  • Olay Regenerist Intensive Repair Treatment

Thanks to Total Beauty, I was able to try this product for free. To preface my review, I am 26 & very young looking anyway. Before this, I had never really tried an anti-aging product because I haven't needed to. But to my surprise, Olay Regenerist Intensive Repair Treatment was lovely--& it seemed to work very well! First of all, the smell is absolutely delicious. It's quite strong in my opinion, so if you're not a fan of citrusy scents, you probably won't be a fan of this one. What's funny is that it smells exactly like Emergen-C, those vitamin C powder supplements! It smooths onto the skin well, & doesn't leave it ridiculously greasy or shiny. I have combination skin, so my T-zone tends to get pretty oily, but I didn't feel like this made it worse. But to be fair, I did apply the product at night before bed, so it's not like I'm walking around all day with it freshly applied to my face. At first I didn't notice anything, but I was relieved because I had two months to test it out. I can't say exactly when I began to notice results, but it was most likely after the first month or so. All of a sudden, the redness my skin struggles with seemed to be diminishing! And my face looked & felt smoother; more polished. And as luck would have it, two months later I looked even younger. My skin was nicely moisturized & radiant. I could absolutely notice a difference--& I liked what I saw! I've continued using the Intensive Repair every night before bed, & I have to say I'm impressed with the results. I have noticed that this product didn't receive the best reviews, & I'm wondering if the users didn't try it out long enough. Sometimes I want results right away but realize I've got to be patient at times to notice a difference. Perhaps giving it another shot might do the trick. But regardless, I'm very happy with this Olay product & will continue using it. Thank you Total Beauty!

  • L'Oreal Paris EverCrème Sulfate-Free Moisture System Cleansing Conditioner

First of all, thanks to Total Beauty for providing me with this product to review! Unfortunately this wasn't a winner for me. I was skeptical of this cleansing conditioner because I've previously tried Wen, unsuccessfully. But I was open to try another brand, especially since I'd heard so many mixed reviews for Wen. Being sulfate-free, there was absolutely no lather. I expected at least a little, since some of my favorite shampoos have no sulfates but still lather sufficiently. But the EverCreme just felt like really concentrated conditioner being rubbed into my scalp. My hair is super long and I couldn't get even 3 pumps of product past the nape of my neck. It required that much without even covering the length of my hair! When I rinsed, it felt like I hadn't washed my hair, just that it was conditioned very well. That's why I gave the Cleansing Conditioner 1 star--at least it conditioned. But when I got out of the shower and dried my hair, I was right back into the shower to wash it again--this time with actual shampoo!

  • Jergens Natural Glow Firming Daily Moisturizer

I've been using this moisturizing tanner for 3 summers now & it continues to please. For my extremely fair & sensitive skin, I've found it difficult to achieve a more subtle, natural-looking glow. Most appear way too dark & streaky but Jergen has definitely impressed me. I already notice color the day after I begin using it. Just make sure you rub the product into your skin very well & voila! Although subtle you will definitely see a difference. I'd prefer no shimmer but there's not enough to be bothersome. I do happen to like the smell--it's definitely noticeable but a bit tropical & clean. It tends to linger but it's such a great product I can't complain. Only left off one star because I'm not noticing the firming effects but this is the first firming bottle I tried so I'll give it some more time. Other than that the product is wonderful, you can't beat the price, & you're getting color the healthy way. What's not to love?!

  • Wen Lavender Cleansing Conditioner

Sorry Chaz, I'm just not buying it! I was so excited to try this out. Having followed Chaz Dean's career for quite some time, I grew to like him and trust that his products would really deliver. But my faith just got washed down the drain! I have normal hair but it's extremely dense, meaning I have more strands on my head than the average woman. It is color-treated and pretty dry on the ends, but not super damaged. I was hoping this product would work well to cleanse, protect my color, and cut out a step in the usual shampoo then condition routine. What I ended up with was oily, frizzy, frazzled looking hair. It did not clean the hair at all, it was limp and lifeless, and the ends looked like I had put my finger in an electrical outlet! Most seem to like this, so I'm surprised at how turned off I am. At $45 a bottle, I'm definitely returning this.

