Here are all my reviews:
  • L'Oreal Paris Voluminous Butterfly Mascara

I bought this mascara today, based on the positive reviews I've read here, and I have to say, so far, so good! I'd at first bought the new Covergirl Bombshell mascara, but was disappointed with the product because it was difficult to apply, didn't pump up my lashes like I'd hoped, and had a greasy consistency. So, I exchanged it for this stuff. I prefer thicker, more matte formulas, and the Butterfly mascara is that. The brush seemed a bit gimmicky at first, but I soon got the hang of it. You can just put on one or two coats for a more natural look, or put on three or four for a more dramatic look. Because of the comb-like bristles, there are no clumps, and I didn't get the product smeared all over me like I had with the CoverGirl Bombshell stuff. No flakes, either. I just wanted to mention, my old standby is Clinique High Impact mascara, which is a great, no-nonsense mascara, but since this L'Oreal is half the price, I may have a new favorite!

  • CoverGirl Bombshell Volume Mascara

I bought this at Target yesterday because the word "volume" and the gigantic tube hinted that this mascara would plump up my lashes. I don't really need length, as my lashes are naturally long, but I am always seeking ways to make them look fuller and not spidery. Then I got home and started reading reviews both from this site and others, which psyched me out a bit, because people were complaining how hard it was to get off. However, I took a shower last night and also today after the gym, and the mascara came off both times just fine in the shower with some gentle rubbing. Wasn't any harder to get off than the other mascaras in my bag from brands like Clinique, Maybelline, and Urban Decay. Now, onto the performance. Application is a bit tough with the fat tube and short wands. Akin to using a fat Crayola marker to draw a realistic portrait. The mascara was a bit on the runnier side, especially Side 2, so I had to wipe some off from below my eye. I typically prefer a more pasty mascara. Nothing bad about it, really, but it didn't pump up my lashes like I would have hoped. After this, I went to work for a bit, then the gym, and it stayed put all throughout my workout without any raccoon eyes. It's not bad, it's just not spectacular. I took it back to Target and exchanged it for L'Oreal Voluminous Butterfly Mascara, so I'll be trying that here shortly.

  • Clinique Makeup Brush Cleanser
    10.0

    Clinique Makeup Brush Cleanser

    Love the spray pump;

I was using the MAC brush cleanser before, but I didn't like how the bottle didn't have any spraying mechanism. I'd have to pour the product over the brush or put some in a cup and swirl it around. The Clinique bottle makes it so I can just spray, massage, rinse, pat dry and then let air dry. Seems to work just as well, if not better, than the MAC.

  • Clinique High Definition Lashes Brush Then Comb Mascara

I've used this mascara on and off over the past several years. (I actually don't have to buy mascara much because I survive off the free samples from Clinique Bonus and Estee Lauder Bonus, etc.) But anyway, I decided to bust this mascara out after I had an unopened tube sitting around for a good while. Pro: I almost don't even need the brush part. It's actually possible for me to apply the mascara only with the comb, and in doing so, it really goes on smoothly. Con: It seems to flake just a little as compared to other Clinique mascaras I've used.

  • CoverGirl Fresh Complexion Under-Eye Concealer

I have at least 5 other concealers in my makeup bag right now that I use over this one. Why I even bought it, I don't know...I was being cheap? The color is good (I'm fair and this is not too orangey, which many other brands are - that's why I didn't rate it a 1.) BUT...it's just too thin and completely pointless. It's thinner than my foundation. Heck, I think even my BB cream covers better than this. What gives?

  • Almay Smart Shade Concealer

I bought this on the fly when I needed a quick fix. It has ended up as a sort of "back up" concealer that I keep in my purse for emergency situations. I actually have a bevy of concealers for various acne, dark circles, etc. All in all, it's on the more lightweight spectrum, but it's unique in that the color really does change (not always to an exact skin tone match, mind you) but once blended with a bit of powder to set, it really works in a pinch. As some suggested, it is thinner than some other competitors, but the coverage is buildable. No complaints here.

  • Milani Baked Blush
    10.0

    Milani Baked Blush

    Will be trying this...

I was looking for a new, cheap blush as a cheaper alternative to Nars (which I love, but I no longer work for the retailer that I used to get discounts through.) I had tried Maybelline Dream Bouncy (I mean, who can't be curious about a BOUNCY blush?) But it just doesn't last at all. So, I was at the store where they were having a Buy One Get One Half Off sale, and I thought I'd try the Fit Me! Line by Maybelline. Well, I got home and ended up reading some mediocre reviews on it. To the contrary, I read rave reviews about this Milani stuff on multiple websites. I was surprised because my prior impression of Milani was not good: my aunt had given me some of their nail polishes, and the polish was watery and the packaging just seemed cheap and tacky. But, after reading all the positive reviews (one site even said that this baked blush is a near match for Nars) I will be trying this in the Coralina shade. I'm pretty fair, but I wanted something more orange-y since I'm still pretty stocked on my Nars in Gaiety, which is a cool, non-orangey pink. I also got the Milani Illuminating Face Powder in 03 Beauty's Touch and will be doing a review on that. So far, this blush has a very firm consistency, which means it won't just crumble up and that it will last a long time. So far, it seems very on par both in color and texture to Nars. Has a shimmer much like the Big O from Nars. Can't beat that for over $20 less!

  • Physicians Formula Organic Wear 100% Natural Origin Pressed Powder

I was looking for a powder that did not contain talc or other harmful ingredients. I am almost through my first container and just purchased a second one. The only reason I didn't give it a 10 is because the brush, as many others have said, is absolutely useless. It doesn't pick up the powder, and the little that it does, it just falls off the brush before it can get on your face. I use a makeup sponge instead, and it works great. My face makeup routine includes moisturizer, BB cream, concealer, and then I blend and finish off with this powder. It keeps the shine down and even covers the blemishes that my makeup won't stick to.

  • Estee Lauder Daywear Anti-Oxidant Beauty Benefit Creme SPF 35

The only reason I am not giving this a 10 is because of the limited shades. The lightest shade is still too dark for my skin. However, I still keep going back to this BB cream because it's still the best. I can put up with the too-dark shade by blending it in (gives me a glow) and sometimes putting it under lighter foundation. This was my first BB cream, and I loved it, but I strayed and tried Maybelline and Smashbox. Both were not as good as my Estee Lauder. This one is the thickest and therefore I don't use as much. The Maybelline was OK but very liquidy; I prefer more of a thick BB cream.

  • Wet n Wild Megalast Nail Color

Went on smooth and dried fast. However, it started peeling pretty quickly (the next day). Maybe that's because I used Wet n Wild clear polish as a base and top coat - not sure. Also, the application was pretty thick, as the brush is large and it's hard to get a small amount on the nail. So perhaps that also contributed to the early peeling.
