  • TRESemme Classic Styling Tres Two Freeze Hold Hair Spray

I don't use hairspray all the time, but when I do, this is the product I use. I like that it's available at Sam's Club (the two pack will last you a life time), which makes it a little more economical. It smells nice; it's one of those products that have people telling you that you smell nice. Also, it works ALL FREAKING DAY! Really. And it doesn't make your hair super-crunchy or horribly untouchable. I mean it's still hairspray, so your hair gets slightly crunchy, but not nearly as bad as others I've tried. I also like that it's a fine misting spray, so you can almost "build" your hairspray coverage and always guarantee that you don't miss any spots. It also leaves your hair looking natural, despite the fact that you might have built up some gravity-defying volume, haha. Occasionally the sprayer can get clogged (I've only had this happen twice in the past few years), but just make sure the take off the sprayer nozzle and rinse it in hot water and maybe poke a pin through the hole and it will revert back to being usable :)

  • Make Up For Ever HD Foundation Invisible Cover Foundation

First off, I really like this foundation. I'd pretty much accepted that I'd always have red cheeks (yay genetics! at least I didn't get my aunt's full-blown rosacea), but this foundation really evens out my skin-tone well. They have a lot of different primers available , which I didn't buy because I'm still finishing off some smashbox primer, but I just wanted to throw that out there for anyone considering this. I have a hard time finding a foundation because I'm pretty pale and pretty pink, but I found a really great match in Makeup Forever. The first day I wore the new foundation, my boss stopped me and said "what are you doing??? your skin looks like porcelain!!!" I have to say, it felt pretty good. I usually apply it with a makeup sponge so that it's a little sheer, but when I want really full coverage I use my fingers. Either way, I get good coverage, and it never feels greasy or slides off my face. Overall I really, really love this foundation!

  • Sephora Kohl Pencil
    8.0

    Sephora Kohl Pencil

    good pencil

High intensity pigment. Good for everyday use, easy to apply, but can be a little smudgy by the end of the day.

  • Frizz-Ease Take Charge Style Managing Mousse

I have frizzy, curly hair that can be pretty unmanageable. Between this, deep conditioning, and a diffuser I end up with long, soft ringlets. I always apply when my hair is sopping wet, distributing evenly, but being careful not to use too much (because then I end up with crunchy-looking and -feeling hair). Then I let it air dry for a while and finish up with the diffuser. I don't get any build-up from this and always get complements on my hair.

  • Pantene Pro-V Nature Fusion Smooth Vitality Conditioner

So I used to always use pantene without complaint until pantene reformulated all their shampoos and conditioners. All the conditioners just felt really watery and runny. I have dry, curly hair (with very oily roots) and needed something that acts like a deep conditioner basically. I put this on and let it sit in my hair for a while while I shave my legs or whatevs and then rinse it out. Unlike what some of the other reviews have said, I don't have any problem with build up or anything. I just get really hydrated, manageable curls. I use the smoothing conditioner because it helps keep my frizzies down. I also always have people tell my I smell really good, even though I don't wear perfume or scented deodorant or anything--the only thing the scent could be is my hair. I absolutely love this product and would recommend it to anyone with curly or dry hair.

  • Pantene Pro-V Nature Fusion Smooth Vitality Shampoo

Gets your hair clean, but honestly I don't notice that much difference in smoothness based on my shampoo. I get more of an effect from the conditioner (I've used different shampoos with the conditioner and gotten the same result). On the plus side, it's a thicker formula than the new pantene formulas, which is why I switched to the nature fusion.

  • Murad Acne Clarifying Body Spray

A little expensive for everyday use, but between a back scrubber and this product, I keep my acne-prone back blemish-free during the summer. I started using this right before I was a bridesmaid in my cousin's wedding and it worked so well that I always keep some on hand now. My 16-year-old brother broke out in "bacne," as he calls it, over the past year and I bought him some of this to use and he cleared up completely. The sprayer works really well in all directions--upside-down, sideways, etc, so you don't have to get someone else to spray anywhere awkward for you. It feels a little cooling when you put it on, but not in a bad way. It's similar to the old Clinique acne spray that they discontinued, and I actually like this one better (even though I LOVE Clinique), simply because the bottle itself is designed well. It seems to last a decent amount of time, but I don't use it all year, and definitely not every day when I do use it (because I feel like it might dry out my skin), but overall it's a really great product.

  • Aveeno Positively Radiant Tinted Moisturizer SPF 30

poor execution! What I liked about the idea of this product was that it's a moisturizer, it's SPF30 (yay no wrinkles), it blended well, and the cost was low enough that I was ok with buying some just to try. What I didn't like, well...first off, the smell: it smelled, i don't know, sort of chemically? Yes, chemically with perfume laid on top of that. Secondly, it felt greasy on my face, which is not something that someone with naturally oily skin wants to slather on her face; also not something anyone wants on their face during a humid summer day I should think. Lastly--and most importantly--it didn't stay on my face at all! If I bumped it, it smudged. If I sneezed, it smudged right onto my shirt/napkin/tissue/whatever I sneezed into. I tried setting it with powder (which really defeats the purpose of a tinted moisturizer in the summer, in my opinion), but even that couldn't keep the moisturizer in place. It was really disappointing because I really wanted this to work, but no dice. I ended up throwing this out after a few tries.

  • Clinique Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief

My favorite moisturizer. It's so mild and smooth (almost like a gel) and feels like it almost gets sucked into my skin. Also, it doesn't cause me to break out!

  • Clinique Rinse-Off Foaming Cleanser

I used to constantly break out, but when I tried a sample of this I noticed an immediate change in the amount of oil and breakouts on my face. I have a very oily t-zone, but my skin dries really easily, and this cleanser is so mild that it doesn't encourage my oil glands to go nuts. I also love that it has a makeup remover in it. The only thing I don't like is that sometimes during the winter my skin feels slightly tight after washing with this, so I usually follow up with Clinique moisture surge. Other than that, I love and recommend this to everyone and have been using it for about 3 years now.
