I like much better. This cuticle cream has a soft but noticeable lemon scent. You only need a tiny bit to massage into cuticles to moisturize effectively, but the moisture is short lived as I have found it needs to be reapplied after every hand washing (which is frequent for me, as I drink LOTS of water...). I have used other products that only need to be reapplied once or twice a day to keep my cuticles nice, but this cream is still most definitely better than nothing at all on my cuticles. I will continue using this until my tin runs out (and you do get a large amount of product in the tin that will last a long time) but I doubt I will ever buy it again.

  • Bath & Body Works True Blue Spa Shea Cashmere Hand Cream

I initially really liked this hand cream and used it regularly for several months. It does have a strong scent, but I found it pleasant (definitely do a sniff test before you buy!). I thought the cream felt very thick and luxurious and when I smoothed it over my hands the cream made them feel silky smooth. Except eventually I started noticing that the smooth feeling came from the cream gliding over my skin...that is, not ever really sinking in. So while this cream APPEARED to be effective and made my skin feel nice...it wasn't actually moisturizing my skin or improving the health of my skin at all. Other creams soak in and I can see an actual improvement in the moisture level and overall health of my skin, even after washing my hands, but I did not get that at all with this cream and finally stopped using it.

  • DERMAdoctor Wrinkle Revenge Rescue & Protect Eye Balm

I was given a sample of this by a friend and I can't wait to go out and purchase the full-size product. I don't normally use any eye treatments, but since I had the sample I gave it a try. The results were amazing. I don't usually care enough (or have time) for concealing my dark under eye circles, so I noticed right away that after just a couple days of use this product had significantly reduced them. No more bags and no more dark circles. I didn't notice much, if any, improvement in the tiny lines around my eyes, but the sample size only contained enough product for about a week's use. The full-size product is expensive, but I know I only need to use a tiny dot (about lentil-sized) to be effective, so one jar of this should last long enough to be more than worth the cost. Update 6/13/12: I did purchase the full size jar of this eye cream and I remain impressed. I tap a tiny bit into my under eye area every evening (and in the morning if I remember and have time) and I continue to have significantly reduced dark circles and no bags under my eyes at all. This cream has also diminished the fine lines around my eyes enough that the cashier at Sephora told me the 500 point perk was an anti-aging kit but that I definitely didn't need it. It is a small jar for a lot of money, but I've been using it daily (sometimes twice daily) and have barely made a dent in it. I'm hooked for life! Update: My first jar lasted about a year and one month. It started to dry out a bit (I think I wasn't closing the jar tightly enough there for awhile), but I was still able to smooth it under my eyes and it remained effective. I bought a new jar and feel $48 a year is worth having almost no darkness under my eyes.
