If you like shimmer...
You'll probably really dig this lip gloss. Its not just glossy, but loaded with micro shimmery pigment. I am not a lip gloss lover, and I find that for daily wear this UD fav is a little on the heavy, gooey, sticky side, but for night wear when I won't be kissing anyone who doesn't want goo on their face, this is my hello-lips! go to product. Unlike some of the reviews, I do find that there is a slight smell and flavor of mint (gives you a slight cool tingle with a little lip plumping properties). I am a fan of the lasting power (no reapplies every hour) and the ability to withstand sweat on the dance floor. If your on the fence about which color to buy, I get the most use out of Midnight cowboy, a nude gold shimmer unique color.

Looks and tasts yummy...
Not a hug fan of lip gloss to begin with, I tend to not buy any unless I have a specific event that calls for it. This however was an impulse buy because I could not--despite my best efforts--resist the name! Whenever there's a lull in the conversation, I whip this baby out of my purse. Besides the realistic, delicious bakery tastes and smells (who doesn't like chocolate raspberry tart?), I do find that the gloss does a great job at plumping without the uncomfortable burn. There is tingling, but I found nothing more than a really minty balm. Like others said, the plumping has no effect if there is other products between your skin and the gloss. That being said, I would not recommend lip exfoliating before putting this on. Also, an unsung aspect that I absolutely love is the texture--its quite unique in that it doesn't stick to every thing, but rather has this slippery feeling, like silicone. Would I buy it again? Yes, even though it is a little spendy

Wonderful Matte Lip Stain!
I cannot believe no one has reviewed this gem yet! Maybe its the title--there's nothing opaque about this stain, unless you count the next day when its still on! I was given this from my makeup artist friend when I told her I was going to a vintage themed party and she said I "had" to wear the Icon, a blue-red color. I wear it every time I dance as well because I know no matter how sweaty I get, I don't have to worry about my lips. Complete strangers will tell me that I have amazing lips when I wear this stain, and it is the most complimented makeup product I own. The brush/bud thingy doesn't do as good of a job as my own lip brush, but in a pinch it works well. One coat is all that is needed. This stuff is the most pigmented lip product I've seen on the market, and it has really powerful staying power, so if you make a mistake, better get it fixed right away before you have a red blotch! I find that I do not need lip primer nor lip liner to get this to stay all day and night, it just kinda does its thing. You will find, however, that exfoliating your lips first will definitely make the overall color more unified. I want more colors, but it is on the expensive side, so keep that in mind before purchasing a trend color.

Really different kind of primer...
I must begin admitting that this primer does really reduce the appearance of larger pores. That being said, it has this weird, almost slimy texture that never completely goes away. Some might call it "silky" but I felt that it made everything that came in contact to my face stick. If you layer too much of it on, parts of it start to peel off and ball up together. It smoothed out the appearance of acne with foundation on top, but it also seems to cause breaks out for me. Definitely will not purchase in the future.

Best Shaving Cream I've found
The consistency of this shaving cream reminds me of the stuff my father had buffed onto his face at the barbers--its really thick and creamy, even though it comes out translucent! It also moisturizes FAR better than even using thick conditioner not to mention its a better price. It says fragrance free on the bottle, but that is not true. There is a faint smell of almond extract that always makes me think of almond biscotti--yum! I find that it does not irritate my skin nor causes breakouts (a big concern of mine), but since I typically don't have ingrown problems, I couldn't say if the claims are true. Oh, and the new packaging is rust proof in case I forget it in the shower!

Always come back to Biolage
I started using biolage color care shampoo and conditioner the first time my stylist gave me some highlights and lowlights almost 10 years ago. Even though I've tried many many shampoos since with varying degrees of success and smelliness, I always keep returning to Biolage. It does keep artificial and your natural color wonderfully lustrous (even reds!), preventing the dreaded "dullness", but it also cleans without stripping and conditions without excess oil. The smell is not super fragrant like most shampoos on salon shelves seem to be, nor does it have a "chemically" smell, but just a ever so slight green scent. Even if you do not color your hair regularly, this is just a good, all around shampoo that definitely treats your hair better than the price you pay.

