Favorite new beauty tool!
I was able to review the PMD Personal Microderm. I was so excited to do so! I have been wanting one for a long time. I have tried it twice since it arrived and will continue to use it and I've tried it once so far on my body. A little about me: I have combination skin with some areas that tend to be oily and a few areas that can be dry. I have sensitive skin. Last summer I got a few sunspots. I wore sunscreen but missed an area. I also have a few wrinkles on my forehead. I take really good care of my skin but aging does happen so I am always looking for ways to combat aging. I would say that my skin is in really good shape with some signs of aging. I do not suntan and wear sunscreen. I like to use masks and toner and have a daily regimen. I have used the micro dermabrasion that comes with little particles in a lotion or gel that are rubbed into the skin somewhat like a mask and then are immediately washed off. I have never had a microdermabrasion done at a doctor's office. The package includes everything you need to get started. Included is a training disc, few discs for face and body for sensitive skin and another few discs for the very next level, medium. Also included is a DVD how-to, an instruction pamphlet and a power cord. I am glad that the company chose a power cord instead of batteries. I think it will last longer. The machine was louder than I expected. This might annoy some people but it didn't bother me at all. If a machine works well, a little noise is worth it to me. I like the feel of the PMD Personal Microderm. It fits nicely and isn't too heavy. I am right-handed and can tell whether right-handed or left-handed, it will work well for both! The DVD was very helpful. I am a hands on learner so watching the DVD made it so much easier to use. In the DVD, they explain that after using the PMD Personal Microderm, your beauty products will be absorbed better by up to 20%. It is really easy to use. I like using it after a shower. I pull my hair up and let my skin dry completely. I started with the training disc. The instructions state that the skin must be pulled tight to allow suction. It is a little tricky for me to get suction in a few areas but I think after a few more uses, I will have it down. Suction of the skin has to happen for the device to do its job. Even with the training disc, I had a little bit of stinging in my cheek area but it wasn't really painful. I could see dead skin falling off immediately even with the training disc. As soon as I was done, I put on a soothing gel intended for use after microdermabrasion. This isn't the same brand as PMD. PMD does sell beauty products to go along with the machine but I didn't have them on hand. The first benefit I noticed was how soft my skin felt. The very next time I used it, I tried the next disc which is for sensitive skin. It wasn't painful and I got better at suctioning. Again, I saw dead skin falling off. My face turns bright red after every use for a few minutes and I can tell the device is working. This works well for my sensitive skin and I can't wait to see it reduce my fine lines. I love how soft it has made my skin feel! My sensitive skin seems to be fine with gradually going to the next level disc and I plan on trying the medium level disc for the third use. I did try it on my body. There is a disc that is made for all over body including feet that is the highest level, the black disc on thePersonal Microderm's website which sells for about $15. I used the highest level disc that was included in the package for the body which is medium level. It worked really well on the arms and suction wasn't an issue in this area. The third level disc was strong enough for my arms at this time but I could see myself buying the highest level disc in the future if my skin needs a higher level. The only issue I have with the PMD on the body is using it on areas that are very angled. Of course, I am not writing about the discs level of removing dead skin since I did not have the highest level available but am reviewing the ability to suction. On the feet, I couldn't always get it to suction no matter how I angled it or pulled the skin tight. Again, suction is a must for the device to work. But it works great on most areas so I would only dock it one point for the body. Clean up is really easy! It takes a minute. Just pull the filter and rinse it, rinse the cap and top of the disc with soap or use rubbing alcohol. Each little disc can be used 2-4 times and the device comes with more than enough to get anyone started. I found the replacement discs online for around $9-15 for 6 refills, 2 for body and 4 for face. Not bad when considering how much it would cost to go to a professional. I would rate this much better than any microdermabrasion cream or gel you could buy and this device really works. I love the machine and would recommend it to anyone! I find myself counting the days until I can use it again.

Adds extra sparkle to my hair!
I got to try the Wella Shimmer Delight thanks to TotalBeauty. I've been using it for over a month. I absolutely love the pretty sparkle it adds to my hair. It is immediate and it last for hours. I love how it makes my hair look! I have oily hair so I only use this in the morning when I will be taking a shower in the evening. I wouldn't leave this on for more than 8 hours. It doesn't feel heavy but it does leave a little bit of product that I can feel. It feels very soft to the touch. But if I left it on too long, it would just feel too oily. I only need a few spritzes to get that pretty shimmer. The instructions say to spray at an arm's length. It has a nice scent that isn't overwhelming which is very nice because some hair products are too strong. I also like the cost. I found it online for under $10 and with only a few sprays needed a day, it really is a great value. I will be buying this product when I run out.

