    REvlon Illuminance Creme Shadow

    A Little Difficult for Beginners

The Revlon Illumniance Cream Shadow collection has nice, opaque colors, but it was hard for me to apply because no applicator was included and the eyeshadows had a pretty sticky consistency. I don't normally use creme eyeshadows, so maybe this product would have worked better for someone who does, but it got all over my eyes and was difficult to remove even with eye makeup remover.

  • Maybelline New York ExpertWear Twin Brow & Eye Liner

I bought the Maybelline New York Expert Eyes Twin Brow & Eye Pencils on a whim. I usually use Almay when I need a brown eyeliner, but I wanted to see if the Maybelline brow pencil would work for me. The pencil looked completely unnatural on my eyebrows (I have black eyebrows and bought the pencils in dark brown). Thinking that I picked the wrong color, I decided to use the pencils as eyeliners instead. However, the pencil was very rough on my eyes. It's not a horrible product, but you could definitely buy a cheaper product that has the same/better quality.

  • Maybelline New York Ultra Liner Waterproof Liquid Liner

I usually don't use liquid eye liner, so my summary might be a bit biased, but I thought that the Maybelline New York Ultra Liner was VERY difficult to use. I wasn't expecting it to go all over my eye, I had to redo my makeup twice the 1st time that I used this product. It takes a while to dry as well, so you'll have to refrain from moving your eyes while it does that. In the end, this liquid eye liner really wasn't worth the effort or the money - there are better ones out there.

  • Maybelline New York Unstoppable Eye Liner

I bought the Maybelline New York Unstoppable Eye Liner in Slate. At first, I was very enthusiastic about it because the shade was not as dramatic as the black that I used to use when I had just started using eye liner. However, the main problem that I have with this eye liner is that it doesn't come with a sharpener. This might not be a problem for those of you who have other sharpeners that you can use, but it can be annoying. The color goes on okay and didn't smudge that much. This is an okay product, but it's not wonderful or amazing.

    E.L.F. Brightening Eye Liner

    Okay Eye Liner, Wonderful Price!

I have the ELF Brightening Eye Liner in Gilded. I thought it was awesome that ELF offered this relatively uncommon color in its line. The quality's okay, the pencil doesn't exactly go on as smoothly or naturally as I'd like, but for the price (it comes with a sharpener too!), it's definitely amazing.

  • Maybelline New York Line Stylist

    Maybelline New York Line Stylist

    Hated the Applicator

I bought the Maybelline New York Line Stylist in Sapphire Glimmer because I thought that the color would look beautiful. However, when I opened the package, the applicator kept malfunctioning and it was difficult to even get the eyeliner to swivel out of its case. This eyeliner doesn't need to be sharpened because it's really really thin, but that also made it less versatile when I applied it on my eyes. I had to repeatedly draw it on my eyes in order to achieve a more noticeable effect. Kudos to Maybelline for offering more colors, but the Line Stylist wasn't worth my time or money.

  • Rimmel London Exaggerate Full Colour Eye Definer

Rimmel London Exaggerate Full Colour Eye Definer

    Beautiful Colors, Easy to Use

I bought the Rimmel London Exaggerate Full Color Eye Definers in Aubergine, Pine, and Ocean. I especially love the Aubergine eye definer because the color goes on very rich and the attached sharpener makes it easy to keep the eyeliner sharp. This is definitely a great product for its price. Unlike eyeliners offered by other makeup companies in similar price ranges, Rimmel's Eye Definers go on the eye reliably and come in a lovely variety of colors.

  • Maybelline New York Define-A-Line Eye Liner

I like that the Maybelline New York Define-A-Line Eye Liner (I bought it in black) has a sharpener attached because I hate using real pencil eyeliners (you know, the kind that actually look like a pencil you would use in school). I've read reviews that praise it's attached smudger as well, but I never used it and didn't see the need to since the eyeliner tends to smudge itself when you've worn it for a few hours (not a pleasant characteristic because it ended up making me look like a raccoon). There are probably better products out there for the price, but the Maybelline eyeliner seems to require less work to maintain, so consider that when you're out buying products.

  • E.L.F. Brightening Eye Color

I bought the ELF Brightening Eye Color in Silver Lining and use it whenever I need a purple-ish eyeshadow. It doesn't really brighten my eyes, but the colors are really opaque and look the same on my eyes as they do in the package. The price is amazing for the quality of the products. However, it does run out pretty fast, so stock up!

  • Physicians Formula Mineral Wear Talc-Free Mineral Eye Shadow Duo

I use Physicians Formula Mineral Wear Talc-Free Mineral Eye Shadow Duo in Classical Minerals almost every day (I also have it in Taupe and Berry Minerals). The colors are subtle and help accent my eyes very naturally (I have dark brown eyes). The brush is really good quality for the price and the compact is helpful if you want to use it on the go. I definitely recommend this eyeshadow for those who want to enhance their eyes without being gaudy/showy.
