A long time staple in my skincare arsenal
When I was a wee one, say middle school-ish age, and I was trying to get rid of the goose flesh so many of us have on the backs of our arms, my mother brought me to her derm and he recommended this. At the time I just wanted kids to stop making fun of me, and this stuff really did help... but I was too young to fully commit to any sort of product, no matter how helpful, and eventually it fell to the wayside. Nearly a decade later I have been reminded how magical this product is. It solves nearly every skin woe. I use it everywhere, dry skin or not. It softens dry skin like nothing else, and any sort of bumpiness or lack of smoothness you have anywhere on your body doesn't stand a chance. I have also been known to dab a teeny bit on a spot now and then, and it works like a charm without giving you that perpetual impossible to cover flakiness that a lot of other products give you. It is even great for softening your feet! And while it may not have the best scent in the world, I have grown immune to it simply because this cream is undoubtedly a HG skin cure-all.

Hair saviors don't have to smell good!
Wow. Just, wow. My hair has been through the ringer in the last week. I used a color remover in a misguided effort to return to my natural color.. only to discover uneven red ends and dark brown roots. I then bleached it several times (with varying degrees of developer strength). Yes, it was very stupid idea considering I have mid back length hair that I've had for over five years with no intention of cutting it anytime soon, that has generally responded fairly well to chemical and heat treatments. The night before last I was so disgusted with my hair and what I had done to it I could barely sleep.. so I went to Sally's at 9 am sharp prepared to buy some intensive hair reconstruction products... I came across a shelf full of Aphogee products and had recalled several readers singing its' praises... so I took a chance on the treatment (which consists of the pre-wash, the protein treatment and the re-conditioning post-treatment). I wasn't expecting much, simply because my hair literally appeared to be beyond repair (so bad that I had made an appointment with my hairdresser for next week as it was breaking off in my brush). Sure it was stinky but it fixed my hair. The true test came today when I straightened it... and it came out just as beautiful as it previously did, if not moreso.. smooth and shiny, and the breakage has stopped. A lot of hair professionals would probably have said my hair was beyond repair, but I wonder if they know about this little miracle. It really was my saving grace... it saved me from having to cut off a foot of hair. I will never be so reckless with my hair again ever (we all have to learn that lesson sooner or later I suppose), but I am endlessly grateful for this product.

My Holy Grail Mascara
od (and Fresh) -willing, I will wear this mascara till the day I die, even if I have to compose the rest of my makeup arsenal enttirely with Wet n Wild. I am a mascara addict and I have spent the last few months bouncing between various mascaras, and after re-trying this stuff at Sephora the other day, on a whim, I scolded myself for not immediately re-purchasing this after I last ran out. I admit, I have been blessed with thick, long eyelashes (according to some), but I still like to amp them up as much as I can, and this stuff does the trick. I love it for so many reasons, it's hard to find a place to begin! You don't have to scrub the delicate skin around your eyes raw or lose eyelashes just to get it off, which is one thing I LOATHE about other mascaras, and not just the waterproof ones. Another thing I love about this mascara is the lush, buildable formula. You have the freedom to coat your lashes once for a bit of lash definition, twice to amp it up a bit, and three times if you want people to ask you if your eyelashes are falsies. Another thing I adore about this stuff (yes I know, I could write an epic love poem about this magical goop) is that it eliminates the need for an eyelash curler, completely. I say this because I have attempted curling my lashes prior to applying it, and it made my eyelashes curl back so far and awkwardly that it was counterproductive. Yes it's expensive, but it is, in my opinion, nothing short of miraculous (as far as mascaras go) and therefore it is entirely worth carving a place in your budget for. Your eyes will thank you.

Love this- definitely a new powder staple for me!
I had been very devoted to MAC Studio Fix Powder ever since I can remember wearing makeup.. maybe ten years or so. I will still continue to use it in conjunction with this product, alternating, of course. I am a MAC junky by nature, so it really takes something special to divert my attention.. and after using the Laura Mercier Pressed Mineral Powder for about a month or so, I really wish I'd discovered this stuff sooner. I think most of all I love the diversity of it.. you can use it in a flash if you don't have time for primer, foundation, concealer AND powder. You can wake up in the morning, dab on some moisturizer and throw this on. Better yet, you can use a concealer brush for any extra coverage you may need. I have combination skin with a little extra shine in the t-zone area and normal/drier cheeks, and I find that using this more liberally in my t-zone and less so elsewhere works magically. It works hard to soak up oil where it has to and doesn't dry me out elsewhere. I appreciate the SPF 15 quite a bit as well as it seems many other powders don't seem to try to utilize any sort of SPF, and every last bit of it you can get is helpful (unless of course you want to age prematurely.) I could continue to sing praises for this stuff but I will simply say that if I were forced right now to throw all my makeup away (heaven forbid) I would keep this over all else cause it really does it all.

Pretty darn good!
I tried this today at Ulta out of curiosity, but didn't purchase it. Not because I didn't like it but because I wasnt sure how often I'd remember to use it. I don't know if I would use it as a primer per se, as much as I'd like to use it on my own. It gave a really lovely smooth, matte appearance to the lips; it perfected and evened out the color and texture while still looking like nothing was there. The more I'm thinking about, the more I'm considering going back tomorrow to buy it!
