I have sensitive, combo skin and discovered that I can only wear powder foundation as liquid causes breakouts, no matter how good the formula is. I hated the original Bare Escentuals - it made me look like an oil slick, and settled all wrong on my face. However, after using Estee Lauder double wear powder foundation for a while (which I liked a lot), I tried this new matte version. It's really wonderful - has great coverage and is very layerable, and while I still get a little shiny throughout the day (nothing a quick tissue blotting won't fix!), the coverage is very long-lasting and my face looks very flawless, natural and healthy. I put some concealer under my eyes and on any little zits I may have, and then apply the powder foundation for an even, finished look - I'm really impressed. When I do break out, my acne treatment tends to dry out my skin, but this powder foundation, despite it's "matte" title, doesn't show any dry spots, which is awesome. I also appreciate how natural the formula is, and the SPF - good for everyone's skin! I took off one star, however, because it is, by nature, messy, as with any loose powder foundation; however, this new packaging is MUCH better than the orignial, at least, w/ the twist cap.

I have sensitive, combo skin prone to breakouts. This is, hands down, the best moisturizer I have ever used, and I have tried them all. It is my go-to nighttime cream, and after extended use my skin has become more supple with no breakouts; in the harsh NYC winter months, it's also my daytime moisturizer and is perfectly light enough to wear under make-up and keeps skin hydrated all day. Also, like the rest of the Kiehl's brand, it's scent-free and not animal tested - a cult product for sure! Worth every penny, and the large container lasts forever.

The best cleanser!
I am in my mid-twenties and have sensitive, combo skin prone to breakouts. This is the best cleanser ever, and I have tried them ALL, including all the expensive department store and Japanese brands. Perfect for morning and evening, it makes a good lather and feels and smells fresh, and really gives your skin a deep clean with no irritation or harsh drying effects; even when I wash my face twice to help remove some stubborn make-up, my skin does not feel dry or irritated, only squeaky clean! I use it day and night and won't use anything else except for occasionally Purpose, which is also a soap-free, fragrance free dermatologist recommended drugstore brand. And for under $8, it's the best value ever - I'm so glad I randomly found this and decided to try it while browsing through the skincare aisle at the drugstore!

Best Powder Foundation
This product puts Bare Escentuals to shame, which I found extremely messy and it made me an oil slick. This product is not drying and yet contains oil well, is easy to apply and is extremely buildable for if/when you're breaking out or have an event. I do not like the sponge, so use my old Bare Escentuals flat kabuki brush to apply, and voilia, my face looks even and flawless! It's also oil-free and noncomodogenic or acneaic, so it is good for your skin (I am prone to breakouts). I use Estee's Ideal Light concealer under my eyes and to touch up blemishes when they pop up. I also appreciate that this powder foundation has SPF, and lasts a really long time, so it's worth the price.

Great for Wavy Hair
This is my introduction to Sebastian products, and I am a fan. I have long, color-treated hair that I leave naturally wavy most of the time - I have a problem w/ slight frizz. I use this post-shower; I work it through and scrunch a little, and then let it be, even sometimes sleeping on it and reactivating w/ some water in the morning. It adds shine and frizz control, and really makes my waves come to life. I also appreciate the texture and light floral smell, and the fun packaging.

Classic scent, but nothing special
This is a woodsy, floral scent, just as it advertises. It's a very classic scent and does have lasting power; nice for the fall/winter seasons. However, as the scent warms on your skin, it can translate to that "older" smell, a la Chanel No. 5 or L'air de Temps. Not bad, just not exactly a "Sex & the City" scent as the ad campaign seems to be pushing. Definitely not YSL's crowning glory.

Stick to regular 2000 calorie mascara
I love Max Factor products, especially their mascara - they are quality products w/ good pigments at an extremely fair price. However, I am not a fan of this mascara - while the formula itself is very wearable (goes on smoothly and lasts all day, no flaking of clumping), the brush is just TOO BIG. It honestly doesn't make any sense! It makes it extremely difficult to apply without getting it all over your eyes. I'm going back to the normal 2000 calorie mascara (I use the waterproof kind, it's wonderful), which is also about $3 cheaper.

A mascara snob (I tend to splurge on Lancome or Dior), I was wary of trying L'Oreal's new Telescopic Explosion Mascara. However, I was pleasantly surprised - I really appreciated the applicator. It's sometimes hard to reach the corner lashes without getting it all over your eye, however this brush prevented that, getting every single lash covered. The forumla was long-wearing and did not flake, and the black color I tried it in was great for day time, and also good for evening if you added an extra coat. However, I took away three stars because it still clumped, and that was frustrating - it took just as long of a time to re-do areas as with a normal brush, and because it dried fast, sometimes the clumps were harder to get out.

I am in constant awe of the $5 price tag on this mascara - as somone with long lashes that has always been a Lancome Definicils or Dior Show Blackout kind of girl, I could not believe this find. Lasts all day, applies easily, doesn't flake, and truly lenghtens and separates, plus adds curl. People are constantly asking me about what I do to my eyelashes, and I just say, one coat of this! I prefer this straight brush, also, for easier application.

Lasting, Moisturizing Concealer
I have tried so many concealers (expensive and drugstore brand) and this is my favorite. I am 25 and have an acne-prone skin, w/ an oily t-zone and dry cheeks (I am currently on Retin-A Micro. This is the only concealer I've tried that is easy to apply, lasts the whole day and doesn't accentuate my dry spots/patches. It blends excellently and gives great coverages for break-outs, while being gentle enough for under the eyes.
