NARS Blush

truly worthy of the hype

This blush is worth every penny - and all the good things you hear are true! It lasts all day and a little goes a long way - but most importantly it's flattering no matter what your skin tone. I use it when I'm pale in the dead of winter and (faux) tanned in the summer. I especially love the slight sparkle in super org*sm.

Cosmedicine Medi-Morphosis Self-Adjusting Exfoliator

The most essential part of my skincare routine

I discovered this exfoliator via a sample at Sephora a little over a year ago and I absolutely cannot live without it. It's a great value for the money, you need just a little bit (less than a dime-sized amount) 2 or 3 times a week. I use it in the shower after cleansing my face. What's so great about this exfoliator is that you can't over-exfoliate, the beads will start to dissolve before that happens. It's important to note, however, that the beads will not completely dissolve. The effects of this exfoliator can be felt and seen immediately - after use my skin is so soft and clear, and after the first few weeks I noticed that my skin tone had started to even out. This might have been due to the fact that my perfectly exfoliated skin could more easily take in ingredients in my lotions and what not.

Philosophy Amazing Grace Perfumed Hair Conditioner

Lightweight but still effective

This is my favorite everyday conditioner. It obviously smells clean and wonderful and is true to the "Amazing Grace" line. However, my favorite part of this conditioner is that it's lightweight but still manages to make my course, frizzy hair soft and silky.

L'Occitane Shea Butter Body Lotion

A luxury worth every penny!

Whether it be winter or summer, I LOVE slathering this on after a night-time shower. It smells so light and clean, and it keeps my dry, eczema ridden skin moist all the way through the following day. I know it's ridiculously expensive, but I think it's a treat worth every penny.

Nowhere else have I found a lip balm that has SPF, is tinted (I LOVE hue 30G), and moisturizes well? This stuff is an absolute essential in my purse all year round.

Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion

Genie in a poorly designed bottle

I was skeptical about adding the additional step of a primer to my morning routine, but my eyeshadow tends to do a disappearing act by lunchtime and by the end of the day my eyeliner likes to work its way down my face. This, however, solved both of those problems. It goes on smooth and both eyeshadow and liner last all day. I especially love the new champagne colored primer potion - it's such a wearable color, and even though it layers well I find myself wearing it alone even on days that I'm not pressed for time. My only complaint about this product is the packaging and applicator - it's pretty but inefficient and it's hard to use all of the product in the bottle.

D.J.V. Beautenizer Fiberwig LX Mascara

Can't stand alone

I find that this mascara works pretty well - if used on top of another mascara. When I use it on it's own I find that the fibers don't have much to hang on to (likely due to the fact I have short, straight, Asian lashes). However, used on top of another mascara (Diorshow Iconic is my fav), it really does a lot to lengthen lashes. It stays on really well too. However, I don't have the time or patience to use this on a daily basis.
