I used to think that all razors were like, so I never bothered to look at the more expensive ones, I was blissfully happy using my disposable ones that came in packs of ten, and cost $5. Well, recently I was asked to test and review the Gillette Venus Embrace razor and truthfully, I didn't want too. Well, After owning it for a couple of weeks, I took it out of the package and finally gave it a whirl in my shower. Girls - let me tell you, my shaving life changed forever after using this razor. This razor cuts down those trees on your legs with one swipe. Thanks to the moisture band circling the 5 blades, the razor felt like silk running it down my legs. My legs were silky smooth afterwards and I was in love. I don't think I'll ever be able to go back to buying disposables again. The only thing I don't like about this type of razor is that the refills are overpriced. This isn't a negative on this razor personally, because all refills are overpriced for what they are. But I'll probably end up buying them anyway. It's a good thing that this razor comes with a back up blade, so I don't have to worry about getting refill blades any time soon.

The smell ruins it
If I were rating this product just on quality alone, I would give this a perfect 5/5, however there is more to a product than just its quality. This is a new product to the Caress bath line, Evenly Gorgeous is a very nice exfoliating body wash that lathers nicely and leaves my skin feeling soft. The only thing I don’t like about Evenly Gorgeous is the scent. I am very particular about my scents, and I almost always shy away from products that are food scented, such as vanila or sugar cookie. I do like some food scents, such as some apple scents, peppermint and certain citcrus elements when they are mixed with other scents. I do NOT like the scent of the Evenly Gorgeous set. It is a very sweet, sugary, syrupy, food type scent that reminds me of sugar cookies and vanila. Honestly the smell turns my stomach and makes me want to vomit. All sugary smells, food smells do that too me. If the scent of this wash faded after getting out of the shower, then I wouldn’t mind using this wash on occasion. Unfortunately or fortunately, depending on your personal preference, the scent lingers on your skin long after the shower is over. The beauty bar isn’t any better. This bar is susposed to be used on the face, and honestly using a bar on my face does not appeal to me at all. I much perfer using facial washes and scrubs that are liquid and come from a bottle or a tube. I used this once on my face and it was very awkward to handle, and I didn’t really like having the scent of Evenly Gorgeous on my face or near my face. I won’t be using this bar or any other facial bar again.

I have been wanting to try these lipglosses since they made their debut with the Loose Kohls. Since I had such a bad experience with the kohls, I became wary of purchasing these. Fortunately I was sent two Color Pressos to test and review for the blog by Total Beauty. Well, I can honestly say that I didn't absolutely hate these glosses, but I wasn't in love with them either. The packaging of the gloss is very annoying. I find it extremely hard to squeeze both sides to mix the colors. The whole idea behind this product is that you can mix the colors together to get a unique color. Unless you have very strong, large hands you won't be able to use this product as it was originally intended. The glosses themselves are very sheer, one side is a dark color and the other side is a lighter more shimmery color. Only the darker color shows up on the lips, and even then it's very sheer. The scent of these glosses is quite strong, it's a very vanilla cupcake / frosting scent. This may work for some people, but I personally hate almost every version of vanilla out there, MAC lipglasses excluded. I would purchase more of these glosses if I had coupons and these were on sale BOGO Free. Other than that, I feel that these glosses are not worth the high price tag. If you had $15 to spend on a new gloss, I would highly recommend that you pass over these glosses and either pick up a MAC lipglass or buy a few NYX Mega Shine lipglosses.

These liners smudge too easily to wear for any length of time. I live in Northern Florida and I need products that are not effected by heat. These tend to travel from my upper, lower and waterline quickly and leave my face looking like a hot mess, which is not a good thing. I still love the L’Oreal HiP Creme Liners and I will continue to use those. These however are just not for me.

