    Prescriptives Liquid Powder

    Magic Liquid Powder

I recieved a sample of this product and liked it a lot. This powder has a nice, cool feeling. It's weightless and applies beautifully. I went online to purchase it only to find that it comes in one shade-- the darker tones have apparently been discontinued. This is pretty much the only reason I don't give this product a higher rating. While it is labeled tranluscent, it does leave a bit of pastel pink cast even when only a small amount is used, at least it does on me. As is, I can only use this as a highlighter because the light, pinkish tone would make my olive, tan skin look ashy if I tried to apply more of it to my face.

  • Prescriptives Lash Builder Mascara Basecoat

This is a fantastic basecoat-- it makes my lashes look very thick and even longer no matter what quality mascara I use. I didn't experience any clumps with the tube I purchased. I like to pair this with Diorshow mascara or L'Oreal Voluminous to get a fasle lash look.

  • Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter

This might be one of my favorite lip products. It's very moisturizing and the colors go on gorgeous. Since they are sheer, I was a little worried that the two shades I purchased would look the same (in my experience, sheer colors tend to look the same on me, whatever shade I try on), but they do look different so you actually do get a large sheer color range to choose from, which is nice. Since it is a balm, it's not super long lasting, but I expected that.

  • Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain

I love the Just Bitten stains so I decided to try the balms as well. While these definitely don't last as long as the stains on me, I still like them a lot, They're very moisturizing, have a light minty scent, and the colors are gorgeous. They remind me of Tarte's Lipsurgence, but are much more affordable.

  • Revlon ColorBurst Matte Balm

I decided to try this balm because I like the lJust Bitten lip stains and this didn't dissapoint. The packaging is nice, it has a light minty taste and scent, and it's very moisturizing. It doesn't last nearly as long as the lip stains do, but the color is nice and it feels nice on. It reminds me a lot of Tarte's Lipsurgence, which I had tried on before purchasing the Revlon version.

I have the Twinkle Pink shade and the color is a dead on dupe for Nars O_gasm-- same shade of peachy pink with glitter specks. It's very wearable; I was worried the glitter might be come off looking Vegas- show girl-ish, but it gave off a nice shimmery look instead. It's well pigmented so I don'thave to pile it on. It hasn't clogged my pores or made me break out either. This is a fantastic value.

  • E.L.F. Studio High Definition Powder

After hearing a bunch of rave reviews about HD powders, I decided to try this one out, considering how much less it costs than ones I saw advertised. I'm happy with my purchase-- it sets my makeup beautifully and controls oil for hours. It hasn't made me throw out my oil blotters, but I still like its oil controlling properties. I was worried by the fact that the powder was white because I have olive toned skin which tends to look ashy when white powder is applied, but it's truly invisible once it's applied to the skin. You get a lot of product so you'll want to buy extra powder puffs. The downsides? A very bulky container.

  • E.L.F. Essential Shimmering Facial Whip

This is a fantastic buy. Firstly, it's only a dollar for a tube, secondly, you only need a minisule amount of product to get results. In all honesty, I use less than a quarter of a pea size to highlight my cheeks, nose, cupid's bow, and around my brows. More than that and you'll get waaaay too much shimmer. The color is very similar to Benefit's High Beam. The only drawback I can think of is that it's not the easiest product to spread and blend because it's thick. Even so, it doesn't clog my pores or feel heavy once blended, so it's definitely worth a try if you want a great highlighter & don't want to spend thirty dollars on a nice one.

    E.L.F. Studio Powder Brush

    Studio Powder Brush

You won't find a better deal on a brush. For less than five dollars, you'll get a brush that doesn't shed, is easy to clean, evenly applies make-up, and is very comfortable on the skin. It's not the least bit scratchy either. I use it as a liquid foundation brush and never get a splotchy, streaky look. Usually, you are sacrificing something when you buy the cheaper version of an item, but not here.

  • Urban Decay Naked2 Palette

This is probably my favorite shadow pallette in my makeup collection-- and I'm personally a bright shadow lover. This pallette is so well pigmented, the shadows are velvety so they're east to blend, and all the colors mix and match. The colors in this collection would fit any skin tone and you can create looks for every occasion. It's expensive though, so if you are strapped for cash, fear not-- Wet n Wild brand has some dead on color dupes (but you will be trading in some of the shadow quality).