  • Philosophy Purity Made Simple 3-in-1 Cleanser for Face and Eyes

This is one fantastic cleanser. If you are willing to shell out the extra cash for Purity Made Simple, you will not regret it! I have oily skin and was wary at first when it didn't foam or bubble as I was applying, but have no fear--it cleans like a beast! It is super gentle but so effective. No more worrying about breakouts or midday shine. This is the cleanser of all cleansers!

    Biore Make-Up Removing Towelettes

    BEST face towelettes!

Because I prefer to wash my face while I shower in the morning, my face is clean for the whole day. But when it becomes later in the evening and I want my face clean, smooth, hydrated, and makeup-up/oil-free, I turn to Biore Make-Up Removing towelettes. They're these lovely, freshly scented moistened wipes that are big enough to clean the whole face, leaving nothing behind. I'm prone to acne and oily skin, and if my skin is not clean before bed, I can end up waking in the morning with serious problems! But these wipes are so awesome, they remove every ounce of make-up, dirt, oil, and even lightly moisturize. One of the best things about the Biore wipes? They remove eye makeup like a pro! I can get rid of eyeliner and waterproof mascara, the two toughest types of makeup for me to take off. My sensitive eyes appreciate the gentle yet effective wipes around my eye area. I have tried just about every other wipe out there, just to experiment, and a few times to save money (only a dollar or so, as it turns out). But these are worth the price. They may seem a bit pricey, or the most expensive compared to the competition. But for a dollar more, or even a few cents, you'll be glad you chose these. Good skincare is priceless in my opinion. If I can get my face completely clean at night without having to use soap and water (because I get lazy at night!), I can't think of anything better. Seriously, check out the Biore Make-Up remover towelettes asap!

  • Physicians Formula Eye Definer Felt-Tip Eye Marker

PP products always seem to be toss-ups for me. I either love the product or hate it. This eyeliner is somewhere in between, leaning toward the negative end of the spectrum. From other reviews I've read, I expected a perfect, smooth, sexy, easily gliding cat eye. But what I keep ending up with isn't what I expected. Okay, so it's not terrible. But who wants to use beauty products that "aren't terrible"...? This was almost impossible to use over any kind of eyeshadow; it dragged along, picking up shadow as it went. When I tried it without shadow, it went on a little smoother, but not my much. The cat eye look is easier with makers, and on a bare eye, it works out just okay. It is effective in making the winged tips, but not without some practice. I say skip it and use the Tarte brand of eyeliner.

  • Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Stress Control Night Cleansing Pads

The entire line of Acne Stress Control products is my favorite that Neutrogena has ever come out with. My oily skin is prone to breakouts every now and then but I combat them with this fantastic line. The cleansing pads do not disappoint. The label says you can use them even with makeup on, which is true, but one pad is not enough if I have makeup on. I like to remove my makeup with cleansing wipes and then use these pads a few times a week--but beware, just use one on the face without makeup! These are strong and soaked in the salicylic acid that controls acne so I only recommend them for oily skin. They would be much too drying for dry skin. But boy do they work! Just stick to one a few nights a week and you'll notice a big difference!

  • Lancome Bi-Facil Double-Action Eye Makeup Remover

Lancome is my favorite brand in the history of beauty products. Their stuff hardly ever lets me down, and this eye makeup remover is no exception. It really does the impossible. Whenever I do up my eyes, using waterproof mascara, eye shadow, primer, liner, highlighter...I come home and immediately reach for this product. It's gentle yet tough as nails on even the most difficult eye makeup to remove. My only gripe--as I can see others are annoyed by--is the greasiness. It's half oil after all. But just as long as you're going to sleep and washing your face in the morning, there's nothing to worry about. Bi-Facil is the last word in removing eye makeup. You won't be disappointed!

  • Neutrogena Triple Moisture Deep Recovery Hair Mask

I've always been a fan of Neutrogena. But when I tried this conditioning treatment I knew Neutrogena had completely outdone themselves! At almost 24 years old, I've been chemically treating my hair for half my life. I get it colored, I use blowdriers, flat irons, and curling irons, so the damage to my hair is pretty intense, and obviously noticeable. The first time I used the deep recovery mask, I heard angels singing above. My hair was soft, smooth, shiny, and much more manageable. Hello silky smooth locks, goodbye frizz and dryness! I can't believe at a price like this (and I got it discounted at Nordstrom Rack!) I am getting these results. Ladies, meet your new holy grail in hair recovery. My hair is thanking me.