I really do like this product. It smells great and it makes my hair soft. But the price is outrageous and the bottle is so small. It just doesn't last long enough. Plus my hair always takes a lot of conditioner so it runs out fast. I can find other brands that do just about the same but with a better value. If they made it bigger but kept the same price I would go back to it.

Love this applicator!
I don't buy Mary Kay all the time but I have tried their product several times and have never been disappointed. I was given the opportunity to try Timewise repair volu-firm eye renewal cream. I was a bit nervous because my eye area is very sensitive and I usually use gels instead of creams. So far, my eye area has done well and I have had no problems using this eye cream. I love the metal applicator! I wish more companies would do this with their eye products. I notice I use less, which equals less waste because I am using the applicator and putting it right on my skin. I also like that it hasn't caused any stinging or pain around my eye area. The only reason I don't give this product 10 stars is because I still have to use my fingers to rub it in. But this really isn't that big of deal to me. I've used this for a month now and notice a small difference in my eye area. I want to give it even more time to see if it reduces wrinkles because with my skin, it takes awhile to know for sure. I love Mary Kay so I believe it will. I would buy this product again!

Great dry shampoo for any budget!
I have oily hair so I was concerned that the Suave Professionals Keratin Infusion Dry Shampoo would make my hair feel more oily or heavy. I used it in between showers. My first time, I accidently sprayed it on my hair instead of the roots in the back and it gave me gray stripes. But they brushed right out. I have to spray it really close to my hair to get only on the roots than the recommended 8-10 inches. I have a lot of hair so that gets in the way. So be sure to check that you sprayed it on the roots and didn't get it on your actual hair. After the first time, I got the hang of it immediately and it is extremely easy to use. It feels wet but dries very fast. The dry shampoo has a summer flower scent that is very strong. I like the scent but would like it toned down a notch. The smell may be overwhelming for those with scent sensitivities. The scent did stay strong for hours after I used it. That is the only reason that I didn't give this dry shampoo 10 stars. I was pleasantly surprised that it actually made my hair feel less oily and more manageable. It really helps in between showers. Time wise, I really like to take showers every other day, but feel like I need to shower every day for my hair. My skin gets dried out from daily showers so this is a dilemma for me. But Suave Professionals Dry Shampoo actually helps me feel fresh and take less showers. Another bonus is that it retails for under $3.50. This is a product that I will recommend to everyone and use again.

Not quite the right product for me
I tested out the Aveeno Positively Ageless Correcting Tinted Moisturizer SPF 30 for the past month. It is pretty reasonably priced and comes in a nice package. The product is labeled light to medium skin tone. It was much too dark for me. It did lighten up a bit a few minutes but it was still way too dark for my skin. I searched at stores and online to see if there were any other skin tones available but couldn't find any. For this reason, I wouldn't use this product again. On the plus side, I absolutely love the scent. It is isn't overwhelming but just strong enough to be pleasant. I also like that it has 30 SPF. I wore it while out on a walk and did protect me from sunburns. I like having two products in one. It cuts down on my time getting ready every day. Great idea for a product but it needs some tweaking when it comes to the shades available.

Favorite dental floss
I buy the whitening Glide dental floss. I like this floss because it doesn't shred or get caught in between my teeth. It also isn't too thin so it get the job done. This floss is priced very reasonably.

A must-have for every purse!
When I saw this product, I was really excited. I hate flyaways and my hair has some at my part. John Frieda's Full Repair comes in a cylinder tube slightly bigger than a tube of mascara. The applicator is just a little bigger than a mascara brush. It has a nice, clean scent that's not too strong. My hair can be oily and I was concerned that Full Repair may make my hair more oily. This wasn't the case. I was impressed that it really helped! It kept my hair looking nice with no flyaways for the whole day. I liked that it didn't make my hair stiff like hair spray can do. It can be reapplied as needed but I only needed it once per day. I also liked that the brush brought out just the right amount of product and wasn't a mess. The price isn't bad either; just $10. I will continue to use Full Repair Touch-Up Flyaway Tamer. I love this product!

I love this product!
I have wavy hair which can be annoying because it isn't straight or curly and has a mind of its own. I used this product after showering. I put a small amount in my hair. I have oily hair but I found this product worked well with my hair type. I have oily hair, I didn't put too much near my scalp. It increased my waves and accented them. I also liked that it made my hair very soft. I would always shower the next day after putting it in my hair. Otherwise, I do think it would have added oil and buildup in between showers but most products do that to my hair so this just goes with my hair type. I loved the scent too. It is a fun product that works great for me. I think the price is very fair for the big size you get.