My Bathroom Staple
About 6 months ago I went on a quest to find a facial cleanser that I could use everyday and would just do its job without over drying/greasy feeling after using it. I tried about 20 different kinds of different brands and in the end I loved the results of Purity but could not stand its smell! Luckily I ran into a friend that suggested this little doozer and ever since I've been in love and tossed all my other cleansers. BM Purifying Facial Cleanser is a milky cleanser that removes all but the toughest makeup and is super gentle on the skin. It does not foam but that does not effect the cleansing action. I saw right away that my oily breakouts started to decrease and after a while my dry spots started to lessen. Despite the hype of "Rareminerals" and "ActiveSoil Complex" I feel that the simplicity of this wash is what will make me come back for more over and over. It offers that simple clean feeling without being stripped, and there isn't added crap to mess with your natural chemistry without a weird smell. There is a slight scent, but it just reminds me of soap. The couple things that bother me really don't have to do with the quality of the product at all: 1) I think that this is quite expensive given the size and amount of cleanser you receive, even though I don't use more than 4 pumps in a given day, and 2) I am really ethically bothered by bareMinerals green-washing. One example that continues to tick me off is the quote "Love Your Mother--Please Recycle" yet they make the plastic of the bottle #5, which most cities cannot or will not recycle! Overall, I would recommend this to anyone who struggles to find a face wash that is simple and just "fits" their skin.

Starts good, ends mediocre
My mother swears by this foundation (she has older dry skin), but I find my younger combo skin just does NOT like this foundation at all, even though I really like UD and most of their products. I began using UD pore-perfection primer, and then used the blurring brush recommended for application. I found that the makeup is very much a silicon-y texture that is super easy to apply and blend and really gives you that "airbrushed" look. However, I struggled applying under eye concealer and other product on top of it--it seemed to not want to stay put! I finished off with a dusting of UD finishing powder and the finished look was quite flawless and lovely. But about three hours later, the foundation seemed to lift off of the places I needed the most coverage! The ending result looked worse than if I didn't apply makeup at all. To make things worse, I think the primer makes me break out :-(. While I think for some this is a really good fit, others who might be more on the oily side will be deeply disappointed, especially if they bought a whole, expensive tube.

Ridiculously BIG Lashes
I originally purchased the Lorac 3D mascara after a friend swore up and down it was the best, but poo! I think she must have mistaken her mascara for this pricy quirky gem. Firstly, it is a BIG bottle with a BIG brush. Don't expect to use the entire brush unless you are blessed with super huge eyes. Using the outer half is all I can manage. The brush itself is very bristly and has no problem transferring mascara onto lashes in one swipe without clumping...but you can never just do one! The formula is VERY thick so its easy to over do it if you are not careful, so this is not your everyday mascara but a going out, super smoke, secret Burlesque dancer mascara. It does not flake, smudge, or melt even in the most hot humid of conditions, but it also requires a good amount of baby oil to get off too. Interestingly, it retains its wet sheen even when dry, giving your eyelashes that "I just shed a few tears, its all okay" look. If the bristle starts to clump up the mascara, I found wiping the tube opening and the brush down with makeup remover got rid of the problem right away. In short, great going out, vamp, or performance mascara choice!

Okay, you made me a believer!
I was suspicious after looking at the reviews (many only reviewed Pristine Beauty products) but curiosity got the better of me so I sent out an email on their web site (the only place to purchase) and they were more than happy to send me a sample in the mail, with confidence that I'd be pleased. At first I was horrified at the lemon meringue pie smell, but then I started rubbing it on my face and--oh my! I couldn't deny that it feels quite unlike any other facial moisturizer I've used so I bought a bottle when my sample ran out. I've been using this for about a month now. Pros (where to begin?)--the smell grows on you and dissipates quickly after application. Awesome moisturizing power, I don't need Argan oil in the super dry winter morning anymore. Soaks into the skin, leaving a supple feeling behind without the oil feeling. Does really heal stubborn scars (took about 3 weeks for my worst acne scars that I've had for years to go away) and dry cracked skin (lips). Doesn't cause breakouts on my angry skin. Reduced my wonderful Norwegian "ruddiness," and reduces acne breakouts. Because it has such a smooth finish, I find that I do not need to use a primer for my everyday makeup anymore. Make up applies super smoothly on top of, and it doesn't seem to affect makeup layering. And the glass flacon is adorable and so reusable! Cons--A little spendy. Does not prevent breakouts (esp hormonal) BUT it greatly reduced the amount I get and the time they hang around. If you have skin problems and haven't found a moisturizer you like, this is worth a try.