Over-priced and Over-hyped
I was recently sent some tubes of Chapstick True Shimmer to test out and review. I was sent one each of the four types. * Blended Fruit Sherbet (purple) This one tastes like Fruit punch * Tropical (white) Tastes like coconut and sunscreen * Peppermint Rush (blue) Tastes like Peppermint * Tropical Berry - (pink) Tastes like Strawberries I was intitially excited to try these products and I was very dissapointed in these products. I was expecting more when they marketed this as a shimmer product. Shimmer to me is made up of tiny pieces of glitter that make your lips shine and add dimension. The "shimmer" in these chapsticks looks and feels like rough silver glitter, not shimmer. These chapsticks also apply clear, with no hint of their color tint on the lips. When I first applied Peppermint Rush to my lips, all I saw was silver glitter on my lips. When one thinks of chapstick, you automatically think of moisturizing and softening of the lips. I personally have very rough lips, so I am constantly looking for lip balms that make my lips soft and taste either really good or ones that have no taste. I also prefer lip balms that have a high SPF of at least 30. These Chapstick True Shimmers fail on both of these accounts. I actually think these dry my lips out instead of adding much needed color, and I found no mention of any SPF- not even a SPF of 4 - which can be found in just about every lip balm. My assessment of these lip balms goes against many reviews that absolutely praise these products. I just didn't find them worth the hype or the price. For $3, I would expect something more from a lip balm than what I recieved. I can get a two pack of lip balms with SPF of 30 for $1. To me, $3 for this product is just too much.

Lash Blast Anyone?
Two words: LASH BLAST. This mascara is Lash Blast in a black tube. I already own and love LB, so this wasn’t exactly a bad revelation. Since Max Factor and Cover Girl are owned by Proctor & Gamble. Since I never reviewed Lash Blast, consider this review a review of both mascaras, since they perform exactly the same. The bottle and handle of this mascara is quite large, but not unmanagable. It takes some time to get used to, but it is possible to use with smaller eyes. The brush is large and has small plastic bristles, but I actually prefer plastic bristles to traditional brushes. This mascara definitely adds volume and length to my lashes. What surprised me was I get a true curl with this mascara that I never noticed before with Lash Blast. It’s not because of formula or anything, but I started to twirl the brush as I applied it. I get the same effect now with Lash Blast. I totally recommend this mascara for anyone who wants a great everyday mascara with a little WOW factor. Since Lash Blast and this mascara is one and the same. I would say get whatever mascara is cheaper at the time of the purchase.

Max Factor has released a new lipstick called "Vivid Impact" that is filled to the brim with pigment. I normally don't like using Max Factor because of Andrew Luster. But I may have to rethink my views on the brand, after the awesome-ness of this lipstick. It is available in 20 mouth watering pigmented shades, so there should be no problems in finding five or six colors that fit your life. The main reaon why love this lipstick is it's extremely creamy and it applies like a dream. The staying power of this lipstick is pretty good, given the fact that I constantly chew on my lips, that is a great quality for this lipstick. Rose Rouge is a meduim pink color that would look good on most skin tones. It's very flattering for daytime looks. It can be applied so that there is a lot of color, or it can be sheered out for a softer look. Either way, this lipstick is one that belongs in your collection.

I actually have dark circles under my eyes - and the area is also pretty dry as well. I have never used an eye cream, so I had high hopes that this serum would zap my problems and make eventually make them better. Well, this cream did not moisturize my under eye area, which is one of the benefits that are advertised with this product. I also saw no difference in my under eye circles either. So this to me, makes this product basically useless.

Doesn't Do Anything
I don't really have any wrinkles, just a few expression lines on my forehead - which are perfectly normal for someone who is my age. I tried this cream on my forehead, and I got no results what so ever. It didn't work on my shallow wrinkles - so I'm not too confident that it will do anything worth while for deeper wrinkles.

I love SPF - the higher the better. I normally try to stay between 30-45 SPF, so I was happy to try this product out. When I used this lotion, it did not moisturize my skin, even a little - which is something I expect from something called "LOTION." I was also turned off by this product, because it began to irrate my eyes when I applied it to my skin near, not IN my eyes. So I will not be using this product again. To be fair, I do have somewhat sensitive eyes, but you would not expect this from a product that is $40 or so dollars by itself.
